| Upon traveling through Highpass Hold and west through the edge of the Serpent's Spine Mountains, one will eventually reach the Blightfire Moors, a large open area full of wildlife, plants, and rolling plains.
With their city, Crescent Reach, built in the cliff face of a nearby hollow, the Drakkin have set up several outposts as they scout and travel the region. And while the Mucktail gnolls mine the caves to the south, bixies and wasps work in their fields in the southeast, just outside of their hive. In the northern area of the Moors is a thick marsh, home to many rotting treants and shrubs, undead giants, and Agatha, the Grey Witch herself. Captain Bloodmoon commands his skeletal troops as they patrol the northwestern region and oversee the hills of Goru`kar Mesa. East of these undead creatures is a passage through the hills, relatively safe for travelers passing through. |

Its for Night of the Dead yearly Halloween quests - The Rot's Sporali is the name of it

Is there some special event going on? Popped into zone and found lizards, rabbits, clockworks and drunks running around.
Its just part of Frostfell/New years quests. If you look up the mob it should link to the quests.
2019 still no map of Blightfire Moors. Someone please prove me wrong..

Brewell's Map Pack ... excellent coverage
Both Brewells map packs (http://www.eqmaps.info) and Goods map packs have complete Moor maps in them. Perhaps you need to change the level or other keys on the right side of the map screen? Or even download one of those map packs?
The mob 'greater undead rat' is summoned by Defan the Watch Captain.

Loc for POK book in Blightfire Moores is is -1210, 3352. Near the Crescent Reach Zoneline.

Would seem they put the Knowledge book on the Crescent Reach side of the zone, near the snakes.
Where in the world and what in the world are the relics to be found by the tower ruins?

A recent change has the mobs in Blightfire /con to a higher color than they did before. patch around July 20, 2008.
As an example.
The rotwood saplings used to /con white or yellow to my 18th lev characters. They now /con red.

ok for those with charm animal, here's a way to get crazy xp through your 30s.
you will need:
- decent hp/ac
- skinspikes
do this:
- charm silverfur rat
- order it to attack another rat
- tank the rat while your pet rips it apart (silverfurs are rogues and backstab)
- rinse and repeat ad nauseum
i kid you not, i've had lesson of the devoted on for 15 minutes and ive gone two from 35 to 38.

Well it's kind of a bummer now that this zone is a hot zone, there are so many nice quests to do here for nice stuff too, weight reducing bag, nice weapons for mid level players, augs, charms.
Was kind of proud that most of my toons had loot from this zone, and not many others did...now everyone and his brothers-sisters-boyfriends-neighbors-paperboy will have em.

The PoK Book is at -600, -1350
I cannot, for the life of me, collect the golden and striped jumjum for the task "Bixie Jumjum". I have been told you get them from the buckets in the jumjum field, but I cannot target them (with click, U, or F-buttons), although sometimes, from a distance, I can get a "get closer" message.
I have tried everything I can think of, and I have nothing to show for it. Any help?

In the garden, go to the buckets that have the different colored jumjum in them and and click on them - seems the only time I could do this is after I finised everything else to do on the list. Some may not give you anything, had to wait for buckets to re-pop.(just tried again this AM and could not loot them). Anyway, after finising this quest Scout Ethaniel will give you another quest:

Bixie: Thrall
1)Find entrance to Bixie farm - quest updated when you enter farm area (-730,-2000)
2)Enter Farmhouse - quest updated when you enter house (-1655,-2940)
3)Find some Haze Powder - Found on The Farm Alchemist right inside entrance of farm house
4)Return Haze Powder to Alchemist Mavin in Cresent Reach
(once you give Mavin the Haze powder,you get back 6 doses of Anidote)
5)Free the Thrall and escort them back to camp - as you give an antidote to each Thrall a Stone Hive Warrior or Slaver pops and attacks either the Thrall or you whichever is closer ** this is the only mob that will attack your Thrall**
There is one Thrall in the other building loc -1480,-2200 give antidote, kill mob then head over to scout camp and wait for it to arrive - then wait for re-pop or there are four more in the farm house - if able you can give all four antidote kill all mob pops and adds, then wait for them all at scout camp. You must be there to get credit at the same time or before they arrive. I did 2 at a time from farm house np for 36 wizzy.

When I first entered with my 28 ranger, I found that the XP rose farily quickly, similar to how fast in Paludal Caverns and that my archery (which I had sorely neglected) rose fairly quickly as well......My thoughts this is an awesome zone, but watch out for the snakes, their poison really hurts, lol
The Ticking Crocodile: Yellow to 22 and KoS, doesn't see through hide sneak, about same as rest of the croc type mobs as far as difficulty. Upon death he spawned Ratwork Model VIII. Indif. darkblue to 22.

The ratwork VIII model is for a quest from the guy in the camp with all the rats around him.

when does she give you a trap? i can't finish this quest b/c of that trap. I tried handing the pelts in, 'I don't need these Ktorsa, you may have them back' it's like but u ASKED for them!! lol
Go out to where the Slashclaws are and click on a cub and it will trap the cub. Then go back and talk to her.
Downloaded maps - this one not included. Went back and did this one by itself and it is there. Try it again.
Downloaded map from Mapfiend, restart EQ, still no map! Map busted?
My error was downloading while I had EQ running, and I had loaded the empty map. When I closed EQ to restart, it wrote the empty map over the newly downloaded one!

I found some shelly castel in the north i was 66, and mobs still jumped on me. they seem to be around levl 30 or 40. the nameds craps 3 stones a pieces. some quest i take it.

When you zone in from the POK book, just mark it on your map and save map. Apologies, I thought I wrote down /loc but did not.
Can find zone in to Stone Hive at -465, -3405.
Everything conned grey to my 63, but note that they were all scowling at me. The Southern Moor Walkers summon.
