Did a video playlist series showing all the parts of getting the Emp SSRA Key as well as the Bane weapon quest you will need to do if you're melee and want to hit him. Hope this helps out. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGpIE-P7J-_wsi8FmW7mb6hWWkrDb2wE6 Emp SSRA raid was full of strategy. You have to lockdown 6 accessory targets I believe. 3 can be mezzed and the other 3 have to be slowed and offtanked. If the accessory mobs die, they'll just respawn. Then Emp SSRA has a tank buster than just annihilates your main tank's HP.
Killed this mob today on Tunare, 9/15/10 at 3:45 am eastern time. Trigger did not spawn for over 2 hours after Emperor appeared and what popped was the "Ssraeshzian Blood Golem" and NOT "Blood of Ssraeshza" (who was probably killed earlier). Anyway, we killed the blood golem and Emperor still went active 1 minute later. Nearly a 6 minute fight with 3/85 and 1/84 (clr, dru, beast, war)+ 2 tier5 mercs and no bane weapons. No kickbacks or debuffs and only 1 spin the whole time with the other named lizards beating on us.
Advice: If you see "Blood of Ssraeshza" up then don't kill it if you don't intend to kill the Emperor. If you do intend to kill the Emperor then don't kill "Blood of Ssraeshza" until Emperor appears.
We have two boxed (85 Enchanter and Druid, 82 Warrior, and A 77 Druid)and used two merc healers on this guy three times. This time he resisted all our spells cast on him. Plan on getting debuffed, and spun many times. He finally dropped White Ornate Chain Bridle; along with Acrylia Handled Broadsword, Envenomed Moccasins, Spell: Spirit of Khati Sha,and Spell: Deathly Temptation.
Question and someone with good knowledge i would like if they replied.
I got my 78 BST & cleric merc into the room via secret way to get thru locked door w/o having key, or rogue.. anyways.. I have never gotten to explore the old zones so I am doing that now since my bst is 78 with 1.1k aa and fully raid geared. I got into the emperor's room, noticed a golem and a bunch a named snakes. I killed off the snakes, then got the golem down to 46% then all of a sudden the snakes re-appeared. Did i do something wronge? I was short on time so i gated out with the golem at 40% and all the snakes were back up and i didnt get a chance to loot anything i had killed, was kinda a bummer. I noticed most of my buffs were gone which didnt bother me because i was taking very little dmg. I have asked on my server for someone thats bored to walk me thru the older zones just so i can say I've Done It ya know.. Anyone willing to talk me thru it on this post? Thanks anyone.

Snakes respawn in approximately 1min after their death, so no point in killing them, you just have to deal with them. Once the Emp room is engaged the port in room traps become active, with 14+ buff dispell, knockback, and 16K+ DD ones. Porting in after room is engage pretty much equals death even with top-end geared ppl, unless they make it out with just 1 16K+ DD nuke trap and knockback, unbuffed.
Emp is 100% Magic-Resistant, so your slows won't land (Only Shm Disease-based slow lands), while his other resists are fairly high, and he is only affected by bane weapons (Pet melee also affects him). Your pet is going to be your best and probably only DPS against him, unless you're going to melee him to with bane weapons, while off-tanking the snakes as well. It'll be a very long fight, as the bane weapons have terrible by todays standard ratios, and even considered group level for the Luclin era.
You'll also want to keep the Rage of Ssra cured with RGC on you and your pet to keep the DPS level up. Keeping aggro and keeping your Clr's mana up will probably be the determining factors, as the snakes will want to jump on the clr for healing. I think the rest is pretty well covered in the linked guide. Good luck.
I was told how to do this by a monk on another server who had just figured it out, i tried it and yes it ABSOLUTLEY worked. Its real quick and easy.
First youll need a brownie illusion clicky NO other illusion will get you thru the grating no goblin gnome shrunk version of yourself will work ONLY BROWNIES can get through, secondly you will need to be able to FD or have someone FD for you (though technically its not required)
So kill blood get emp to spawn, shrink up and either kill the adds or deal with them beating on you while you wait for emp to become active.
