Being a Level 60 Wizard, and nothing to do yesterday morning, I took my favorite shaman friend with me and decided to go see Seru. After reading about the hole in the roof, and the potential for being summouned, I figured i could just look. It took 3 gflux to get myself and my shaman up to the last slope leading to the roof. I left her there and proceed onto the top with about 2400hp. Im glad i went myself. As i approached the hole in the roof... You have been slain by a Guardian of Seru.. Loading . It wasnt a DT but probably a HT. Considering how high i was above the floor to Seru's chamber i was surprised by the killing. Needless to say a necro and cleric were in order. Was a funny way to start the day, but i never got to look at Seru. :(
The swords name is Truthbringer. It is supposidly the weapon that Mith Marr used. It is also said that a Pally with Truthbringer will kill The Sleeper. This is all on The War of the Gods, there was a link on everlore.
Vex Thal has something to do with a sword...some pics there show a sword floating in the zone.
Wandering if this non useable sword, 75 43 could be in relation to the key to that zone or such. No reason to be made and claimed as none/none without a use. glitches don't do this..it was set that way and put in the game for a reason.
That's really an impressive sword... but it's never looks that are important in a weapon, I'd carry around a giant banana if it were amazingly powerful.
After all, no one ever killed the entire line of Darkpaws by showing off how pretty their sword was.
That sword would look soooo bad *** on me =P .. or anyone for that matter. I have to believe that if anyone in the game had that weapon it would be like you were Tom Cruise or something people would never leave you alone hehehe " what weapon is that" "Thats a awsome weapon" "can i have you autograph" lol
To get to him, Verant wants you to do the key quest (which I hear isn't in the game yet) and apparently they have found a way to change loots on mobs without despawning them (unless he despawns and immediately respawns right as you unlock his stronghold) but the point is, he will only drop the good loot if you open his fortress with a key, and if you GFlux up, he will drop the taunt loot (75/45 1hs, not usable, -99 AC BP ) And from what I read the fight took 45 minutes, which I dont understand either, maybe he is partially immune to melee damage. I got this info from www.mobhunter.com
The loot if it was real was basically Verant's way of taunting anyone who went for him before they completed their plans for him... Oh, and the sword everyone keeps drooling over is Race NONE Class NONE... This reminds me of the little dorf that nukes the crap out of you if you ask for phat lewts...
i'm pritty sure wut u gotta do to get in. u must 1st raise ur fraction then get a special item from each house Like "the eye of trust" but u need a good fraction to get them to give u the quests
I hate to tall you all this but this guy cant be hit by weapons i was there when a huge guild tryed to kill him only the monks who did not ues weapons could hit him and any weapons that do damage to humens will do damage to him
I hope you'll pardon my sceptiscism, but I'm not prepared to accept an anonymous post with such vague infomation as this as acurate. Perhaps you could tell us which guild, or even which server it was on? Were you actually in the room where the fight was taking place, or just in-zone? When you say he can't be hit by weapons do you mean Seru was immune to non-magic weapons (although its unlikely anyone trying to take him on would be equipped with rusty daggers :) ) , invulnerable as in Divine Aura, or just that his AC and Dodge were so high that only monks were landing hits on him (although I can't see why the other melee classes be able to) ? Did he have some kind of ablative skin buff up, perhaps? Finally, if any weapons that do damage to humans will damage him, does that mean there are weapons that humans are naturally invulerable to? If so, which ones? :)
I was told all you have to do is gravity flux urself up there and fall for a bunch of damage. I do want that sword. But that's the way i heard you get in, so you really have to be a caster...
Not at all. All that's required is that everyone /duels the Chanter/Wizzy who's casting Grav Flux, drops their MR as much as possible, and take the hit. You no more HAVE to be a caster to get in than you HAVE to be a wizard to get to Hate :)
You know I tend to stay away from judgeing the looks of mobs and items but in this case I must truly say THAT IS THE BEST DAMN LOOKING SWORD I'VE EVER SEEN IN EQ!
it does look pretty tough and hopefully since hes supposedly lvl 65 it is a nice weapon
however a lot of luclin weapons look pretty nasty and a lot of regular guards in the zone hold attractive looking damagetools too so it might have more bark than bite....needless to say it does look good
