This was a fairly straight forward cycle. I zoned in and began clearing all roaming mobs. Once the first named spawned, Old Dimshimmer, it then just cycled through each name by continuing to kill all trash. Perhaps it was good luck on RNG or it might be a cycle. I went Old Dimshimmer, Queen Nasheeji, Mina Glimmerwing, Crookstinger, and finally Whimsy Larktwitter. I never got a duplicate. Achievement completed in less than 2 hours at 65 just slaughtering roaming named. Having track is basically an essential on this one.

Larktwitter Arrow is by far her common. I have a stack of 30+ in the bank, and in that time span have looted 2 LarkTwitter Bows, 1 Arrow of Fire, and 1 Arrow of Lightning.

Just have to laugh here.. I was out in Lfay helping a female friend of mine kill brownies so she could make her wedding cake ( eww brownie parts in a wedding cake. .YUCK ).. Anyway I got bored killing all the pixies to get brownies to spawn and went off to see if I could get killed by Equestrielle the Corrupted when lo and behold " Whimsy Larktwitter Backstabs you for 35 points of Damage" .. I spun around and dropped a root on her then chain cast 3 or 4 Frost Shock.. and looted her bow. I guess I was lucky..

I'm not bragging or claiming to be anything other than what I am, a humble Lvl 28 Wiz.. and yes she was easy ( DUH !! )

Just wanted to share hte whimsical story.

Last night on the way to MM for a guild camp, I spotted her on tracking. She was just NE of the Fae ring. She was very green (of course) but did /con KOS to me, so I killed her. Looted the arrow, and thought little of it.

Then, on my way out of MM a few hours later, saw her on track again (same general area, NE of the Fae ring). Killed her again, and was pleased to see her bow drop.

I'm guessing that Rangers won't use the bow, since the Trueshot is clearly superior. But for the other bow classes, it's darn nice for the level of the MoB.

Wrong-o! Even though I just managed to make a shaped ashwood silk bow way below trivial, I am now searching for Larktwitter to get this bow because I have tried to do the Trueshot and haven't even come close to making it yet. The Larktwitter bow has a better damage/delay ratio than my bow and many of the possible oak bow combines and is a heck of a lot easier to get if your fletching isn't quite up to oak levels yet. The range is inferior to oak, but I don't try to take down mobs from half a zone away with arrows, so range isn't a concern for me at the moment.

After 3 days of being pounded on by Equestrielle and the brownies, I decided to give up on this one and just buy a Trueshot. Does Whimsy even spawn anymore? You would think in 3 days she would pop at least once.

I read about Whimsy while looking for the ever elusive Thistle Underbrush. Birds of a feather really do flock together, as she wasn't far from the pixie encampment. Dropped the bow and only that- no arrows at all. It was the one time I've seen her during the week I've spent around the pixie tower, farming pixie dust for delicious Pixie Cinnesticks.

I was passing sister camp when I saw her on track nearby. I tracked her down and killed her really easy..she drop only 1 LarkTwitter Arrow and 32gp 68cp for me :/ No fraction hits at all.

She does not have any faction hits.

Spawned several times for me (3 to be exact) in a hour and half time period.

Dropped the arrow all 3 times for me.

Seems to spawn in the N/NW area and then roams in a SE direction.

Just a thought =)

I first killed her at lvl 15 with my ranger, she conned yellow and started fighting me so I killed her and looted the bow, I did some asking around and nobody I talked to knew about the bow, its rare on my server, even had an offer of 1000pp from some guy that wanted it. I came back later at lvl 18 and she conned red to me, I would always con her if you see her, but she usually agros to everything in sight so unless you have a pretty decent lvl I would avoid her. At lvl 20 a ranger should be able to solo her no problem, I have gone back many a times and killed her, she hasnt dropped her bow again for me, but i have 16 of her fine arrows =).

She's probably got a large level range, cause she was a blue con to me at 20. No faction hit with killing her, although she's a Pixie, not a faerie, which is why she probably attacked even though faerie faction was good. She dropped the bow but its the first time I'd seen her ever, no clue as to its rarity.

What are the faction hits, if any, for killing Whimsy? I try to avoid negative faction with the Faerie since there isn't any way to build it back up. You never know when the EQ masters will plug something in that requires it.

Whimsy is a pixie not a faerie(at least she looks like a pixie), so if there are any faction hits I would have to guess that they would be on the Pixie faction.

My Trueshot Bow was given to me by my Guild Elders.. but this is my first Magic Bow.. I know it's not as nice, but it's just kinda cool.

Tracked her from the Faerie Village.. wasn't much of a challenge at all.

I was in the NE side of LFay near the GFay zone killing everything trying to get Thistle Underbrush to spawn. Saw her on track and decided to check her out. She attacked me (guess my faction was bad) even though I am level 45. I got the bow. Only got her to spawn once in about 4 hours. Perhaps I was in the wrong area though. She was wandering when I found her.

Was near the sisters camp just setting them up to start pulling and she backstabbed me was lucky to get a gate off at lvl 12

Whimsy was green to my 25 druid.

Stats are 14 damage, 42 delay, range 100 and magical. I forget the weight.

Where does she spawn and how often . Does she drop the bow often or is it something along the lines of when one goes to get the Shiny Brass sheild or rarer?

Well in my Rangers younger days I spent alot of time in Lesser. Saw her spawn alot. Most of the time she dropped the Larkwitter Arrow but I've looted the bow of her twice. Its a pretty good bow for non ranger classes but I got to go get me a raincaller:)

Hmmm...killed her one time and got the bow...she seems to be a fairly rare spawn. I'm always on the track lookout in this zone, ive killed thistle about 20 times in 2-3 days, but have only seen Larktwitter once.
