If you need a drop off a lower level mob, this spell is great. Just get a huge train following you and let them all have it. One of that huge group is bound to have it
chain upheaval

Hmm i would love to have a full group of cleric's with this spell and all the Barrier line of spells up. have the first caster use upheaval followed by a barrier next caster do the same keep doing this between the group and you will not use much mana ea. once you have killd a zone just walk to the next one and do it all over agean.

anyone know if this will work or has it worked? in the past?
Unlimited

Not for quad kitting this spell will hit for 725 AE. There is not cap on how many mobs it will hit at once so its unlimited. My personal record is 27 at once. Takes a while to loot all those mobs too, lol.

You can get this spell by turning in others too

as are in the effect. was playing around in misty thicket and got every mob I could aggroed on my 57 cleric (except for the goblins that figth with the orcs) and then took them out with one cast of upheaval. It was quite a sight.
Not Quadding

It's not for quadkiting, since it's a PB AE. That would mean you'd have to stand in the middle of the pack of mobs and get smacked around.

This spell is mainly used for AE groups or for pharming. My favorite use is rounding up elementals in Twilight Sea and then killing them all at once. You can also use it in FG to kill shrooms if you are in an AE group.
A good use for this spell?

This spell has the same effect as starstrike but costs alot of mana to cast and since it is an AE spell will almost surely attract the attention of mobs. Anyone think of a good use for this spell by a druid in a group? Soloing you might use it to start a fight but everything would aggro on you instantly...that definetely doesn't sound good!!

Thanks in advance for any info you can share on the tactics associated with this spell.

Couple weeks ago I was swarm kiteing with a friend showing his bard how to do it, after he got the hang of it started haveing him kite with my cleric grouped for tow and rez (with 40-70 mobs 1 hit is about all it takes to need a rez lol) well I got board waiting for the bodies to drop to start looting and loaded my 1st 2 AE's just to see if it's work, stood where he ran over me and timed my AE's =)
Well now when we group for swarms I wait till they are at about 75% health and start alternateing my 3 largest AE's every other circle lol, really helps bring em down.
Just make sure there's none that are still full health lol, and hope bard don't go down cus devine don't cast fast enough lol.

Safe hunting, and remember proper farming is done with dark blues =)

Nope not for quadding, it's point blank (PB) it hits all mobs in your direct surroundings with a big blast. And it range limited not limited to the number of mobs. get a friend pull 30 low lvl mobs all to him and let him stand next to you. If they all have arrived let cast this spell and see the havoc it does.

For quadding at this lvl use lightning blast.

best use for this spell is when assisting on a cc raid and the group you are responsible for has a real bad pull. Step ext to them and cast it. Most mobs are dead instantly or have lost half their hp. YThe rest of your mana you can save for heals and getting them ready for another pull.

I would not mind using it in a dungeon either when there is a bad pull and the cleric has to camp. (but casting time is just a bit too long) you could get a while all the agro so that they won't agro him, and die an honorable death.

Nothing is as rotten as monks reporting that he sees the corpse of the cleric.
