How often do scales usually drop, from this or any dragon? I decided to finally finish warrior epic 1.0 (because I can now, lol), and have not seen any drop yet. Wizards staff, mask, and others have dropped. So, I'm curious to know, from those that did all this before, how often scales drop.

Does anyone know of a spawn time for this guy? I am working on my Warriors epic and it is my understanding that he drops the Green Dragon Scales that I need for his 1.0.

Duo'ed this one with 85 monk using t5 cler merc. Merc ended fight with 95% mana.

Killed today w/ 84 wizard(me), 80 bst, T4 Tank Merc & T2 Healer Merc. Couldn't land ANY spells on him. Tried Fire, Frost, Magic, and Lure damage spells; nothing worked. Engaged him w/o any adds in the middle of his platform. (His dog was an easy 2 nuke burn, it must have around 25,000 HP) I had to burn Hoskar with just the 2 mercs & beastlord. Healer went oom around 15% of Hoshkar. Used beastlord to heal until he went oom around 8% of Hoshkars health. Finished him off after that easily. He was slowable with Sha's Legacy.
Hope this helps bored Norrathians who enjoy killing old world stuff still.

well, i went down to kill him last night with my journeyman 3 merc, and failed horribly. i got this guy to 10%, and then out of no where it says, "you have been touched by an unknown force, you have been hit for 100,000 damage."
WTF happened?

Ok a lil info on this guy. I dont think he is leashed to the room , i tried this guy today and he came out of the room ,went at him with 76 paladin 17k and 2300ac fully buffed,76druid,75monk. max hit on me was 1200, he does quad but rarely quads 1200`s was more like 663,763,1203,903 type of hits. i found the best way to do him is clear up to him and clear the guardians of hoshkar. Then have a rampage tank off tank the pet while rest work on him , and as the previous posts suggests dps is a must. His(hoshkar's) spells isnt to much to worry about with a good healer. withthe 3 toons i used to go after him i did fail but i did get some good info for the next time i go after him.

I soloed this as cleric 80 and didnt drop scales waste of my time... blew expd recovery for nothing... and armor drops is total crap ... raid mob with that stuff oh come on... dont waste your time on this mob sucks and if not down in 30min you get respawn adds... Ive raided sol and mmm ... this is by far the LAMEST raid mob drops ever ... and didnt drop scales which i needed...
At your lvl .. 80 .. and killing a mob that was a Raid mob 7-8 years ago. Are you new to this game or did you forget that when this mob came out on a good day Max Hp's for a tank were prolly 2-2.5k and Godly AC was 750-900.
You should have checked here before you wasted your time killing it, seeing the mobs loot table could have saved you some time. And for casual players some of the drops in the zone are nice. 135 AC Pri-Secondary pieces .. 41% haste shoes and back piece, daggers with snare proc ... healing and DD clickies.
Not everyone buy's their plat or groups for mad Experience and vendor fodder. Some of us still play the game for fun the way it was intended.

owned last night as of *12-19-03* made a fun run to vp with 6 (war,brd,rog,shm,cle,rng)
drops included
-- 2 pairs of suede boots (1 rotted other went to cleric i believe)
-- 1 Fatesealer (went to rogue)
not too hard of a fight, single group doable with a bard to nuetralize his 1.2k AE
we had like 2 adds also, what a baby.

My guild and i have raided VP many times and every time we droped this bad boy he droped a green scale my 2 cents is that he drop rate is better then sev's where we have killed 9 sevs and out of 9 sev's only 3 scale's win we are for 3 hoshkar for 3 scales are guild war's are set and will never fear of not geting a geen scale agn love this mob
Hoshkar has a mean EA if if an add you can just say camp clerics the add just is 2 much with him win you atk him you need to laydown the dmg on him fast dmg disc right off the bat do not hold any thing back safe your MB wizzys in tell like trhe mob is 25% then burn away and bang ***** is down
