Try sitting at -279, 1074 and killing everything you see roaming.

This Achievement is Pretty straight forward. Kill all the roamers and wait for the rares to spawn. As a human ranger I was not wild about the faction hits I would take killing the Faries so at first I just ignored them. After a while however the farie population started to take up a significant percentage of the roaming mobs in the zone, so I had to bring in a guild mate who didn't care about Farie Faction to do the dirty work for me. Probably needles due to the fact that the modern gear has rendered the classic gear obsolete, but never the less I might still want to do those quests.
Anyway The Achievement took me a total of 24 hours to complete. I just frolicked through the woods killing anything that roamed and one of the Named Rare creatures would spawn about every 1 to 3 hours. I saw Queen Nasheeji and Whimsy Larktwitter repeatedly but all the others only once. Old Dimshimmer was the last to spawn after 24 hours of woodland murder. I found him in the south-east portion of the zone near the orc camp but I feel like his spawn point is probably random just like all the others.

I have been in Lfay for the past week. I started out killing anything and everything that was not a humanoid. I got Crookstinger, Mina, Queen and Whimsy to spawn several times each. I have yet to see Old Dimshimmer. I decided to just sit in zone for a while and I noticed many of the Elvish NPCs attack mobs. Sometimes they win, sometimes they don't. It messes up track a bit. Eventually - the same 4 names popped just by me sitting in zone and doing nothing. When I killed the names, after about 2-1/2 minutes a new mob would appear on track. They were always a skeleton, a wasp soldier, a giant spider or a mist wolf. So I started killing only those mobs. When track was clear of those, I would just let the zone alone for a few hours. Eventually more would spawn as the npcs killed trash. Between my killing and the NPC killing, again I had the same 4 named pop. I am starting to think I need to kill the fae drakes. Due to faction issues, I have avoided that. Maybe I will make a low level throw-away toon.
Yeh I hate sometimes how the hunter achievement forces you to kill good and evil mobs to get stuff to spawn. I basically gave up the faction fight in order to get hunter done, but one zone I made sure to bring in my evil toon to do the killing was Wakening Land...pain in the *** to get those done with a good character alone.
