Anniversary events tend to run from mid-March to mid-April (sometimes to mid-May) each year. They are not available during the "off season".
For an overview and list of EverQuest Anniversary events, see this quest entry. This is an anniversary quest available only during anniversary season (a few weeks during March and April). It was introduced in 2009 as part of EverQuest's 10th anniversary. This is one of 16 deity quests. Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane`s Image wanders the Plane of Knowledge near the Soulbinder. You say, 'Hail, Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane`s Image' Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane`s Image says 'Hello there! You might know me. Then again, you might not. No matter to me, really. I just wanted to invite you to a [party]!' You say, 'A party?' Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane`s Image says 'It seems to me that lately you folks here on Norrath have gotten a bit too stressed out. You've been slaying dragons for a decade, it's time to relax! So I've set up some firework shows for you. Of course with any good party plans, you really should expect to go to several places to get the most out of it. So do you want to enjoy a good show? Are you up to the challenge? A party [challenge]!' You say, 'I'll take the challenge' Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane`s Image says 'Well then, good luck! Most of all have fun!' You have been assigned the task 'Bristlebane's Party Favor - Bristlebane's Favor'. Bristlebane wants you to visit the firework shows all over Norrath. They happen only at one place at a time, so you have to keep moving! Bristlebane told you that he's having a party and has challenged you to participate. All over Norrath, and likely a few other places, there are firework shows to enjoy. All he has asked is that you find those fireworks and enjoy them. But the fireworks show only happens in one place at a time, so you'll have to keep moving. Bristlebane assured you that nothing bad would happen to you... LOCATION: Southern Desert of Ro -- around spectre isle (3792,-1631,15) (CONFIRMED) CLUE: If a bear was bare here, it couldn't bear it. the formula is =MOD(((Days*24)+Hours),20)-3 for Tunare. he spawns in the zone at 15 past the hour real time, or on the new hour when you do /up in PoK,

As of 4/21/17 the formula is =MOD(((Days*24)+Hours),20)+6

On The Rathe server in 2017 you will need to subtract 4 from the formula. Using the 0-19 table. i.e. Steamfont 0, Butcherblock 1, Qeynos Hills 2, etc. BPM spawns in each zone approx. 15mins after the hour, real time Confirmed.

After all the server maintenance/fixes yesterday (4/25) the formula is accurate without the need to add or subtract anything. The party machine pops in about 20mins past the hour and changes to the next zone at 15-20mins past the next hour in real time. Or if you want to follow by /up time, it will be about 5-10mins past the counted hour. Like around dd:hr:10:ss give or take.
Followed it through three zones to confirm it.

It's changed again. Now it's the usual formula +6, and it pops in at 35mins past the hour, and stays until 35mins past the next hour. The first half of the hour it's still in the previous zone. I've watched it in a couple zones to confirm it.
On The Rathe server in 2016, you will need to add 7 to the formula. Using the 0-19 table. i.e. Steamfont 0, Butcherblock 1, Qeynos Hills 2, etc. BPM spawns approx. 25mins after the hour, in-game Earth time. Confirmed. Note: Patch due on May 18, so may have to recalculate and see if still need to add. Will advise.

Following the patch on 26May2016....on the Rathe...the formula is accurate BUT the Party Machine changes zones approximately 45mins after the hour. So, if the formula answer is 5 (Using 0 as Steamfont) the party Machine will appear in Erudin 45mins after the hour.
I couldn't get the page to show a Reply button so I'm answering this question in a separate thread. Someone asked why many folks list the locations numbered 0-19 instead of 1-20. The answer is: math. When you divide by 20 and take the remainder, the remainder is 0-19, not 1-20. So if your list is numbered 0-19 you can just look up the remainder. Otherwise you have to add 1 first, or shift all the table entries, or whatever.
I think that's also why one of the 2016 threads says we add 9 this year. I found the BPM by adding 8 and using a 0-19 table, but obviously adding 9 and using the 1-20 table would give the same result.
Incidentally, more math: Given that you're going to be dividing by 20 and taking the remainder, you can throw out any multiple of 20 hours.
So when you look at the /uptime in PoK, just multiply the days by 4 instead of by 24; it keeps the numbers smaller.

ok have had a terrible time tracking down the BPM .. im on bertox server so what i did was sit in Erudin for like 10 hours lol till BPM showed up . I had my log file on incase i was afk or asleep i could extrapulate from logs the time he showed up .. anyways . BPM showed up at 01:18am after pok had been up for 10:17:26:15 well all we have to worry about is the 10:17 (10 days 17 hours) so then i use the math from previous posts ( i also copy/pasted the 0-19 list, but just re-numbered them 1-20)
10*24 =240
240 + 17 =257
257/20 = 12.85
use the remainder
.85*20 =17
so from this calculation BPM should be in (wait for it )

