I have looted (killed) two of these now and I received a jade shard, and a no drop item called Skeletal Hand. Magic Item Lore Item No Trade WT 0.6 Size: Small Class: None Race: None.
Ok People I Went There With My lvl 24 Necro and My Lovely Lvl 20 Pet I Owned These Guys And It Didnt Matter If The Were Red,Yellow,White,Blue or Even Pink. Now On The Other Hand Words Of Allure Why Cant I Find Them I Was Spawn Camping Them For 2 - 4 Hours And They Hardly Dropped Anything But BoneChips,Heart Of Ice and Skelital Fist.
Do these guys have a specific spot in zone? I swear I've run around the Lake twice now and haven't seen any! Looking for Words of Dimension for my pet spells. Thanks!
I had an icebone add while I was medding. It conned dark blue, so I figured, what the heck? I had 2 mana from medding, ended up uisng one on it with Ward Undead and melee. I got out of it with 4 bubs of health, then a charbone aggroed on me. Figured it would be the same. Nope, I had to use lay hands and when I got it to 1/5 health every one of its attacks was a double for 50 or so. Plus it kicks. If you haave any trouble with icebones, leave these guys alone!
I sure do love these little guys they are so sweet, im lvl 24 cleric and with my new undead dd spell (hits em for 140smg) I can solo these things now. sure they con red but im a brave cleric. hehe if I kill 30 of these DING lvl 25. not too bad! they give me 1 blue bub per kill and it only takes about 5-10 casts to kill them. if any of you do this be sure to have sow. nuke run nuke run nuke and sometimes you get smacked but they are good loot and exp! :) all be carefull with these if you try this!
AS an enchanter, often one of the last escape routes, is to make your foe your PET. This has saved my group in many occasions, even if chamr will hold only for a short minute.. it's time to med up, heal and get things organized and prepared... Beware fellow enchanters.. You can charm a Sarnak dragoon, but not this guy.. He is above the level cap for charm..be warned. maybe I could have used mem-blur.. hmm...

these critters hit hard, and have high resistances stay away from fire (duh) and lightin attacks magic attacks dont work so well either while these hit hard they dont hit as hard as the grimalkins in the loio area, one thing that takes theese down quick are ice spells "of course" there are common MoB's with common charasitcs, i've herd stuff that they spawn with buffs on them, but i've had no reason to really beleave that it is true i've used cancel magic and really havent noticed much of a diffrence, rember keep away from magic fire and lightin attacks with theese and let the tanks take em down unless you have ice spells.
One day, while I was really needing a smoke in lake, it occured to me that I had no lighter. So here I was, sittin at the mill, thinking of how to rectify my situation and my salvation decided to run up and pimp slap me! So I think to myself, hmmm, Charbone=Fire? Well, I whipped out my Pack O' Kamels and swiped one right off his forehead! The cig sparked and the poor boy looked confused...so I brought my sword down upon his boney cranium! You cant be confused if your laying in a pile of bones on the ground...
These thing are mean very mean they hit for 50 but 30-45 on average. One killed me with my pet. I am lvl 28 and every thing cons blue it appears quit formidable witch is SOO gay even 21 con it for some reason. So any way be on guard when you attack one.
These guys resist everything. I cant say for sure, but I think their magic reistance is not an inherent resistance but a buff they have on. I was hunting them in a group and when we noticed the magic resist, we had a group member cast Tashiani on them several times (which lowers a mob's inherent magic resistance)and I cast a necro scent spell that reduces resistance and there was no change. The skelly resisted everything.
Next time around I cast Cancel Magic which debuffs the mob and the spells started to take hold. So long story short, I think their resistance is a buff, so you must use spells that debuff, not spells that lower a creature's own inherent resistance to magic.
these guys are tough. The thing is that they are buffed. Cast a snare or a DoT on these guys. You will have to hit them with cancel Magic 2 to 4 times before you wear off what eveer it was you casted on them. typicaly, I hit them 3 times with cancel magic and they drop like bear cubs after that.
DUH !!!him and his war boned n iceboned collegues are same lvl(all blue or black at 23)only loot isen t same heart of ice, skelie fist, hand, bone chips, various swords n skulls(at pillars)
I can solo these guys at lvl 21 without a problem, i don't know what u guys are talking about their resistance being high, i hardly ever have my spells resisted. They do hit hard tho, i am a druid and can't last 20 sec hand to hand with these guys.
I usually burn all my mana to ignite the guy first, when he is down to almost half HP's I enter melee. With Crystalline Blade and Silvery War Axe I usually hit this fellow 22's and 13's. Even at LVL 26 I cant take it granded that I would win... I'd rather soloed giants at WW zone - they usually hit for less. Ofcourse, rangers were never ment to kill mobs.
I would have to agree with Elayene on the toughness of these MOB's. I am currently a level 23 Necro and these MOB's (usually con yellow) resist a lot of the spells. Including Spook the Dead. BTW, for those of you who do not play Necro's, Yellow con'ing MOB's are not usually a problem for Necro's to take down.
I have had Charbone's con red to me at level 23 so that makes the maximum level at least 26. And according to Thyber/Gaelyna's posts it should be level 27 for the Level max.
