For the ring of fire event is it neccessary to be keyed to get to the Iner Acrylia Caverns? I've been in AC and cleared most of the upper area. And seen the place labeled "ring of Fire" on my LoY map for the place ... basically to get there you zone in from GF make an immediate right ... clear the hall and follow it all the way to a spot where you can only go right and clear your way through grimlings a nd shik`nar ... then there is this little area with a circle made of Tiki torches .... is THIS the ring of fire?
Melee classes with max str will get around 140 atk from avatar, because of the melee class bonus. Same reason adding a Vengeance 2 item (10 atk) will give you 14 atk.
So what does this look like anyways? I'm tired of looking like Homey the Clown...maybe I'll just stick with nocti/blood ember or something. Anyways, seems to me like it'd give a graphic of Netherbian plate or something really pathetic as that. Maybe even your basic silver plate type...
yes there are a few other bps that are equiv to this one.. but not one of them including this one is easy to get so keep on dreamin =).. this is a pimp item though .. would love to see my paly in it! taygarr wiz of the 54th season the seventh hammer
Well, I think that Verant came out with an epic BP =) It seems like an epic weapon, about 15 to every stat, and then some mana and hp and resists. No effect though, but this thing's already uber enough.
SS war bp = 54 ac 90hp 10sta..... Kael bp = 59ac 90hp 10sta
There are very few bps for warrior that are better than this.. Heavy Yteriam (most guilds will never get it ) Chestplate of Vindication (100hp 15sta 15 all resi so its better for resists and effect) Statue bp 55ac 20sta 100hp 8 to saves.... most wars will have 205sta unbuffed so shaman buff will max em out anyhow...so inotherwords this brestplate is on par with the statue bp for wars..
So Rog item...war item...other plate classes...other chain classes
1250 is the softcap on AC having over this amount has been proven fairly useless...HP is king remember that before comparing an item like this to HoT brestplates
Plate classes can get close to this at the level of atainability, maybe some not better but close. So usable non plate classes left are ranger rogue and shaman.
Shamans could use the mana, I don't know what they do after they buff and slow but I'm sure they can think of something. Also that summon after slow I would imagine is not very nice.
I guess rangers can spam the MT with their heals till CH gets off but they ain't the greatest users of magic I would say. But the 45 total points in stats for agi/dex/str on the BP make this nice. I'm sure there would be a large performance difference in their damage output.
Rogues can use the stats for damage output as well, prolly do a whole lot more then rangers.
I would imagine this can be attained without super uber primial equiped guild so stats are prolly important.
But you know what, nothing that is said here matters. It all comes down to what your guild thinks. Maybe you can use arguements used here to influence them. If your guild thinks warrior equiped with this is alright, all the power to em. Anyway I know nothing about these classes really so I'll shut up now.
Well, considering that this is a triggerable event, why not just get one for everyone that wants it?
And, yet again, just because a guild is able to get good Warrior BPs doesn't mean they have them. They don't grow on trees for cripes sake. Most eventually just buy a cultural BP, which doesn't hold a candle to this thing. Even Vindi capable guilds can't just farm him with impunity. Theres a little matter of spawn times, other guilds killing him, needing enough people online to do it, etc. Not to mention that Ring of Fire can be scheduled easily for a week-end raid. Vindi is a little tougher to catch.
Snow, little suggestion - don't talk to people like him. Of course he wouldn't want a primal weapon, +100str +100 sta +100 agi +100 atk proc'ing weapon that gives roughly a 20% dps upgrade. I mean, I know for a fact I wouldn't want to be weild a 15/20 handwrap, that's just stupid!
Primal proc doesn't give you 100 stamina, its same as level 60 shaman spell Avatar. 100 str/dex/agil and +132 attack I believe. Not sure on the bonus to attack but I think its closer to that. Avatar is an attack buff, not a hps buff. With + 100 stam ( which it doesnt give ) would be like 600 hps for a 60 Warrior. Primals are very nice for proc, but its not as nice as you implied.
Hondo, I think his pain point was that the level 58 warrior a few posts down was belittling the usefulness of Avatar. Which of course is hilarious since that warrior has no access to such weapons (check his magelo).
Avatar (proc) does not have 100sta but it does significantly increase your sustained damage through the 100atk and 100str (assuming that you aren't already maxed).
/rant on ok i am sick of all these "UBER" peeps that keep saying that by the time one is such and such lvl they should have better. WTH i personally see plenty of people of a lvl to be able to go for this and have much worse. the reason they still have much worse is cause all these "UBER" peeps seem to always have the stuff camped that alows you to get the better gear. my iksar SK was wearing his Dreadscale quest BP till lvl 49 because of this practice. the only reason i was able to get better was because a friend of mine whos main char is in one of the "UBER" guilds helped me out.
Plus side- I do agree that "You should have <insert number> of <insert stat> by <insert level>" is BS. People camp the stuff all the time so it is harder to get.
Minus side- Im now 51, should hit 52 by next week, and I have gotten every piece of armor i own myself. That ive seen, i have better than many other non-twink bards out there. I got them by having enough skill of my own to prove to many people in many guilds that I am the best out there, and thus I am invited to raids by people I dont even know :P. But it is possible to get good stuff, you just have to get the right group, which is often impossible.