Next when he does the little blood river in front of his platform has 2 grating (sewer) like areas left and right of emps platform pull emp (while in brownie illusion) in there, it will take a few seconds for him to get there as its too small for him to fit but his body comes while his head is sticking in the ceiling.
Now if you can FD simply FD and wait for the adds to go back to their spawn point, as emp NEVER moves from where he was de-engaged so he gets pulled somewhere he stays there until reaggroed and pulled.
If you can FD you can always kill the adds one by one (it would be wise not to let your merc out as he usually gets height bugged (due to low healing in the sewer) and goes to the unaccsessable room next to the sewer (the jail cell) and if adds aggro the merc healer you wont be able to get to them so keep yourself alive while you plow the 8 gimp adds dead (if you cant fd that is)
Now that the adds are taken care of (either fd'd or) emp will be solo and ready to kill proceed to do it and bam a little bit later you get your loot. I found toggling the merc from passive to efficent while waiting for a slow to be cured (usually takes merc 3 seconds once put to efficent to cure) or get a promised to heal, is the best to save its mana for the long fight.
I have a void D lvl teir 4 journeymen merc, i dunno how exactly mercs work, but toggling between efficent and passive to save merc mana when promised gets it. Usually i dont have to toggle until the slow gets cast then thats the first thing he removes then casts promised.
So attack emp merc on efficent, get down in health to get the merc to cast promised, hit passive once promised is on you, wait a bit and youll get the slow from emp, switch to efficent and the merc cures the slow first then will cast promised again.
If you have good enough gear/aa's it is usually timed about right that youll need one promised renewal about ever time emp casts the slow so it is a pretty good timed set up
How does this fight stack up these days? I currently three box a Paly (70), Chanter(60s), and Druid(60s)... group/bazaar geared (paly is about 10k HP 2k AC unbuffed), would I have an impossible time, challenging time, easy time trying to take him? Any input is appreciated :)
we did this encounter last nigth and found out what are the basics needed for this
1 tank (with AE agro) at least SoF tier 2 to offtank the 8 adds 1 shaman to slow the mobs ( or an ench and get a lower geared tank if only need to offtank 4) 1 cleric with all cure AA + RGC 1 DPS of your choice (id sugest rogue ranger or monk for personal reasons =p ) a lil of crazyness to add to trip cause its a really boring fight ,he did drop the bridle wich we were going for.
8 people, about a 17 minute fight, fight is alot about cures, druid, sham, and cleric all curing, I the ranger tanked Emp, had a beast tanking all the adds, and a rogue and necro dps'ing. he dispells haste on tank which is a big annoyance, and the agro reduction is a pita. very resistent to magic, fire lands best, cold also good and as for the flagging pieces, at the end about 4-5 shissar wraiths spawn, each drops like 8 pieces for the VT key, anyways, its enough for a decent force. questions, send me a message
I know that if you fail the emperor and kill the golem the Emp resets and becomes untargetable about one hour after hes no longer engaged. The door to his room wont open from the inside, at this time, but the blood hasnt respawned. Will finish this post with a confirmation of respawn on blood and if the door is then able to open from the inside....... after 3 hours the golem respawns. At this point the event is redoable. Just trying to post some usefull info that i dont see here.
I have seen posts that emp spawn time is 5 days, 6.5 days, 7 days, 7 day with +-12 hour window. We killed him last Monday. It's now almost 8 days and we've been in SSRA since 6.5 days. We were in SSRA around the 5 day spawn time but not very often until 6.5 days upon which we spent non-stop in there.
I know he shows up as a grey con on track cause of the previous weeks kill but we also went in to check just to be sure.
Also, I am under the impression that Ssraeszhan Blood Golem is up 4 hours after Blood of Ssraeszha is killed regardless of emp kill or not and then remains up for 7 days until it despawns and pops up blood again which in turn starts the emp pop sequence?
So what exactly is the correct information about blood's and emp cause this is driving me nuts!
