Spent 2-3 hours a day for 4 days killing all the Icepaws in 3 rooms and have not gotten one of these spells. Also have not seen Shroud of Pain. Gems are great though, so I'm staying.

according to my knowledge and common use of Allakh and other sources for info, dont ever just listen to the "this item is sold at merchant" lines. It is VERY common for people to get bad information and place it in these scripts, takes 1 person to sell to the merchant, 1 person to see the merchant selling it - then posting a message to upgrade the spell info, and 1 person to change the script to confuse 5k people about where the item may be obtained.
check the merchant... if he doesnt have it use the other ways or receiving what you are looking for.

where in pop libary?
If anyone found it in Library, I believe it must have been sold to a vendor by a player. while several formerly *drop-only* spells are indeed now sold in the library, as far as I have been able to assertain, this one is not sold there. Nor is it listed among the spells regularly sold by Nimren Stonecutter in Thurg.. if he had it, he probably got it from a player as well.
If it can be confirmed otherwise, I would be only too happy to be mistaken about this.. but so far I believe this is still a *drop-only spell.

This spell is not a static merchant item. The only time you'll find this on a merchant is if a player received the spell as a drop, then sold it.
We picked up 3 or 4 of these while camping the Crystaline Shardwurm cave in GD. Seems to drop regularly in there.