you got a good point.. less someone helps ya that has something like that already its hard to move on.. think of it this way though.. if u decide to keep playin the game after your main is lvl 55+ your alts will be the ubber ones lol.. err one thing though.. really suxor to have people inspecting you time n time again.. blah me? no i am far from that ubber word.. heh.. i earn what i have lol so itll take me forever to get anywhere lmao! taygarr wiz of the 54th season the seventh hammer
WOOHOO way to rant :) you are SO right, the only way i get nice stuff is if someone feels sorry for me, and gives me there old stuff, that is 100 times better than what i have.
my rogue was in 3 pieces of ravenscale till 51, couldnt get into any of the good camps till some guildies let me borrow some stuff. still need to get my own gear but at least i am semi comparable to what i should have at my level
This BP is good for all classes that can use it, but would benefit most for a Ranger/Bard based on its stats (for large guilds only). This is NOT a bp that would give one person 'ub3r 1337 s0l0 statz'. This is a great -BP FOR THE GUILD-. Give a rogue a BP off the cursed or something. Rogues are probably 2nd in line for this though for guilds who cant do cursed, and Bards being 3rd most likely. Great Breastplate all around.
For those wondering and constantly posting. Ring of Fire Loc Acrylia caverns Forced spawn Step in ring starts the process. Mobs start spawning must kill them ( simple) Bosses pop after a certain amount of mobs and each Boss and series of mobs gets harder and harder. Could take hours for complete cycle up to 7th. Clarified?

It can drop off any boss 5 and up. We got one off the 7th boss. Since rogues cant wear the Vindi BP, this would preferably go to a rogue first. Then other chain classes until they dont want it, then plate classes. Considering Velious plate has the same or better AC for plate classes, by the time you can handle this quest, you will have the same or better item if you are a plate wearer. Taking this at that point is a waste of a decent item.
As for the quest, your not going to get this in any kind of a Pickup raid. 1-4 is a /yawn-fest. But as soon as boss 5 pops, you are in for a pretty heavy fight. With adds and the Boss himself, 95% of the guild in EQ would be hard pressed at this point, most wont even make it to the 6th.
you have got to be out of your blasted mind lol...to rouge first then chain classes then plate..ever go to think of certain classes that have other armor restrictions or non tank classess?iksar for instance..no plate armor so this is awsome..bards who get low level plate armor with crappy stats..and yes chain classes too..sorry to say this is a free for all piece of uberness..ac50 +15 all stats +5 all saves 100hp and mana..this is the ultimate bp of superiority
See that guild tag, "Afterlife", you are the one that is out of your blasted mind. When you see that tag note what they are saying cause it is important.
When you are outfitting your guildies the first thing you gotta do is think what class has its limitations and try to max those out.

to clarify all the hubub going on on this page... show me one guild where every player already has the most choice gear.....cant can you cause there is always something better. you obviously are not high lvl enough to understand exactly what it takes to get armor. perhaps those in afterlife can cause it seems 95% of them have no life outside of eq. the only way someone can have everything that could possibly be wanted is to be on eq from waking to sleep restarting the sequal day in day out. before you flame hear me out, i would know cause i spent 5 months living off my bank account jobless i lvled characters insanly quick(grouping like the rest of you, only one computer and no PL) and got nearly every item i wanted due to the fact that i had all the time in the world to enjoy the game. this bp should go to the one who will USE it. yes i said that. the one who will use it. doesnt matter what class or race or who was the first twin born or any other excuse. i know rogues that can make some 60 warriors drool. sorry to flame you all on your uberness where everyone has better but rogues and bards and what ever other classes, but i am certain there is a plate class or an iksar war/sk whatever that could and would use. i know i am spitting in the wind saying this cause its said before, stop saying an item will benefit one class more than another cause its not true and you are showing more greed than ebineezer scrooge. this item will benefit anyone that is listed under usable classes.
what he is saying .. by the time u can do this.. everyone would have ToV or better...and isker (sk/war) can wear ToV plate... only the top notch guilds could do it and the top notch guilds got all the good gear allrdy.. but it is a very nice bp hard to say who gets first P
I got this BP the other day. It is truly awesome. Anyway, for people wondering what it looks like, it depends if you have new models on or off. I play an inkie cleric and with new models on it has a really cool chain look with a lot of colors and little skulls all over it. For people with new models off it looks like silver chain in the old world.
Oh boy, ummm.... Nice chest item... ummmm... Not sure my Paladin wants to wear a 'rib cage' yuk.. But I think I can overlook that part, after all, I am not looking at myself. The smell though when it starts to decay, not sure... Ahhh.. me wish list is just getting to darned big to handle, but fun to dream on obtaining something better than Bloodstained tunic. hehe, bloodstained then ribcage? What am I thinking? I thought Paladins wore bright, polished, shinny, holy, mystical metal armors? ;-) GREAT ITEM!!!!!!!
