This dropped on the trash mob Zun Centien Xakra in Vex Thal tonight.
Was farming hide's and this dropped. Surprised figured it only dropped off the advisor in this zone.
x2 same mob. In the advisor room.
I've noticed that 2-3 of these drop in every High, Single Boss, Mistmoore, LDoN I go through.

yea its like the only rune that drops there i got like 15 doing do missions im looking for rune of frost so im doing commonland ldons now.

I did just have one of these drop from a summoned greater defender in Takish-Hiz adventure!
I can't tell you how many times in the past 22 months I have killed a Tribal Advisor, and this rune NEVER dropped for me. Just in the last week, I've killed him at least 25 times.

Confirmed drop from "an undead slave" in Veksar in the sewers. It took along time for it to drop. So keep at it. Good luck

After wasting weeks of hunting this, someone told me to try a hard LDON..went to Butcherblock and got hard collect mission in Mistmoore Catacombs, the rune dropped in 20 minutes from 'Scion Blood Agent' the white tornado thingies on 8-7-10..NOT A MYTH, these runes DO exist!!!

Why in the hell make a work-around quest that takes more time and is more annoying than the original? Honestly with all the GD time I've spent on this nonsense, I could have done 1.0 twice... If I had it to do over again, I'd never even bother with this assanine quest.

i have spent the better part of 2 years atlest 3 times a month spending 3-5 hrs a shot in vesker huting this rune.. NOT ONE DROP. what is the point of making the rune that rare. i have prob clocked over 10ks in Vesker and not 1 rune.
Have you tried the Takish-Hiz LDON? I seem to recall it dropped at least once every time I did one in the past. I used to do them quite regularly to max my charm aug.

Admin, please REMOVE all mobs from the drop list except anything posted after march 2008, or whenever the "dusted runes" took effect in the game, for all the 50's - 60ish mobs that used to drop them, no longer do. They only drop "dusted runes" in their place.
- 6 HIGH risk LDoN's, no rune (that's what....@ 150+ mobs?)
- 40 hours of Real Time camping whole east side of Veksar (undead)...prob @ 1000+ mobs at a minimum, only 3 rune drops used in prequest, rest were all "dusted runes" / got Vortex, Glint and Tempest. The other (3) : Cascade, Flash and Impulse were all bought in baz, cause i got tired of farming Veks for them.
So far, Jaeil the Wretched hasn't dropped this rune in 8 kills....gonna keep trying tho (has dropped 4 dusted runes ><)
Sambata Tribal Advisor hasn't dropped it either in 5 kills, but has dropped 3
dusted runes......
.....am beginning to wonder if any of the postings for the wiz 1.5 prequest are viable pre-2009?

After camping DSP, The hole, and Veksar for about a month off and on for this stupid rune I got some guildies to help me do an LDON. This dropped for me on the first one we did(normal setting) 1 level 77(me) and 2 level 80s it didnt drop off the listed names but instead it dropped of the jeweled guard hero. More over it dropped two times in the same LDON. This is of course the takish hiz ldon. GL and happy hunting
