I was hunting brownies today and saw this punk... He conned red at lv 23, but I was buffed to the gills (HoS, etc.) and figured I could have a little fun. Basically I just fear-kited him for 3 and a half minutes. He only resisted my Fear spell once, which is when he managed to do about 8 damage and cast Malaise on me. lol. I guess my SK is aptly surnamed -- Belegur Puppyslayer. See ya in game!

This guy didnt put up much of a fight for his level, I was a lvl 25 Enchanter at the time i killed him, he coned yellow, so i thought, i might have to run, so i got a sow, buffed my sh*ty *ss pet and myself, then took him out. He got my pet but then I just stuned him and nuked him dead. Droped some scroll, so now i think ill run that quest its for.

i think the level range on this guy is wrong.. he is still conning blue to me at level 33 and i think he's a bit of an under con. He IS a shammy and a very nasty one to fight on top of it. Considering they "balanced" the npc casters... this guy is still a "fun" fight. I have a ranger so it's a little harder for me to tank something to death. i killed him the 1st time and had half life left. He droped the scroll and a fs hammer. 2ed time just the scroll. 3rd he jumped me, before i even knew it he canceled out almost all my buffs and hit me with walking sleep and a dot or two. the only one of my buffs i had left was my sow. good thing i was able to run (his root didn't stick) he is a very nasty fight if your not careful. if you have any way to interupt his casting then it will be much easier but somehow i can hit a mob for almost 100 points while there casting and it doesn't interupt them at all. but they hit me for 5 and i get interupted!?!?

This guy is for the odd cold iron necklace quest. You need to kill him and get the encrypted scroll. Here is the basic rundown of the quest (that I know so far):

Kill the High Shaman in Warrens and get odd cold iron necklace.

Take this to the erudin cleric guild (the one right by the teleporter to the palace). There is a woman in there who will tell you to take it and a note to glyssa sonshaw in FP.

Go to FP and give the necklace and a note to glyssa. She tells you she doesn't know much about it but knows a kobold in Akanon who does. Off to Akanon.

In the bar (near the zoo) there is a kobold who is sitting there. Give him the note and the necklace and he will tell you about the medallion and its meaning. Says he really doesn't know much about it though. He does have a glyph translator that he gives you. He tells you to take it and to get the doctrine of the kobold missionary to the original lady back in Erudin. He also tells you that the missionary is in steamfont.

This is where I am stuck. Have not seen the missionary and I sat in Steamfont for hours. Hoping to go back and see him before he gets killed by the guards. I think this will wrap up the quest. Not sure what you get.

I was killing the various baddies over by the mino caves with my Dwarven Pally today (2/2/2001). This guy pops and cons red and scowling, so I try to steer clear. A couple of pulls later he aggros me from nowhere. Hit me with drowsy, a low level shaman slow spell. Needless to say I aborted the pull and made for the guards by the WMs. I forget the name of the guard, but the one that stands up the hill a bit DID assist me and take the beast out. So I guess the guards should take care of you now if you get unlucky and pull this thing.

i think the kobald in akonon probably has something to do with it

Thanks for the infor regarding the scroll. I'm headed for the Warrens ASAP. Will update if I learn anything new.

I hate this overgrown dog, hes attacked me while I was being whomped by 5 mino slavers!!! What is a little lvl 13 Rogue gonna do bout that? Cmon sombody needs to tear him one so hard his future spawns are gonna feel it!

Hi all just wanted to post a little note on this fella. I was in steam today hunting clockworks for my trueshot quest. I was near the mines when low and behold who do I see? Ah yes the missionary. Well i have had problems with this fellow before. I was camping steam with my low lvl mage and he would come running by and whack dead I be. Well fear not my friends for I have come back a lvl 36 Ranger(hehehe). I was full health 20 mana at the time and he was green to me. So i figured ah a perfect time for some revenge for all my slain friends of fadwayre. I proceded to kick the snot out of said mob. I started with a nice root, then proceded to snare him. Then I busted out with the melee. I being a Ranger,duel weild a yak and icetooth claws. So after a 26 damage 26 damage 13 damage 23 damage You have taken 2 points of damage Hit him for 26 damage 26 damage 13 damage 23 damage, He fell victim to my blade. Never losing more then 1 half of a bubble. Was quite satisfying if I do say so myself. So don't fret my friends there is payback for nasty mobs like this. I did see the scroll and let a lower lvl loot it having no idea what it was for. Hope u all get a kick out of this little story.

Well, He appears to spawn every night. When I was hunting minos and Harpy's with my husband he noticed that he appeared to spawn around 8-9pm every night and sure enough, every night we got up on the hill to med and heard cries "Missionary is out!"
