Crystallized Shadows sells for 1 plat 4 gold 2 silver 9 copper when offered to Sateal Deirosap vendor in the bazaar by level 2 human monk with 143 cha... Current bazaar price 4 to 5 plat on Bertox server...

As far as I can see, the quest you referred to is only for the armor and weapon drops.
It has the effect that people think you're not very smart. People dont want to send you tells, since you aren't online all the time.
By the way, after a little searching i found out that this and other drops from tofs can be used in this quest, which gives in my opinion crappy items.

Well we can't all be on the same server as you to send you a tell in game. So what is it used for?
You can send cross-server tells as the guy shows, but how often are you going to catch somebody online is the real question.
Well, as of this recent patch, there's no tradeskill tag on this item, so either it's one of the undiscovered quests or nothing....
A year and a half after its introduction, still no data on this item. Does anyone know what it is used for?
This doesn't work as a armor dye either. Anyone figured this out yet?
