I had a tracker with me. This guy pops up at one of several towers in the zone. We killed him twice. As soon as he died, Hasten Bootstrutter popped. Maybe one of several placeholders for Hasten. On Al'Kabor server.
I just tried to solo one of these BLUE con to my 25 shaman. COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!!!
Malaise needed a few casts to stick, then Insidious Fever resisted like 1 out of 8 times, then when Affliction was cast that was resisted 1/10 times, THEN when Envenomed Bolt was cast, was resisted 1/15 times!!!!!
Running oom having to cann all the time, recasting slow = STUPID!!
Don't come here to solo if all the undead are like this to a shaman.
Must be rough to be casting Ebolt at lvl 25 since it is a lvl 49 spell. Before posting info get your story streight. Learn how to play your class and if you cannot learn play a Warrior.
im a lvl 19 monk and i want to find this and kill it. i should be able to with buffs... but i might die. can anyone tell me if ill win? p.s. i have fist of bone, and these bras kunuckles i got from a quest.
There may be other uses for it, but one of the uses is as a research component in magician spell research. I believe it's the lvl 20 water pet spell. Not sure, but I think I have seen it drop off the hermit in South Karana as well.
Yes the only use I know for it is in magician spell research. It is also used for the level 24 water pet spell also.
As with all of the of the mage spell research items like Ice of Velious, Flame of Vox, Scent of Marr, Gloves of Rallos Zek, etc. etc. along with the words needed, they are all random drops from mobs of the appropriate level (approximately) of the level of the spell they are used to create. Same way with necro research words, and chanter pages.
So, the moral of the story is, give and of these items to your friendly neighborhood mage, or sell them to a vendor so we can find them, or put them in your Bazaar trader satchel so we can also find them. Thanks.

yes, skeletons fake death, though only monks do it in combat. you see pile o' bones on the ground, go over to loot, and then they start try'in to KICK YOUR ***! The putrids in Qhills do it all the time.
Yes, skellies do fake death. Anyone who's hunted ruins, such as those in Qhills, Nektulos, or Karana plains, has seen this. HOWEVER, they are NOT dead, and when you click them, your target bar will show a full-health mob. Always target, always con, and spend less time running naked for corpses. This helps if you're camping Pzyjn and you don't want to loot every one of the three thousand skellies you're going to see. Good hunting.
Many skeletons FD. You try to loot them and THAT's when they come to life and start kicking your ***. Unfortunaltely, I was at a bit of a high level at the time and it was just a regular skeleton, That's when I kicked HIS ***.
Ghoulbane finnaly procced, does about 130 something to them, they dont have much HP so they fall easily. soloing them at 20 with a ghoulbane is a breeze.
I have seen these range anywhere from 21 to 27, but they stay towards the middle, mostly. I don't recall ever getting particularly great loot from them, mostly just a couple plat in coin, maybe a little less. As an enchanter, I have to do very little for these; the tanks seem to have no problem handling them, but the occasional stun can't hurt too much (although they are pretty hard to get off once they aggro you). My spells can usually stick to un-tashed yellows, and spells also stick to tashed reds a lot. They are not particularly difficult, if you have enough people attacking--they dodge a lot more than most others and hit a little harder, but don't have a tremendous amount of hp. DD spells seem particularly effective, but 2 tanks have little trouble with an even or yellow con when properly buffed--20% hp loss each, if that even.
The above statements are based on personal experience and should be treated as such. To the extent of my knowledge at the present moment it is factual, but may be erroneous, invalidated in a future patch, or may be the product of too many caffeine-powered sleep-deprived nights in Unrest.
They also drop dull bone chips. No clue on the use for those. I have also seen warbone chips. Cant remember what they drop from, probably barbedbones I think.
Ok, OK, if their faster than monks because they have no tendens then how are they even holding themselves together. Thats the jobs of the tendens. Just a side note =p
Did you ever notice that the undead , in most legends, where summoned by the forces of EVIL to do evil tasks -----> in EQ it's Necro's that are the evil class and that's why they have undead pets! The undead here are no diffenrent except it aint' no necro who summoned them...
BTW: I'M A PALADIN!!! I FIGHT UNDEAD AND EVIL MAGIC! IF I FIGHT IT I MUST UNDERSTAND IT!
The Skeletal Monk is in upper guk and under the water in the room with the planks and spiders.. also 'Tempus' is downt here.. he doesnt talk to me 41 DE SHD Veeshan

This person didn't actually do too bad a job of typing that in. I've seen alot worse. I've seen people write a whole post with no commas or periods and then you ask what they are talking about... They reply "yeah n00b u dont get it cuz u a n00b" Lozers.
hmm if a monk fought one of these shouldn't it be an even fight if they're the same lvl? NOOOOO for some reason these attack faster than their human counterparts
These monks are much like their character counterparts; although they can't take as much damage as other mobs their level, they will beat you down with a quickness, so make sure that your casters don't aggro them before your tanks get in some damage or they'll be dead before you can taunt.
