If this guy is the worst of the golems why did 17 people with 2 clerics, one chanter, one 60 war, 2 58+ monks, a 58 ranger, 58 bard, and others manage to kill him yet got their asses whipped by Fright? I am trying to figure this outmyself. We had ZERO deaths against Terror on our second attempt we followed the strategy to the teeth that had been given. As for Fright where do you set your camp up to pull him to? or do you charge him after first DTed person or what?
Terror is the toughest for the 3 golems, i would have to say Fright is a tad harder than Dread. all 3 golems can be killed with 30 people if the average lvl is 53.
pulling these are quite easy: have a suicidal ranger run up and get Death touched by him (18 second each DT) then have another melee run up and pull him. once he is in sight have ALL pets attack. once all pets are dead all melee rush him. if your pulling Terror though have ALL non-healing casters away because he has a cold AE of 500. with 140 cold i was still getting hit for 500 each AE and a few for 300s. Onces terror is at about 65% life have the wizards cast their lure spells only. he will resist most fire spells which mages cast but wizard lures were landing along with shammy spells, so he must not have high CR. hope that helps =)
I would like to know how to defete these trios of golems myself. I'm about to start for my epic. Would like to know how many groups should be attacking each golem. Figure everyone should be lvl 55+ Whats the best spells to cast againts them? What are they weak againts, and strong againts? I've read most of the posts, and didn't see any info on how to beat them. Mostly saw people complaining about how they look, and how hard they hit. But not how to defeat them. The warriors epics are so hard :( Also, what's the spawn rate for each golem? thanks :)
Terror is generally considered the hardest of the 3 demis because few spells work against him, and he has a powerful cold based AE. Dread and fright deathtouch, but terror does NOT.
If you know you're going to fight Terror have people bring their cold resist gear, because the AE HURTS. Bards and a lot of healers are very helpful for this fight. You will need a lvl 60 warrior, shadowknight or pally to tank Terror, the key is that they MUST keep aggro. After that, it's just a matter of killing Terror before the main tank dies and the AE kills everybody.
I just helped kill Terror as a 48 monk, though most were lvl 51+. Our fight went flawlessly and nobody died. If done right, the Terror fight is smoother than the other demi fights(which will always deathtouch at least few people).
hi, im raiding fear next week and i was wondering how many people Terror,Dread, and Fright would take? most people are lvl 48 to 60 on the raid, but most will be around lvl 54. we will probably have 30-40, that enough?
We tried him last saterday and failed. Had 4 groups: balanced and fully buffed (levels 52-60). We had just spent 10 hours in Hate and owned the place - minibosses included. He was AoE dispelling but it did not appear to be random buffs so a clicky buff item would probably help. For some reason, he did not DT the puller and did not DT in the fight. He just beat everyone down with his fists. I FD'd and called a cleric to camp. We did not try again since we only got him to 60%.
Well, each one of them are rather hard. First time we tried Fright, with 7 groups, we lost. Mainly because the int casters weren't listening. Second attempt, with 7 groups, we managed to take him out. He Death Touches, hits for about 500, and has a spell that makes you spin for a long time, but causes no damage.

But if you killed him and stole his balls, he isn't everliving :) Personally, i just like the idea that we warriors need to kill something and steal its "ball" for our epic. Also, why does he only drop one ball? Me thinks there should be 2...

#REDACTED,

We killed this guy tonight with 39 people, as with all the other golems. He is very easy if you get clerics to group heal, and get everyone to Cold Resist. I didn't take one of his 500dmg AE's for the full damage and I had 165 cold resist. He does hit in 400's so watch it. He is pretty easy, but a lot tougher then the other two golems
this guy IS a bi$ch, we just took him down with 34 people, took 2 tries, got him down to the 'T' in his name the first time, and the second time there were only 3-4 of us left standing at the end, I died and had to mem a nuke and come back in and fight, and by the way he is level 55, not 60, he conned blue to my 56 wiz. And i didnt see him DT once, but maybe it was a fluke
he beat the hell out of 45 of us, as did dread. fright was easy. this guy has an aoe that reaches SOOOOO far, cold i think. wiped all the casters out in a couple seconds.
He is VERY magic resistence (all but lure line etc etc). He procs a 400( yes its 400) point cold based aoe very often. And contrarey to what you people been saying as of late, HE DEATH THOUCHES NOW. He will agro cazic, not the other golems though. He almost always hits for 360-450 and has quite a bit of hp. He IS the hardest guard of cazic. The other golems have lest hp, dont aoe nuke and hit for less. He also DOES have all of the DRACHOLITE'S old drops now. And cazics old ones are split up between the other two. Hope that helps, real info here, cleared out EVERYTHING last night with everything up and thought id share. Just remember cold buffs are the real key here.
Close. The AoE is a 500 max and debuffs (think breath style not proc). Lures will not stick reliably *at all*. He was unslowable with Tash and Malo (or we were very unlucky and had no Bard to OoS). He does not DT although his buddy Dread will. Main tank tactics prevail well although he is hitting in the 400s quite cheerfully. Cold resistance is a must as well, huge range on the AoE makes healers need to be able to stand a bit too. Probably not worth the trouble, although he certainly doesn't aggro CT. I dunno about lootwise, we got the cleric mace and some 2hs as I recall.

We cleared PoF the other night. Terror was the only Golem up. Accidentally pulled early and wiped out raid. Got back and pulled prepaired and he went down. The AoE is nasty, huge range, dispells. Stay away from AoE if you can.
