This item is meant as a substitute for 100,000 platinum. Unfortunately, the merchants take a 10% "tax" on anyone buying one from them.
The item sells back to a merchant for 100,000 platinum.
Zog Eggrib is "Parcels and Noble Exchange" in the evil camp. Jeim lists the same, but I didn't check him out as I am evil. You may purchase Nobles from Zog for 122,023pp 1g 2s 7c

Thanks, I added both NPCs, they were missing from the database.
Has anyone ever seen the Firestorm cloak for sale at this vendor? I know it's rare and stupid expensive, but I would like to know if it even exists before droping a pile of pp trying for a chance to get it. Judging by the massive amounts of Krono's offered for it I would guess you can't get it any more.
I really don't think we need more "plat sinks". it's not like everyone on this game is a multimillionaire. get real and reasonable please. there is no way i will pay 110k for something worth only 100k. i would appreciate if soe would understand that we don't want to be taxed. tax without representation is tyranny. get rid of it, please. i won't be buying these even though i would like to have what some of the things the merchant will be selling. it simply isn't worth it to me. it's not like there are great stats on the items. we will use them to decorate with mostly.

Yeah, considering the platflation, not needed at all...

I've been back just over a year -- I have a rather obscene amount of plat.

Then, don't.

Who ties your shoelaces in the mornings? This isn't a 'tax', it's the value of the exchange token to accommodate the large number of players shuffling about large amounts of plat because of the 2million plat threshold. This not the Colonies and you're not Patrick Henry nor are you in Boston dumping tea in a harbour. FFS.

Do you read the words you write?

Q: Why is there such a mark-up on the merchant price? They sell back to a merchant for 100,000 platinum, but cost 110,245 platinum to buy!
A: This is the minimum price difference allowed by EverQuest's merchant system. We will watch how people use the system as is and investigate options if it isn't useful.