Confirming that just worked on Cazic-Thule as well. 14:00 = 14*24 = 336 + 00 = 336 / 20 = 16.8 -> 0.8 * 20 = 16 ... which should be Crescent Reach. But add 9 and you get Everfrost Peaks... and sure enough, that's where he was.
spent 2 days looking randomly. after all that failure, I decided to approach it a different way. Camped a toon overnight in highpass. next morning still no update. logged on wizzie and set up a 4 port search ( nek, south ro, natimbi and gfay). found it in gfay the very next hour. by the time I got a 2nd toon there it was gone. ran to nek and it was up.
Server up time was 6:18:15. plugging that into the formula gives:
6*24 = 144
144 + 18 = 162
162/20 = 8.1
.1 *20 = 2
so.. shoudla been in qey hills?
so on povar atm we add 7 for whatever reason. or maybe 8. check both.

Hello there, I hope this post isn't too late for ya. I see you added 5, and some other posts said to do so. If for some reason going forward that there is a 5 hour delay on BPM you would want to cycle back through the numbers (0-20) ie if the formula gives you 19 and you need to add 5, the result would be zone 3. On Zek currently the formula is correct (with a slight delay), with no adding of zones:

1 hour + 1 day = 25
25/20 = 1.25
.25* = 5
Counting Ak'anon as 0 The zone will be Erudin and is confirmed at the docks.
The slight delay: He should despawn from Erudin docks at 01:02:00:01 (for the hour change) but he did not despawn until 01:02:19:00. So about a 19 minute delay (on this server anyway). I hope I helped a little!

I am not sure what is going on. I am on the Drinal server and I am not having any luck with this guy and his party. I do the calculations by what i get from doing /up. I port and run to spot or area this quest says to go to. Then I sit and sit and yes sit some more. For 3 hours I sit and He never comes. I have even added 3 hours and even 5 hours to the calculations. I even have gone to the next spot by doing the next set of calculations and still no luck. I have the task in my task window. I talked to Fizzlethorpe Bristlebane`s Image. I am just so lost and about to say this is not worth it. It is not worth just sitting for 3 hours in one spot for a darn Robobot Mount and all of the other stuff I can get get if I finish these quests. YES, the Anniversary Events are still up. No I am not trying these during the off season. No I am not a stupid person.
Could someone give exact coordinates of a place to sit beside around the Pok Book or in a large circle from pokb book and druid ring or by the specter isle or here and there in this area or in a south path from the pok book or in the SE area. Those are not working for me not at all. Thank you

Spectre Island he roams around the bottom of it, on the actualy island. ANd if you mean the PoK book + Druid ring in Ferrott he follows the path from Inno zone to the book. Park inbetween and hope he doesn't spawn elsewhere.

Update: I figured it out. Even when I was adding 3 hours I was still missing him till I got lucky. Found him. From that I was able to stay ahead of him.
You have to add 3 hours to your calculations to find the correct zone on the Drinal server. Good luck and happy hunting.

as of April 30, 2015 Adani's below posts are correct .. I did the formula calculations and added five and found the BPM in Field of bone who appeared right on schedule 10min past the hour .. thanks for all the help .. go by Adani's post and you will find the bpm ..
As of April 29, 2015 on The Rathe server, you need to ADD five to the result of the formula to get his proper location. i.e.: If the result of the formula is 9 add 5 and he will be in zone 14

As of May 6, 2015 there was a server reset on The Rathe Server at approx. 7PM PDT. There is NO need now to add to the result of the formula.

As of 1Jun2015 the formula remains accurate on the Rathe. He spawns approx. 10mins after the earth time hour.
As of Mar 25, 2014 on The Rathe Server, you must ADD three hours to the formula calculation to arrive at the correct zone. The Party Machine despawns 10mins after the hour.
Go to Plane of Knowledge (or ask someone who is in PoK)
Type /up
You will get this message: (These numbers are for example)
This world has been running for 23:15:57:19
This zone has been running for 10:09:51:52
Ignore the first line with "This world". You want the number in the second line "This zone"
The number 10:09:51:52 means this:

I found the machine in the opposite direction from the instructions above. I found it south by southwest of the druid ring, near the POD lift, under kelethin

I have no idea how to read these charts you are putting up. One of them says 07:49:30 as Time, with the associated place being Steamfont,SE portion of zone. Well, I checked '/time' and at both 7am-8am and 7pm-8pm in game time, there was no party machine or fireworks to be seen. And I have absolutely no idea what "MOD(((A1*24)+B1);20)" means. I don't think it's a Math term, is it?

