Dropped from a Ry'Gorr miner in Crystal Caverns yesterday (5 Dec 04). Fairly rare, as I've cleared the entire orc encampment several times and only gotten 1 Words of Possession.
Words of Detachment are a bit more common, picked up 3 of them in about half a dozen clears.

One thing that bugs me about this site is the spell research items: Words, pages, and runes. For the below lv50 spells, no Mob is guaranteed to drop any particular word.
I'm not sure, but I think the level limit is 4. That is, a research item for a lv16 spell can drop from any mob lv12-20. If it can have loot, then in its loot table there will be research items.
A vendor has these itmes because someone has SOLD them. I've seen a player trying to sell these items, in the bazaar, for 500pp each! The spell it makes make sell for only 10pp, but some bozos want 500 for 1 of 3 words!

Actually, I've heard the level limit being 5 levels up from the level of the spell and I've seen idiots sell these particular words as high as 1kpp in the bazaar. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever other than plain ordinary greed to put prices that high on these words.

I found 2 of these one day. They dropped off gorge hounds in East Karana.
Bought from Amile Pitt in PoK, shes close to Dogle her Banker hubby.
