My threesome of level 48-49s (SK, Cleric, Bard) have been working our way up the tower. Last night we made it through the level with the ice shades and got the key to Tserrina's level, but decided to exit for the evening. Alas, when we went back through the mirror between the two halves of this level, we left behind an aggro'ed bat, and next thing we knew we had a train on top of us. Cleric gated out, Bard died and used vet reward to get his corpse out, and that left the SK (me) feigning death and needing to run out. So I cast invis (Gather Shadows) to help get past the shadowguards, and paused before running through the ice shades room to reach the exit mirror. To my surprise, most of the shades conned indifferent! I didn't check them all, but at least 3 were indifferent, and 1 scowled. So I guess they're not always undead? Seems weird, but it wouldn't be the first time I've seen "obviously undead" mobs that weren't (e.g. spectral beguiler in CoM).

There is a shade that spawns on the 6th floor that has a pet that is the place holder for Vhalsera who drops the key to the 7th floor.They is only one of them up at anytime.You can tell it from others because it will look like the necro pet not like the others.

Not sure but when i went i killed this guy 3 times, and he only spawned because i kept killing the golem ushers. If you fight where the ushers are this ice shade guy spawns, and drops a key for the next level

the guy that drops the key to 6th is an enraged relative not an ice shade. they just look the same. ice shades are on 6th

These are UNDEAD as is everything from the 1st floor to the 4th floor. I got Expel Undead to land on this mob, not a Lesser Ice Shade but an Ice Shade. I got a group that took me along to the 6th floor and then got smeared all over the walls. Heh I only had one coffin! An that coffin wuz for me and me alone

Smart man if you had the keys. But if you didnt have the keys i would make sure to cut your head off and **** in your jugular vien :)

These mobs are on lv6 and all con blue to a lv 50. No way are they lv30.

These guys would be much easier to kill if they were transfered to the Oasis of Marr. that would be a great help for me because I'm lvl 29 almost 30 :o)

The lesser ice shades on the 1st floor are weak cousins to these... these spawn en masse on the 6th floor along with the other common foe, the shadow gnoll thingy guardian... like everything in this pithole, they fight a bit overly hard for their con... but anyhow, 30-31 is long since green to me and these are always blue... 36+...

Was on the 6th floor with a few guild members last night - these are 36+ (yellow and red to my 35th level Bard)

Nah they are around 30. I stumbled into the tower at level 30 and saw the two of them. One was blue and the other even.

At the bottom of the tower they are lesser ice shades though...not Ice shades like these...Then again possibly the lower ones can sometimes spawn Ice shades instead of lessers...

Only been a few times :)