Last year I missed getting this one done by one item and one hour because of the mod command drifting (wrong zone wrong time ) so I took Korika's excellent sheet and expanded it a bit so it would show the current zone, what I needed, and were it would be in the future. You can get the sheet here https://app.box.com/s/kklkhe41g5lky992pzdv . Please feel free to do what you want with it. It did save me hours this year by not having to guess were he was and having to pop into POK to get the current uptime.
PS: I don't use excel so this one is in open office-3.3 .ods which should convert to most any other modern spreadsheet app.

The spreadsheet does not seem to work in excel 2010. it does not come over with any formulae.

Just checked on Luclin and it still changes zone just before half past (PoK uptime). It left Misty and appeared in Natimbi within 2 to 5 mins so it appears to be working correctly on Luclin.

Also just as additional information, at least on Vox the Party Machine only appears for about the last 15 minutes of the hour, and he is emitting fireworks the whole time. So you can't find him in the zones at all until he spawns in the zone around the 45 minute mark, does his walk for the remainder of the hour; despawns. Reappears in next zone location 45 minutes later, fireworking, etc.

Im not sure what I am doing wrong but I have been in rathe mountains now 5 times during the time he is supposed to be there but have never seen him in that zone. The last 3 times I sat in the nek wizard portal area until he de-spawns, gate to PoK, Stone to Gutka, head to the NE area (the old hill giant area , as I assume)... but nothing.
I run the area, nothing, then Ill run the zone just to be sure, nothing. Pop to the wall in Misty Thicket to see if its poppedthere yet, nothing, go back to RM , no robot.
The first 2 times I relied on the timers and just showed when it was calc'ed he would be there .............................. If anyone knows where Im going wrong please lmk, .. or if anyone can verify a spot on Povar that they updated in that zone it would be great, thanks

That you say "NE" makes me troubleshoot firstly that you're in the wrong area; the area is more West-South-West. Here on this map it's the number 19 area:

I found him at about number 21; he wasn't on top of the plateau there, but down below in the grassy area East of the plateau.
As for me, I lost him at Dawnshroud. I ran a loop between Sanctus Seru and Netherbian but didn't see him and I was confident Dawnshroud would be an easy find like all the others, but did not see him there. I'm not sure what "Sanctus Seru between the baker's camp and Netherbian" actually means in the directions, but I pretty much covered the area between SS and Netherbian for a while (even spiralled outward to try and cover more of the zone when I began to suspect I wasn't going to find him where I figured the directions meant) and surprisingly didn't see the Party Machine.

Got him!! Thanks for that, I was hunting the wrong area. Ive been playing since "Trilogy" and that NE area (frst right turn from Ferrott) has always been where I farmed HG, soI was stuck on that being the area.

Any sighting of the Party Machine on Erollsi Marr since the patch yesterday? According to original math he should have been in Natimbi 530am est but no show so I think the patch scewed the timing. Thanks.

Observed fireworks display in Butcherblock (Vox) five minutes ago (9.55 EST US); happened upon him by accident as he fireworked (though have the Bristlebane favor running). Pursuing into Qeynos Hills.

Last year when I returned to the game (perfect timing, 2 days makes it a year, so I came in right at fest 2013), I would log in and manually mine that formula. But thanks, that excel allowed me to log in, pop to PoK, check up time, DL the file and hit the current zone .... all in less than 7 mins.
OK, now the reason for post, ... at the moment, Bristles firework robot has been in cresent reach for 14 mins ...

Download it, open it, and go in Plane of Knowledge,
In PoK, use the command : "/UPTIME", you will have 2 lines the 1st one is the time since the server is on-line.
The 2nd line is the time since the ZONE is on line, this is the timer we will use. In MY example "16:21:29:59" 16 (days), 21 (Hours), 29 (minutes) 59 (seconds).
[Mon Mar 10 12:49:16 2014] This world has been running for 16:21:34:34.
[Mon Mar 10 12:49:16 2014] This zone has been running for 16:21:29:59.
In the excel file, in B1 put the day, in B2 the hour and in B3 the minutes.
Un B4 you must see the zone where the party is. Command line in it is "=MOD(((days*24)+hours);20)-2" the -2 is for adjust the zone this year (2014) so it can be a bit different for 2015.
You have the zone list too with all locations.
PS : 11 March 2014 - server crash now formula is "=MOD(((days*24)+hours);20)" !

I've been following the party on Luclin for the last 6 hours and the formula is slightly wrong for some reason; I assume it works for other server(s).
First of all, it changes zones around half past (PoK uptime) and second it seems to be -1 and not -2.
It went from South Ro to Everfrost when PoK uptime was between 04:08:28:56 and 04:08:29:11. Then it went to Erudin at 04:09:29:08.
So for Luclin the formula currently is (MOD(((A1*24)+B1),20))-1 before half past and (MOD(((A1*24)+B1),20)) after.
No clue why Luclin would be different but I just followed the party from Dawnshroud Peaks all the way to Erudin and it was moving around half past.
