Does anyone know of any other helms that do not have in-game graphics?
Took my Necro to 5th Floor today - 5hours to get there from having no keys at all. Then zip. Spent another 8 hours clearing the whole 5th floor again and again. No enraged relative at all. No diamond wedding band either. Maybe just bum luck. Would like to know if anyone has seen the enrage relative since.

i got a ry gorr helm-13ac 3 str 15mana and 5sv cold 3 sv magic should i swap it with this helm when i go to upgrade armour in my 30s-40s

I would change your Ry'gorr for this one. The loss of 3 AC is nothing compared to the gain of 2 Str, 5 mana, 5 Cha and all those resists. I wouldn't think twice, even if u r not a caster and cant use the mana. I would still prefer the spiked one.

My group took him down easy. me a 36 pally the youngest a 37 druid a 42 pally a 44 cleric a 41 warrior and a 38 SK. we were low on mana he started aggroing on me cleric couldnt heal so I Used LoH at the right time. boom bam enraged is dead. got the helm along with the SK were on the 5th floor about 2 hours killed the entire floor without a problem. I almost finished off lvl 36 in three hours in the tower. b/c i had just dinged right before we had gone in. GO ME!!!
My ranger got this the other night and the Enraged Relative seens to spawn in a certain order. And when I say it spawns in a certain order, I mean it spawns as if was on a timer that could be predicted, not randomly. For example, we started off killing each of the zombies and other named undeads that spawn in the room. And the Enraged Relative would spawn each time, on time, after we killed the undead gnoll thingy.
Anyway, it is a nice helm and I quickly ditched my Exe Hood in favor of the helm. I would rather take my +9 DEX away in favor of the extra bonues in saves, AC, and STR.

I will have to disagree with you about the Enraged Relative being on a set timer. I was in a group there for quite a few hours and the Enraged Relative seems to be a random pop who is reset to different spawn points after it is killed. We had it pop after killing the ushers, relatives, priest .. etc. And sometimes it would pop within minutes of being killed and sometimes not for a long time.What I am not sure of though is if the ER is assigned a specific spot for its spawn or does each mob that you kill go thru like a lottery to determine if the ER will pop again. And I do agree about the helm being nce.. at least for my high elf cleric!

I agree with you on the timed spawn. I just got this item as part of guild outting this weekend on Ayonae Ro. I have a lev 36 Paladin that's NOT twinked and happened to win this item when rolling for loot. AC is not the greatest but the buffs are a good compensation.

The enraged relative hits hard and has lots of hits but with the right group is an easy kill.
My group was a 53 shammy, 51 chanter, 49 mage, 49 neccy, 40 neccy and me a lowly 30 paladin :)
I even did some damage :))

Ok I have camped the hell out of the 5th floor! I have 4 diamond wedding bands 4 etched velium rings about 6 laced veils and got a spiked skull helm on my bard. and seen more crap rot that I would ever want to admit. (for all of those waiting to flame me saying the rings are lore, yes I have more than one account and serveral char's so find something else to flame me on.)
The Helm has no graphic the corpses rot in 8 min (trust me) when servers are busy and have to log off one char and log on another rot times get very importand. I have had about 3 of them rot before I got my bard one! damn no drop gear. Oh the helm drops ALMOST every time not every time. Drops the helm about 90% of the time or more.
There is no placeholder he is complete random spawn. I have had the Enraged Relative spawn out of the Enraged Relative! That is one BAD FIGHT when your low on mana. Have had him spwan out of the undead dancer, hell even had him spawn out of the damn golems. The Wedding swords drop so much that they would be given away if they wern't lore.
Easiest way to get though the 5th floor is to pull all the golems on the left side or right side then pull the PREIST FIRST! HE WILL HEAL THE OTHER MOBS. The zombies only argo if you kick them in the balls (well once in a blue moon). BTW Everthing is a 19 Minute spawn except for the golem inside the wedding room (the golem usher) he just spwans whenever the hell he feels like it. He is far over on the left and If you stay over to the right side you will be fine. If you move too far up on the right side by the platform the undead dancer will attack you right when she spawns. hope this helps

There is no "trick" to getting him to spawn. Killed the undead usher many times without Seeing the enraged spawn. The reason is this: The mob that will "spawn" the enraged, whatever the mob (any mob on the 5th) is acctually not the same mob as normal, its slightly diffrent - it has the extra code to create the Enraged upon death. If the enraged code exists, say on an undead dancer, then killing the Undead Usher won't spawn him. He won't spawn until the dancer is killed -
yes, there IS a way to tell which mob has the Enraged, NO its not easy, but YES it does work every time. Personally, when farming rings - we try and avoid the Enraged :) lol.
Fun tower tho. I love it :) leveled there from level 43-51 with a few jaunts elsewhere.. :)

I go to ToFS all the time. The enraged realative will pop randomly off of any mob on the floor. However, if you kill an Undead Usher, the relative will pop everytime. Undead Usher looks just like the Golem Ushers, only difference is the name. I know this for a fact. An Enraged Relative is an easy kill, would be hard if you are under 40 though. You can clear the whole tower with one good group easily :)

I am a human bard..... man i got soo tired of looking like flash gordan with my lambent helm.... now without the helmet graphic i can walk into a dungeon with out the mobs laughing at me :)

i am also a human bard and i would REALLY want one of these... im tired of being called a bucket head cuz of the ugly FP helm graphics... unfortunately im still being called a smurf cuz of the other lambents = )

I got this with on my Iksar SK. He looks sweet with full Dreadscale and this helm with no graphic. Now I need to get the Shield of Shadows. BTW a group of 37-52 took down the wedding party and this guy with no trouble at all. We even had a 45 druid as our main healer. This place is easy if you have someone to single pull. Just sit in the hall to the right past the Ushers and go to town. =)

So everyone knows, it's a lot easier to get a Blackened Iron Crown with the same stats minus the mana...

