This is the final task in a series of six. The tasks must be completed in order, and may be repeated after completion.
Upon completing the previous task, speak with Akins: You say, 'Hail, Akins' Akins says 'Now that we know that the giants have something to do with the area, I feel we are getting closer to [solving] this mystery, friend!' You say, 'Solving the mystery?' Akins says 'Thankfully my knowledge for spirits shall come in handy. Here is a [wand] that can help us get to the bottom of this. It can compel the dead to speak, to tell their tale. With this, you should be able to find out just what happened.' You have been assigned the task 'The Everburning'. You say, 'What wand?' Akins says 'Yes, you need to know, however, that the wand will need to be [attuned] to the magical properties of the area before it can take affect upon those that linger there. I suggest taking the wand to that mysterious fire and trying to attune it that way.' You say, 'Attuned?' Akins says 'Once attuned properly, the wand should be able to compel a spirit to talk to you. Unfortunately there is a [slight problem] with the power of the wand.' You say, 'What slight problem?' Akins says 'Yes, the power of the wand is not strong enough on its own to overpower the madness that controls most spirits. You will have to weaken the spirits of the giants somehow. Furthermore, the wand will not work on just any spirit. So you will need to find the right one by pure luck. . .which I am sure you have plenty of! So fear not.' Head back to the crater in Blightfire Moors, and the task should update. The spirit wand begins to glow. Now that the Spirit Wand is attuned you will need to find a zombie giant that the Spirit Wand will work on. You do this by fighting down any zombie giant you find to around 20% and under then click the wand to see if the mob will talk to you. Pull them into the crater to ensure they talk to you. a blightfire never rest says 'Who seeksss to [disturb] usss?' You say, 'I disturb you' a blightfire never rest says 'We. . .who have fallen from grace. . .we who must [atone] for our sinsss against our [lord].' You say, 'Atone?' a blightfire never rest says 'Bound to wretched area are we. . .trapped between the living and the dead are we. Never to rest. . .never to die. . .never to find peace. You say, 'Your lord?' a blightfire never rest says 'Rallosss. . .it was he that we disobeyed. . .it was hisss call to battle that we did not harken to. . .it was he that punished us so. Now we wander. . .till he forgivesss usss.' Return to Akins and hail him. You say, 'Hail, Akins' Your task 'The Everburning' has been updated. You tell Akins the story that the spirit repeated back to you and it seems to relieve you of some sort of heavy burden, as if by repeating the story, you have somehow lightened the heavy penance the spirit was carrying by relaying his tale. Akins thanks you for uncovering the mystery of that area but warns you to never return lest Rallos turn his attention towards you.
