I got this in a Fear Raid when I was level 47. I'm currently Level 54, and I still use this regularily in my offhand. It procs reliably with my current Stats, providing a nice DOT, and on its own has a fairly decent Damage/Delay ratio. I find it very useful in LDON when there's no Necro along, as the effect combines very nicely with any other DOTs being slammed on the MOB at the same time (as primary tank with an Enchanter along, I usually have Boon of the Garou on me, increasing my Dex to the Max, practically guaranteeing a proc a fight minimum).
Situational at my level, but still genuinely useful.

Just got this weapon tonight realy cool looking next to my frostbringer they look such a cool combo now i just can't wait till i'm high enough for the 2 too start procing

this wep procs at 46. i buyed one when i was in ec tunnel payed 4k and some trades. i was 45 when i got this sword and 1 blub under 46 so i spend some minutes in SolB and WOOT at 46 this boy starts to procs. Proc is 504 dot in about 21 ticks. and i must say that mobs going now easier and very good for soloing mobs. but i think when i hit 51 or so i will sell this wep and buy other weapon because sometimes is not good to proc on mobs because of mezed mobs or something.

DDT you i would think you are the moron since there is nothing wrong with being a newb and like your name your ignorance somehow manages to get passed along. some of us happen to have lifes, and do not persecute people for not knowing as much as others.
I openly admit that I don't know everything but when i meet someone who knows less i feel it is my role to help them learn after all this game is meant to be a social game and therefore helping others comes into it. as with brain power i will let you off since i presume you have only just hit your teens and are feeling somewhat anxious about some of the changes your body is experiencing??? all i suggest is that you go and ask your mum if she remembers your daddies name and then look him up and ask him if he can explain these to you.
although im thinking that although great, advances in science have not advanced so far as to allow test-tubes to develop the required elements for speech. nor goats for that matter!!!

What the hell are you talking about? What the guy is talking about is right. A DoT is killer taunt but if fighting multiple mobs and you had to taunt off a few and they're DoT'd the means no mezz which is bad if in PoP and other places.

I've had one of these for a long time (traded a GMT for it, heh), and have used it extensively. It is pretty nice, but i usually switch it out after it procs (to centi LS for more damage). It DOES NOT have much taunting effect. You'd think it would, but it doesn't. (oh yeah, lots of fun in a duel ;p)

it's a 504 DoT over about 60 seconds, lvl 29 Necro spell. Pretty sweet ;)
According to eq.castersrealm it procs at 46, so i'm guessing that it procs at 46 :)

The GJB and Cane of the Tranquil are 25 Dly... this weapon is awesome for soloing and group taunt.

I just picked one up on Terris-Thule at level 49. Went to play around with some mobs and it started procing.
BTW--Who cares what the timer is on the dmg? I'm just using the proc as another way to taunt. Good offhand weapon if you ask me.

Nice weapon to use when Im soloing HGs, but got a Frostbringer and Lamentation, so prolly do more damage just beating on em, and kill em faster

got one last saturday it kicks ***. spiroc wing blade from the spiroc lord in plane of air looks exactly like the blood fire. a warrior wielding both would appear to have blood fire.

We got this sword off of Fright tonight in Fear. I would imagine it will also drop off of Terror and Dread.

Just went on a Fear raid with guild lastnight, March 16th 2001, and the Dread Golem was wielding it. I know this becuase i happened to get the weapon. Just thought i would pass onthe new info since hate and fear planes have been altered. Happy hunting all

This sword is unbelievable, I play a 53 war on Tunare and I love my blood fire. It is 11 damage and 24 del (which translates to 16 del with my CoF) and procs at least 4 times per fight for me. Its proc does 30 damage a tick for exactly 2 minutes, for 504 damage. It has an unique graphic and is war only ) Works nicely, I will probably continue to use it until i complete my epic... then it and blood point hit the bank.

this sword used to be the best sword in the game for warriors. before kunark, this sword was the best of the best, and only comes from the god of fear himself. seeing as cazic is not so easy to drop, this sword is proof of ones abilities and experience
