First kill got a topaz and the twice-woven silk. 2nd kill got a topaz. 3rd kill I got twice-woven cloak and a topaz...not sure if I'm lucky or not but it was fast.

Faerie, not fairy, drops the earth

So I took my drog and my MSII pet down to Lfay the other day, and I park myself somewhere near the middle of the faerie city. I massacre every faerie I see, and loot the guards. I also killed... gearheart, I believe the name is, and my faction with faerie dropped considerably... or so it would seem. After all this, I'm still not KoS with the faeries.

Anyways, I clear out the city, and no drop. I also kill all the wanderers, and then the repop happens and I start the massacre all over again. I killed several of these and one "A Fairy Guard". I looted the one I killed before I had sent my pet to take care of the fairy, and sure enough, it was this mob with the power. The fairy didn't drop anything I was interested in.

All this took a half hour, maybe (level 50).

I just finished gathering the Power of Earth from these folk (would really like to get my faction back up - it seems to me that being hated by faeries is probably bad luck! If anyone knows how...) and I looted an item not listed above: "Morning Dew". I've only seen it once - whereas the other stuff seems pretty common - and its a tradeskill item. Does anyone know what its for?

Had to get the power of earth from these little pains yesterday. 52 mage.

Just for fun, I reclaimed my pet, slapped a DS on myself, and went around and hit everything in camp with a level 1 nuke to get aggro. Once I had about 15 or so of them on me (1 died from DS alone), I cast scintillation and AEd the whole village.

Nothing had more than 600hp. Most of them cast on me, but nothing made it through resists. They took about 1/3 of my health with so many beating on me. Loot was OK. Got a couple plat in cash, some bronze and fine steel, the twice woven stuff for quests, and my power of earth. Trivial at best, but it is always fun to do a massive AE.

This tactic works so beautifully that I had to give it some kudos. My caster group and I (my 24 Enchanter, a 24 Mage and 24 Necromancer) followed the strategy above and it worked like clockwork. I targeted the guard, moved back to max casting distance and then pulled with Tashani. The Guard came, Gearheart came and also a random light blue con Faerie came. Pets engaged and I mezed the guard and faerie. The pets handled Gearheart with the help of my Tash and Slow. Killed the Faerie next and finally took the guard afterwards. Our Mage was elated when the Guard dropped the Twice Woven Cloak on the first kill.

OK as a Lvl 20 druid i was wandering around with my new 'track' option and i decided to go to GF hehe and low and behold i found faerie duchess which was blue to me. killed it. liked it. moved on. hehehehe. on my track i found that farie gaurds were usually yellow and white to me and most of the farie royal gaurds were red to me. but the good news was that all have VERY low magic resistance and not too many hp's. I didn't have any problem rooting them, dotting them, then blasting the crap outa them(sorry i not very good at kiting, so i hunt like a wis). Even the red ones were easily killed this way. I couldn't think of anything that i would use Faerie faction so i stayed there and hunted them down.
they do drop lots of rusty items with occasional fine steel rapier
they do drop LOTS of gems so easy to make money
they Are very much worth the effort to a lvl 20 dru that wants to learn to kite becouse since there arn't too many of the higher lvl ones around you don't have to worry about a crapload aggroing on you. and also there isn't anything else that will attack you becouse your much bigger than all of the wandering orc pawn.(just uses HIDE option while medding)

This item is used for the wand quest used by wizards. Items for that quest are Silver Wand off Silvered guard in CT; BloodBlack wand off Greater Skelys in Rathe Mtns; Twice-Woven Silk off Faerie Guards in LFay and Scepter of Tears in MM. I seek the silk and everything is conning green to me at lvl 27 Dark Elf Wizardress except for Gearheart and the guards. I want to do this as little as possible so I'm still scoping out the camp. One thing I have noticed is how vacant this zone seems. I just find that interesting. mmmmm

Location of Fairy Village in Lesser Fay is pos 1200, pos 3600. They conned blue to me at 26. I tried pulling one and had about 10 fairies on me. Now I live with the shame of being killed by fairies!

If you circle around to the side of the camp opposite the zone wall, there's a tree up on a hill on the edge of their camp with a faery guard that spawns near it. This guard's a bit further away from the others. Target it, move back a bit, and pull with a DD. She'll come running w/o aggroing ANY other faerys, altho Gearheart will definitely come. So as long as you can take one guard and Gearheart. Just keep pulling her as she spawns until you get the cloak. Was no prob there using that tactic. :)

Woot it worked.. only thing I did different was I started killing all of the maidens..well my pet did. Gearheart attacked after I got to close but he was simple.. the first guard that I attacked dropped the cloak and the power of earth..woot double wammy =)

On Fennin Ro, the undead stuff has taken over Lfay. Red sky, undead unicorns/sprites/etc.
It's beacause of a GM event - Firona needed to see tunare, Cazic came, corrupted Lfay

I was there tonight and saw the sprites. There has to be a pattern for this. If anyone has any information would appreciate it. I need to speak to her to get the dust for my raincaller quest. BTW one of these sprites was a necro. Cast fear and harm touched me for 175. I survived though. Thank you SoW. he he

I was just out in Lfay to grab one and the sky is red and there are undead sprites hanging with gearhart, there was an evena coupl days ago to make another kithicor /sigh havn't seen it in daylight yet patch came up so I had to leave after the they all came to kill me /shrug now what do i do about the cloak I want my robe

I looted a power of earth from one of these guys. It has no stats, so I assume for a quest. If anyone knows what it is for please post here =)

Power of Earth is needed to complete the Mage epic quest. It also drops off an undead faerie sprite.

These guard's con blue to me at lvl 35, only reason why I know is that one of the easy victims for my soil of underfoot quest got away and brought a couple of these back with her. I had difficulty killing, and ended up rooting and falling back so I could finish one off and focusing on the other. If you get 2 of these and gearheart on you, I advise you to run as quickly as you can to either MM or Gfay zone (if your lucky enough to make it that far)

I had to kill some of these to get Power of Earth for part of the intro to my epic. While doing so I got the twice woven cloak. I also got one other drop before my item for epic, twice woven silk. If anyone knows what its for I'd be curious to find out.
