These guys dropped Medium Gear #1, Medium Gear #2, Medium Gear #3, and the Medium Reinforced Rod for the Watch Quest. They can be found crawling all over inside the Crystal Cavern.

Confirmed that Large Brick of Velium does drop from these mobs. It does seem to be rarer then the other velium types he drops.

I have gotten both a jade (though more gems probably drop) and a mithril earring.
Is there a particular area within Crystal Caverns - Ry'Gorr Miner area that the Sm Velium Piece drops more frequently than others? Also same for the Small Velium Bricks? (If I have to I can make the pieces from the bricks)

Should check out FV for prices on Sm Piece of Velium and Sm Brick of Velium and Brick of Velium in the Bazaar -- hang on to them and sell them hehehe - prices flux too much for me to quote and will be a nice surprise so won't tell you what I sold them for . . .
Thuragin (sp) Gate Potion is valuable in FV so if you can make it - sell it. (non-caster classes canno get outa some places without help less they have one in stock) ie, Colbalt Scar.

I noticed a strange thing tonight after the patch. The orcs give BAD Frostone faction when killed both outside in the fort and in CC. I hope this is an error.

I just got something the other night from a miner. It is called a "Shimmering Velium Ruby". I can't find any information on any database regarding its purpose. It is All/All and weighs .1, but no other flags or info.

It has been my experience that these mobs have almost exaclty 1000hp. /shrug Just thought I'd toss that info out, as it may benefit somebody, somewhere.

I was soloing these guys outside the Coldain Town and one dropped 'Bottle of Karsin Acid' that was Magic, Lore, & No Drop. Never seen that before and couldn't find any informaition on it.

The range slot item you all are talking about is a Klezendian Crystal. Just looted it an hour ago. The only bad thing about this is you can't use ranged weapons (see ya shruikens) unless you let someone else pull. But since I'm soloing I think using a shruiken to pull and not getting hit is much better than taking about 200 damage pulling with him right on your tail. So ONLY use this if you're NOT pulling.
You can easily make a hotkey that allows you to switch out the Crystal with a shuriken, in order to pull, then switch back to the Crystal when you get to your pull spot. When I was soloing with a low level rogue I made several different hotkey pads that allowed switching out piercers with 1hs in order to get better weapon damage in between backstabs. Just thought you might want to look into this.

The small pieces of velium and small bricks of velium can be sold to tailors as well as people makeing thurg gate potions. Currently on the torv server the small pieces go for 100 to 200pp per stack, and the small bricks are similarly priced. Also, you sometimes get a large brick of velium. This has no known use as far as I know, but can be sold to merchants for about 10pp with good cha.

These guys drop a Crystal globe that adds +15 to the HP's. I am not sure what it's called, and I can't remember the exact stats. Though I know it's No Drop which kinda sucks.

The "Brick of Velium" and "Piece of Velium" dropped off the Orcs are for the Thurgadin gate potion.

Do the bricks of velium and pieces of velium drop off of any orcs? I didn't go to CC until these guys were all green, and headed to hunt the stalags and geos. All of the brick and pieces I have I picked up on a skyshrine raid. I do need to farm now so any info would help alot please. I'm not familiar with the orcs too much.

Small pieces of velium are also used to make velium studs for Velious tailoring. It takes 6 pieces to make two studs, and costs about 100pp

It does go in the range slot. Also it is +10 hit points not +15. It does weigh zero though. :)

These guys also drop small velium bricks (worth a lil over 2pp each) as well as small velium peices
