A keeper An incarnate Syllina A blazing elemental- keep noted that I killed about 30 of the elementals before 1 dropped, so I advice if go here looking for the dust, only kill the elementals if you're bored.
The first weeks I tried selling these I did well with them going at around 35p each. However, I got out of the dust market weeks ago when there were many, many people offering dust by the hundreds. It was very difficult to sell them much higher than 5p each. Now there are only a handful offering dust again and prices range from 1p (few offers) to 60p. Most at the mid – high range. What they actually sell at atm I don’t know. But like most of the combinable markets the going price swings widely in response to the pressures of supply and demand. The problem may have something to do with the fact that buyers don’t come along every week but when they do they want loads and loads. If you’re looking to set a price I’d baz the current market and go with the flow.
These are full-stack sellers though, so the more you have the more valuable they are to buyers who don’t want to run back and forth across the bazaar collecting hundreds of them in 1s & 2s. If you only have 2 it’s probably best to sell low and make room in your satchel for the next sales item. If you have 200, I’d try a price higher in the range. (Some guy selling one lousy dust isn't your competition here so don't try to underbid him. That's a common rookie mistake. And on the flip side, if you're the guy with one lousy dust, don't try to get top-plat. Unless you really, really like the way it looks sitting there in your trader satchel every week.)
The Bazaar isn’t CostCo. There’s no way for a Trader to cut ‘costs’ on full stacks, therefore no reason to discount full stacks. (Unless they are just desperate for a sale, which is a good way to lose plat which isn’t why most players go to the trouble of running a Trader.) It takes the same investment of time and plat for each dust you acquire whether you have 2 or 200. Serious buyers are willing to pay much more per dust buying by the stack than they would if they had to buy them a few at a time.
I wouldn't put much time or plat into acquiring dust though… it’s nice that it stacks to 200 which makes it efficient space wise… but if your long run experience is like mine you have to wait a long time before the buyers show up and the market swings can be frustrating. You typically won’t get much return unless you are lucky, or very skilled with your pricing and your patience.
These are currently selling only very, very occasionally (big stacks) in the 20p range on Bristlebane. They ofc are often available all the way down to 1p fairly regularly but usually from those who don’t have much to sell and/or wish to sell quick… Or those who simply want a tad more than the Buyers are paying, assuming there are any Buyers up for Dust at all.
All the sunshards haven’t been in the heavy demand they were at in the first months after the last expansion release. It’s still there ofc, and ebs and flows, but in general players seem to bring it in from drops faster than it goes out right now, so prices are down in general, especially on the ore atm.
If play increases after the last of the schools let out, I wonder if demand will increase because more people will have time for trade-skilling… or if supply will increase because there are more people spending more time farming drops.
In the last few months’ I’ve known people to sell full stacks (200) of these at 35-40p. Bazaar Prices range from 1p (rarely) to 400p. (30-50p average) No indication that they move for people at prices set higher than average. They can often be sold at the bazaar to players (/barter) from 1-5p. Prices seem stable the last couple weeks but may still be on an upward trend in general, it’s hard to tell.
Sunshard Dust sells for 0 plat 0 gold 0 silver 5 copper when offered to Sateal Deirosap vendor in the bazaar by level 3 human monk with 143 cha... Current bazaar price 10 to 100 plat on Bertox server... I did not sell on to the vendor to get buying price because I lost the sunshard pebble I did that with... smile...
