Hope this helps someone , I looted a black marble off a swordfish while tryin ta get tooth fer 7th shawl. think 2 or 3 dropped actually, This is since the revamp of SG.
Confirmed, I looted one off of "a swordfish" in Siren's Grotto a few minutes ago.
Bought two more out of the bazaar, had the tunic out of Kael, and did the turn in for the druid BP. Then did the turn in for the Grand Robe of the Oracle! So thank you for the info monkeyflea!

Ok I've looked all over so many websites and they cant answer me these simple questions, are the unadorned armor peices NO DROP or not? And who SPECIFICALLY in TOV do they drop off of?

Everything drops by various mobs randomly in West Wing of ToV (HoT = Halls of Testing). So if you realized that sometimes also you see drops coming in waves one after the other. That mean VI implemented a random drop rate in ToV. Yes all Unadorned pieces are no-drop. Look Alla Khazam's under Quests - By Zone - Skyshrine. You got them all there. Remember as well that this kind of gear can be also MQ and that the minimum required faction is Ally to CoV.

Well i read all of the posts about this so far and a couple of people still keep asking about whether to get crushed or chipped. PLEASE read beaons post called newB's it is very useful. If you still don't get it by reading beaon's post, that explains everything u need to know about the black marbles, then don't bother doing the quest if u can't understand it even when the answers are given to you right here.

ok ok i see it celars one thing but i have one thing u didnt mention.. when the guy asks for 3 piieces of balck marble.. (for the duird bp) is it (3) pieces of black barble or is it just three black marbles?

we usually get a couple black marbles every time we kill the chetari rats in dragon necropolis. seen a few drop in SG deep inside, but i think dragon necropolis is a lot more fun with 1-2 groups and has better multi-class loot than SG.
black marbles have really come down in market price too. they used to be around 8k a pop, but noy you can usually get 3 of them for around 7k altogether.

I may be reading the order of these wrong here.
Someone posted at the top saying black marbles dropped everyewhere including specs in Oasis.
These are "A Black Pearl".
You are not after "A black marble" as in a child's toy.
You are after "Black Marble" as in a piece of a rock type - specifically marble which is black in colour.
If I have the order messed up (and the top is not the most recent, but rather the earliest). Then feel free to ignore this post.

Well, after weeks of searching, I've seen 1 drop off of a Crystal Destroyer in Velks - our group killed 3 of these badasses with many a casualty ourselves.
1 down.. 2 to go :( I have the Kael dropped tunic for my druid - and I'm getting mighty restless.

I have been camping the GEO's in the Crystal Caverns for over a week. Have NOT see any CRUSHED anything. All I have seen is Chipped. Great cash for the chipped Diamond,Saph,Ruby,Emeral Etc but nothing that portrains to the quest items. Geos maybe in the WL like the level 45 plus Shammy ones but I personally have NOT seen any quest gems in CC.
correct geonids in CC drop only chipped gems, a few are usuable for tradeskills (they are not general standard items as listed on eqtraders but i've found something on this site) but most are not; yet they generate nice amounts of money when sold to vendors. (Get some opal crusted steins they are worth the money if you camp geonids and sell to vendors)
In WL the geonids drop imperfect crushed etc. etc. But those geos are a pain 8k hp and high FR CR so basically dotting them down with Magic based spells is all this dru can do. Or taking a warrior and let him beat up the geonids with a journeyman's walkingstick (tashani effect on it) Or take your personal chanter with you for clarity and tashani.
Some of the gems in WL are also used for quests very easy to recognise these since they are no drop. Downside is that they require some jewelry skills for those quests.

different poster here, but to let readers know the place, it is geonids in wakening lands, in cave to left of druid ring. (with back to wall, opposite direc of kael) hope this helps

I hate it people call it a druid ring when it's a port for wizards also. My server calls them Dragon Rings. BTW, I'm a druid.

