He can spawn two different ways. He can spawn totally randomly from any mob on the 5th floor (wedding floor). He will also for sure spawn if you ever kill an undead usher, he will spawn right from its corpse. Undead usher can spawn in any place where golem ushers spawn and loooks exactly the same except for the name. Usually I get him to spawn faster by killing the undead usher, that seems more common than the random relative spawn.
He also makes a great DC pet. I used him to kill all of 6th floor including Vhal'sera, and all of 7th. Tserrina never spawned but I'm sure it would have wiped the floor with her with my pet haste and heals.

On my 5th clear of the floor... Undead usher is up in the first 6 golems, then 2 more enraged spawn from the wedding party. So I went 0 in four clears and 3 in one clear.
Went up to the floor, killed around 10 mobs. Got 2 relatives, both dropped the helm and the key. I'm wearing the helm now and my guild has the key for the raid. Thanks to Glukk and Cordy (Fallen From Grace members) on Terris Thule for helping our guild out by getting the keys!
ok, i have ben here before, and i am pretty sure that to spawn an enraged relative, you need to kill either: 1)the bride before she gets her pet, or 2) either of the couple before the priest spawns (could be one or the other, not sure).this causes the an undead golem to spawn in the hallway, when you kill the golem, the an enraged relative spawns instantly on the undead golem's corpse.
(edit):also, if there are any abnormal spawns in the wedding, he will spawn on their corpse.what i mean by abnormal is, if any mob aggro's on you without you doing anything to it, (usually nothing will aggro on you before you hit it, in the room anyway).again this is just a speculation which i have only found to be mostly correct.
No. The Enraged Relative is a random spawn after you kill any mob on the floor. I've had him spawn after killing golems, groomsmen, the groom, and others.
i agree total random spawn. I went up here with my 52 shammie and the first kill, the bride, The enraged spawned. All the mobs where up on this level. There was no one in the tower that had keys this high. I did a camp check and everyone was trying to get keys off level 2.
Also was reading down a few post. You can invis undead past the first and 2nd floor, if arrgo'd by the undead on these floors either die or keep running as fast as you can. They will travel thru the floors to get you. Then regular invis past the 3rd and 4th to get to the fifth floor. Once on this floor keep regular invis up and start coning the ushers. One will see thru the invis. Run dowm the side oposite him and you can get past with out arrgoing him.
There's one problem with this strategy of "invisiblity vs undead" on levels 1 and 2 followed by "normal invisibility" on levels 3 and 4, and it is this: On level 4, *IF* Cara Omica is up, she DOES see through normal invisibility, and you have to go through her room to get to 5. Because she has Shadows right before her room and in the alcoves right after her room (who don't see through normal invisiblity but DO see through invisiblity vs undead) there is not place and no time to swap from one kind of invisibility to the other to try to make it through her room undetected.
If she's not up, this strategy works perfectly against all other mobs you'll pass on your way to 5. If she is up, you must expect to fight her or her Shadows to get through. Bypassing her with invisiblity vs undead will just open you to aggro from the Shadows, and vice versa.
The placeholders for the named (Amontehepna [sp?], and Cara Omica) will see through normal invis. Nothing else will except the named shadowknight. If you're invis and it sees you it's a placeholder, usually a mummy. I've wandered all over that floor with invis avoiding the named and nothing's ever seen me, except them. Locating ph again after Cara is dead can be a pain, this makes it a little easier. Placeholder and Amon are wandering spawns. Cara, of course, sticks by her coffin.
not sure on hp nut i can give ya half of it. 5 ION procs for 243 each plus 4 rounds on combat, each hit was no less then 100 and all but 1 round i doubled on him. so thats around 1915 dmg, think i did 3 force stuns on him with brings it up to 2185hp. sk with me did about same before dots and taps so i would say he's got about 5khp. tops he hit me for was 113 but my gear really stank so he might hit for less. he hits pretty fast as well. and no a 57 ranger couldn't solo him, well maybe if he had his epic and over 2.5khp and 1kac unbuffed.
