This item lists Beastlords as being able to wear it, but I've never seen a Dwarven, Gnomish, or Halfling Beastlord. I don't even think they are possible Beastlord optional races. Just an observation. Thanks for listening all.
This is an old pic .. as of 7-7-03 the Tunic I have is listed as changing the Race to take off MNK, BRD, & SHM ... they also ADDED the FRG to the Class ... sending a pic to Allak as we speak, will see how long it takes to update :o)
So, to surmize the resists and such will read the same, but the Class will read WAR CLR PAL RNG SHD DRU ROG & Race will read DWF HLF GNM FRG
Also there are no races listed that can play monks either, but take yet another look at this picture, this was probably taken WAY Pre-Luclin Era...meaning Beastloards didn't even exsist at that time, a newer description of the item may list BST after all. Just another case of the guys at SoE/VI smoking crack on the job again =(

Posted:Aug 29 2001 at 7:05 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Your smokeing crack, the BCP SUCKS TOTALY for the end game, now granted, the druids role in raids is very limited, but I would take the resists on the thing anyday over the +9 dex( you got anything that random procs??)
Well, given that DEX controls disrupts and fizzles, I'd say it's a useful stat to have. Like, say, when a mob breaks on you and the lead calls evac. Sure the evacer is supposed to sit there and never cast, but things can happen. Or when you're a druid solo kiting and you root to med for mana to finish a mob, and the root fizzles. Or breaks and you're trying to self gate away before being turned into a fine red paste. Lastly, yes you shouldn't be meleeing, but the time comes when you might have to. Once you get the WIS to 200, you have to think about the other stats. Not that the BCP is an end game item, of course, but you get the point.
First of all, DEX does not control disrupts and fizzles.
Secondly, disrupts and fizzles are two completely different things (although the result in-game is very much the same =).
Your fizzle rate depends ONLY on your skill level in the school of the spell which you try to cast. So casting root with a skill level of 5 in alteration will leave you with a very high fizzle rate.
Disrupts depends ONLY on your channelling skill level. The higher your channelling skill, the higher the chance of regaining your concentrating and continue casting.
Not flaming, just trying to clear out a common misunderstanding. =)
That is only your opinion, as the BCP does not have any resistances, or any HP bonus. It's all really want you want on it, considering they are both the same AC. Besides, the BCP weighs 10.0, this is only 2.0
Aye I would love to have this to wear when I am out with the boys downing a pint or ten. Save me on oil. You know how much you have to oil that metal stuff when you get beer spilt all over it? Besides I would be styling at guild events. :+)
I would have to disagree here. Shroud of Nature is much better, until you can get either plane BP (which is alittle TOO heavy) or Velious Quest Armor. SoN has AC:13 Wt.5.0 Wis 6 and 8 SV Fire and Cold. Fire and Ice are more offten encounted in higher end zones, and the 6 wis is nice. That's just my 2 CP worth though.
Allz i gots ta say is... ESBP, perhaps not the best but darn close, way better than this pos then again i am posting waaaay after original comment was made, but still ESBP was Kunark, this is Velious, so my statement stands true... ESBP lets say it together... (only thing is its to damn expensive =\ still 18k at time of posting, lot more expensive when joo posted)

The reason it says monk is because this is wearable by all leather wearing classes. Its alot easier for verant to filter out armor by class instead of by race. This armor is actually only wearable by the WAR, CLR, PAL, DRU, & ROG classes. Those are the only classes that can be the 3 small races listed. Small leather armor also lists the same classes as this even though almost half of those classes can't be a small race.
Now I wish people would quit always stating the obvious and complaining when a class is listed on a piece of armor even though they can't be the races listed.
Got only one of these in 5 nights of fighting on the second floor. Drops off undead dork (I mean... uh.... dorf!) on the second floor. Didn't win the roll, wish I had. Zorglim drops nil but some change, besides this. Unless there is an UBER rare drop.
I have looted these from the Enraged Relative on the wedding floor, which is also the key holder to 6th floor. Seemed pretty common. He dropped it everytime he spawned. (Enraged Relative lvl44)
Me was wonderin', does dis come wit drunken coldain? Yum Yum! But me wonder who woulds wear dis, since dem stumpies can no be monks, me can't tink of any gud class race combo dat might like. Mebbe druids, but den dem have da bcp which be far nicer me tinkin. But regardless, dis be pertty nuice shirt, me just not likin da low ac on it. Nice stats, perhaps sumtin to wear on occasion when yous need higher saves?
ROGUES baby, this thing would be great for many rogues, lacking only in the ac this thing is light weight and gives bonuses to a whole slew of stats, as long as the rogue doesnt do much tanking this thing would be a huge step up from that lockjaw hide vest....

For the love of god shut up. Havent yall noticed this before? When they label what classes can wear the item, they don't look at race. They put it through a filter so it will automatically be labeled for all who can wear leather. For the race, they just filtered out shorties.
I understand that, but why would they include a class, and exclude the only races that can play that class? There is no such thing as a dwarf, halfling, or gnome monk, ranger, shadow knight, bard, or shaman, so why would they list those classes? I understand that there are no gnome paladins, but paladin is included by virtue of the dwarf paladin being a viable choice.