Okay, this page is for the black Marble. They are used in many many quests. So the item you say you need but someone says they need diff one...well you are all right. We are not talking about one peticular quest here people. This is used in all of them. So stop ******** that someone else is wrong when they arent.

found black marble on rat men in Dragon Necropolis. Don't bother trying to go to DN without a full group of 57+ minimum. This Isnt Guk.

Black marble is needed for the Thurgadin, Kael, and Skyshrine quest armor. It requires corroded armor (Thurgadin), ancient tarnished (Kael), and erroded (Skyshrine). I don't know why Ancient tarnished BP or Corroded is being posted here, this should be about the black marble.
Anyway, ancient tarnished armor drops in Temple of Veeshan. Corroded drops in Kael at the arena. Black marble drops in Dragon Necropolis from rats, Sirens Grotto from siren seductress, and Velketors Labyrinth from Velk and Dolkin area.

Let me understand this: There is "crushed black marble," "piece of black marble," and "chipped black marble." There is "ancient tarnished BP" and "corroded BP". Someone is sure to ***** this quest up.
The way i see it, the corroded is for the quests in Thurgadin and the ancient tarnished is used in the quests at Kael. As far as the marble, I am still uncertain. But i would like to know where the ancient tarnished BP was or is found.

if you ***** this quest up then you need to go back to newbie 101, cause anybody with the ability to attain these items aught to be smart enough to make SURE that they are doing the right thing before even thinking of turning these items in... however, just like a how warnings got put on labels, someone must have done it.

lol, while i didnt post the previous posts, i did happen to understand them. the "ancient tarnished" should have been "ancient, or tarnished." punctuation helps a lot here to avoid confusion. The ancient is leather armor for druid and monk, the tarnished is for diff class. (sorry im druid, dunno what the heck class tarnished for and wont guess, less i get flamed, hehe) They both are for Kael quest armor, and drops in Temple of Veeshan of any mob, tho all the mob may/may not drop any kind of quest piece, being silk, plate, chain, and leather. west wing dragons tend to drop more than one piece (up to 8, according to guildie) tho my guild pulled 2 by accident and got wiped, tho luckily 2 cleric camped in time to do CR. (35 ppl, 52-60 lvl range, mostly 58-60) Aoe's were rain type spell, 200dmg then 300dmg, and proc'ed very often. and funny enough, these were the smaller dragons from that wing. good night tho. got 28 pieces of armor, 6hrs hunt, excluding guild gathering, and CR. hope this post help. (i know not about black marble, but see lotta armor related question here)

Ok. The BP that drops in KAEL for questing to the guy in THURGADIN is a corroded bp.
You need black marble. Not crushed, not chipped, smashed sliced or diced. Just plain black marble. 3 of them. 8) They dropp off of 50+ mobs in Velketor's Labyrinth or in Dragon Necropolis.
I have had my corroded bp for several weeks now, and after a couple of guild hunts, still no sign of black marble. It's *hard* to get because this Bp rocks.
Just FYI. Check out EQ-Cleric, people post about this stuff all the time. 8)

All Corrodded/Erroded armor drops in Kael Drakkal near the arena area. Highest drop rates were off of the Veterans, each time we killed a Veteran they dropped a piece or more.

Black marble drops some creatures in Velketor's Labyrinth. Only peices i saw that dropped were near his castle.

Corroded Plate Armor pieces are dropped in Kael Drakkel. Have seen boots and bracers drop while I was there. Boots seem to be the more frequent drop. It seems like the Veterans are the ones dropping the corroded.

The armor from the giants and the gems is a different quest, these are for the items that drop in skyshrine I assume.

Well yes these are Skyshrine quests so you dont need coroded, you need unadorned but I have no idea where this stuff drops =-(

First of all It's Eroded not Corroded ..best place to find it is the Arena in Kael ..high lvl mobs..bring friends ) ...Crushed Marble is what your looking for .I've seen the "Suits of Sentinent Armor" drop them in Wakening ..rare drops though. these parts are for the Thurgadin quest.

If you check, some classes need Corroded, some need Erroded.