Since they changed Runnyeye the Blackened Alloy Coif (formerly Blackened Iron Crown) is 8 ac 6str 6 all resists....

This is by no means easier to get then a BI crown. First you need to get all ur keys upto the 5th floor then you havta kill wedding spawn til he pops. He whiped out 4 of us lvls 43-50 when the other 3 ppl were on their way back up (they clicked on the exit mirror accidently). Once the other 3 got back he wasn't too hard but gettin keys can be a pain.

The Enraged Relative has lots and lots of hit points and was hitting me for 106 consistently. He has two PHs, the Undead Usher and any of the wedding party. We had him spawn about 6 times on us last night and he dropped the helm every time. My 45 rogue is looking good wearing hers. Best part is it doesn't have a graphic, so you get to keep the no helm look, which is soo much better for a cute female woodelf like myself. :) Everyone in our party got one and we had to let the other 3 that dropped rot since we had the whole Tower to ourselves. We're going back there again tonight to try for more of the Rings off Daman and Nosja, so if you are on Torvo and have keys up to level 5, swing by if you want this helm. BTW, he spawns immediately after killing a PH, so have a cleric with enough mana since he takes down life really fast.

Was on the 5th floor with my friend SK, lvl 43 and I being 52 enchanter. I had out my pet which hits for 52 max and was pulling the wedding party and this guy spawns and brings the SK down to 2 bubs of life then I aggro the Relative on me and pet starts beating away on him. I tashania then slow him, with my pet and the SK having SLW on em. The SK harm touches him and his health bar hardley moves. Pet ends up getting killed so i have to root and finish him off with nukes. Only resisted on of my spells, Discord mind one time, cast bout 8 different magic based spells on him with only one resist, so he has a descent magic resist. Anyway, we bring him down and he drops the helm to the SKs delight.

Took him down in a matter of seconds with a 56 ranger, 53 cleric, 50 monk, 37 warrior, 55 warrior, and 51 druid. Was a joke =)

I spoke with a GM today as to how to get the graphics to show on the velious helm and he replyed that there is a quest to get the graphics to show and that i should look around the area that I should begin my search for the quest around the area that I got the helm from.
Anyone else heard anything like this?

This helm is just sick. Two clerics in my guild are wearing them now and we're looking for at least one more for our main tank.
The mob conned red at 41 and doubled me for 117. Not a nice thing to fight, but we had some guys in their 50s who took it out with ease.

there is a way to get the textures to show now but i dont know hopw they added it in last patch.if somone knows will you please tell i think its a quest it be nice to know i have to helms from vel. the guardian helm and the spiked vel helm .

Aye, these mobs are tough. Today we had a full group of 40-46 and were able to bring these down without too much trouble. They hit hard though and have a ton of hps. 3 of our group left and one of these spawned on the rest of us: 45 pali, 46 shaman and 40 cleric. We were all kind of spent mana wise from the mobs we were fighting when this thing spawned and had to gate after 4 CHs on the pali, resists from the shaman and messages of LOM and OOM. I got the sword earlier though and am interested to see what it's for.

One dropped both times we saw the mob (short respawn, like 10 or 15 minutes). Made the cleric and the rogue happy.

I luckily won the lotto on this helm...alas, when it is worn ( by a wood elf ranger) it cannot be seen....or the graphic is bugged, regardless there are no spikes to be seen while wearing this bad boy. The same was noted by our party's pally ( human) who also won a helm. Nice stats, easy green mob for a level 45 to slaughter and loot.
Just wish I could see some spikes on this wicked helm ) or any helm at all .

are ALL of you clueless? thieres a command line in the eqclient.ini ... LOADVELIOUSTEXTURES=OFF.... swithc that to on and u can uber urself out with the graphic... however since most people have velious textures off odds are that only you will see it

It probably does have a graphic, but you probably don't have your Velious graphics turned on. You have to turn them on manually with some /commmand. Don't know it. You can prolly find it out by asking around, but don't know.

I got this helm the other night and i did the /command for them, still no graphic :(
Supposedly if you do a /load armor 17=true, and do this through 22, when you reboot its supposed to show armor. I did this and it either has no graphic, or its bugged. Would someone please post some info on how to get graphic to load?? Not sure if my info was right.

Well the default for the armor to be visible is "true" btw. But if you want to check, go into your EQClient.ini file. Right at the top, Load Vellious Armor <17/22>= <true/false> will be listed. Just save your modifications, and you be all set.
And what a nice helm, but AC is a little low. But I'd sacrifice 3ac for all the resistances. What floor does it drop from?

Actually most all new helms from velious have no Graphic as they arent in game yet and/or bugged. They are supposed to be put in with Tuesdays patch. *crosses fingers*
