Prices appear to be falling (if they're even needed) as it's pretty easy to level up the Evil Eye Psion Shroud that has a near unresitable (-1000MR)charm. So it's pretty easy to not only get the OT hammer, but alot of old world quests for gear in this way without spending the PP for the strings.
Anyone know what item this person is referring to? I've searched alla for every variation of evil eye poison shroud that I can think of and can't find anything like this? Thanks!
It's not an item he's talking about, it's the possibility to use spirit shroud form. Hail Shroudkeeper Hyush, Shroudkeeper Learu or Shroudkeeper Nisua in PoK to change into shroud form. You will be transformed into the creature/level you have chosen and get its abilities.
There are 5(?) different shroud lines, in each line you can "level up" (by killing experience-giving mobs) and unlock the next form. Evil Eye Psion (which got the ability to charm) is the first to unlock (after the goblin rogue shroud iirc, which is one of the basic 5).
these are mainly used for getting the OT gate hammer. starts with 10 charges of allure and anyone that uses it for agro is a FOOL! ive seen em actually be sold for 300k on zeb cause OT hammer ownz that much.
Apparetnly these are apopular item for snap aggro against a mob that can't be charmed for a warrior. A friend of mine said it is a great way to start a fight and keep aggro over the first complete heal that lands.
hehe, I offered someone on Vazaelle 20k for them and no dice. Yeah, blow off a few charges on engage after one taunts then uses a hate disc on there and the mob will hump you for the entire encounter.

These do work on the forman but he is very resistant. YOu need to bring a chanter frined with you. PUll him outside town to a safe place. Have the chanter root him and then tash him. Have all the charisma gear on you can and have the chanter give you a cha buff. The foreman will resist about 50% of the time when he is fuly tashed. BUt have the gem ready to give to him as soon as he is charmed. He breaks charm very fast also so bring a few extra gems. You may go through 5 charges doing this.
Higher Level charms work on the foreman (I charmed him as a bard for turnin)...he was VERY resistant to charm though, I got a ton of resists and once or twice charm broke almost instantly...also, the spell effect says charm(16), suggesting it only works on mobs upto level 16 (which foreman is certainly above)
I know as an enchanter you can't charm vendor NPC or other npcs pets I do not dare to try other NPC as I like factions, on a PVP sever all factions help.
These can be nice if you want to do a quest and you don't have the faction for it. Iksar in particular, this can be a handy item for you, it's worth pretty much any price.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spell cast on you: You have been charmed. Spell fades: You are no longer charmed.
There's a program called EQCaster that extracts information about spells on the client side through the file spdat.eff. That's how. I keep the program handy for quick look-up of spells.
Me play a lvl 55 Warrior and well as you know warriors dont get spells other then Item effects.
these strings are fun as hell to play with, just amajine a warrior with a pet to boss around. was alot of fun confused people around me and upset a few when i made a drolvarg captin my pet and cleard a train with him.
A reasonable theory, especially since when Bristlebane spawns he spams the zone demanding to know where the Cazic Thule puppet is. Sadly he doesn't respond to hails and nothing happens if you hand the puppet strings to him. If there is a quest here, its broken.