This is not a timed spawn, Like pretty much all of the key droppers in ToFS this thing has a random chance of spawning every time something on the wedding floor is killed.
This can be pretty dangerous for groups of 30s fighting on this floor because mana can be depleted at the end of a fight, and then this thing will spawn when you think its all over and boom, instant add. Even worse when this thing spawns immediately after you kill the same enraged relative.
all in all, i guess i just mean that waiting for this thing to spawn won't work, only way to get it to spawn is to kill stuff
We camped the floor yesterday full group 1 war 42, 1 war 44, 1 pally 42, 1 cleric 43, 1 druid 49 and 1 shammee 52.
We clean the floor 2 times and after 45 minutes the enraged relative spawn. We clean again the floor and he spawn again 10 minutes this time... and another one respawn directly after we kill the first one. Ouch we finished all OOM.
The spawn time seems to be random depending on the population of the floor.
There is either noboby who start the spawn of the Relative.
This guy is really funny. He popped from pelpa, cons blue to me at 45 . he hits me for 113 most of the time , didn t resisted my spell but my 415 nuke hit him for 14dmg(cold nuke ) poison work fine on him. when i went lom i decided to gate , as soon as he killed my pet instead of attacking me , he dissapeared , my gate collapse , i recast it , but he has been interrupted , death message , enraged relative backstab you for 461. SO be aware tjhis little sucker is a ROGUE .
This guy spawns on the fifth floor, but he is a triggered spawn. at the beginning hallway with the golem ushers an Undead usher spawns every 45 mins or so. kill him and Enraged Relative will spawn where you killed the usher
I beg to differ. As a cleic not only do all of my undead nukes work on him but also when I am retrieving my corpse on this floor invis vs. undead he cons indifferent. He is indeed undead.
This entire floor is cake for a 45 necro. I am currently camped here with my necro and getting the good exp/loot from all of the named spawns that spawn in the ceremony area.. if a necro wants to solo this mob.. here is how i did it at level 45...pretty easy if you ask me just another kill
44 pet with augment have renew bones memmed asystole venom of snake root heal pet repeatedly when asystole breaks reapply it and reapply roots when they wear off.. relative should drop for you np if you use this strategy.. just don't panic if he whacks u a couple times.. root and lifetap ;) then back away again.. keep cob up and med while pet beats on it, heal pet and lifetap when needed.. expel undead if you want to whatever.. pretty much the spells up top should take care of it easy enough.. haven't seen one resist in the 3 or 4 times i've killed him. dropped the helm and the key each time, worthless garbage for me hehe :) hope this was helpful to all fellow necros :)
Were in the tower yesterday, and the enraged relative spawned with me (level 51 druid) and my level 50 shadowknight. The SK HT'd (791 pts) and proceeded to kill it, while I dotted him and kept her healed. It is entirely possible for two people to do this fight, yes it will give you a problem, but it is easy if you know how to play your classes.
His spawn time was right around 90 minutes. Everytime her HT would come back up to be able to use again, he would pop out of one of the wedding party. HT Recycle time is 90 minutes. Or maybe we just got lucky.
9-24-01 Ancient COllective on the Druzzil Ro server. My group was 46 druid, 46 warrior, 45 warrior, 49 cleric, 47 ranger, and 44 druid. We go in Tower of Frozen Shadows, we get to fifth florr and kill a usher..next thing we know this crazy biotch pops. She hits hard, but we drop her np. After about 9 more kills, she pops again..we kick her ***. Then after like an hour, she pops agian. She never learned her lesson. We killed her again. Each kill a key dropped, twice the helm dropped, and the last time the stainded tunic dropped. it was a fun nite, easy camp, cool loot. i wear it for fun..kinda low AC, i wish it were droppable for lower lvl friends. BTW i call her "she" cause i picture a crazy mother in-law as a "enraged relative"