Many different posts on the fact if the Golem's Death spawns him or he has to be on track to kill, but only targetable after Golem kill. Read on RPG that Golem is the trigger mob. Any reliable info on this would be nice.
You need to kill either the Blood of Ssraeshza or the Ssraeshza Blood Golem to trigger the Emperor going targetable after 3-5 min. So, make sure 1 of either Blood is on track + Emperor. Emperor is up immediately on zone/server reboot, Blood pops a while later.

Organized raid can bring him down. My guild have done him twice in the past month with no death first time and only one death second time. Aside form the huge HP, he's rather easy to deal with.
There are 8 snakes that needs to be dealt with and for best result they are not to be killed. Bards and chanters are in one group to keep the 4 snakes that can be mezzed out of comission. Second group contains a couple tanks, slower, and cleric to keep the other 4 snakes that can't be mezzed busy with hate aggro. Slow helps with the healer keep up with the tank.
The rest of the raid takes care of the golem to get Emp to come, then kill emp. Onen is on RGC duty to keep the tanks from getting killed with curse, and cleric CCH the MT. If someone important drop dead, they are dragged to the hall near the east room for a rez.
PS the dead tank did serve its uses: (name removed since I didn't bother to get permission to use it)
tank's corpse rises to serve necro1 tank's corpse rises to serve necro2
Only person to die on emp, and still keeps fighting, nice to know necrophilia still lives on.
My guild has only killed him 2 times now, once without help, we do it with enc mezzing the mezzable mobs and paladins off tank the non mezzable ones and them being healed and such, we only have 1 shaman who casts slow every min or so, it is rather easy to kill him just make sure that u push him into a corner and that your not in the corner, is a lot easier that way. takes maybe 15mins or so to kill him and most of the people killing this guy arent even time flagged but some have nice OOW/GOD/DOD gear now, gonna try again on him soon heheh
war 15.2k buffed (no baneweaps) 2 clerics 10k mana buffed 1 shammy 9.6k mana buffed 2 wizzies (11k mana buffed) 2 pallies 14k buffed and 16.1k buffed 1 sk rampage tank didn,t need any heals more then hot 2 ench 1 rog druid
Dropped him the other night with 16. 70 wiz 60 cler 70 cler 70 war 70 monk 70 pally 70 enc 69 cler 70 cler 69 druid 70 pally 70 druid 66 sham 70 cler 70 cler and a 70 ranger. Was about an hour fight to kill Blood and Emp. Enchanter was able to mez all for mezzables most of the fight. Warrior was ma had 2 healers on him, 2 pallys and ranger off tanked non mezzable and the mezzables as well when enchanter went oom. Most of us were time/qvic/mpg trial geared. Nothing hits particularly hard. Dropped Azaliil Ring, Koadic's Robe, Envenomed Moccasins and a few spells.
We had enough for the 30 of us that beat him tonight. I think maybe after you beat the emperor the wraiths spawn with as many PR's as needed. Not positive, though.

Edit: Wrong mob... was Rhag'Mozdezh who dropped this, not the Emperor at all, sorry.
Emp is harder than any raid mob in VT.....VT raid mobs are simple the hard part is getting keyed and then getting around...VT itself once you have CoH bots set up is easy.... But that being said emp isn't too hard. It depends on the number of ppl you have lvl and gear wise.
If you aren't very far into lucin/raiding I would suggest raiding more SSRA mobs, deep mobs and seru(btw seru is easy infact he's been groupable for a long time.....the hard part is the lag and adds......) and gear up some.
Doing HP in SSRA should give you a taste of what the emp is like and if you can do HP you can probably do emp.......
Very, very hard, after all Emperor Ssra (along with Lord Seru I guess) was the top boss of that expansion.
The Emperor fight can be pretty tricky as you not only have to kill him but at the same time have to control a crowd of several additional snakes (it's been a while I did this, can't exactly remember how many, around eight I think).
These adds will respawn right away if they are killed, so you have to zero-damage offtank.
And even if you can control them, slaying the Emperor is a chapter on its own - so is even getting to him.
Emperor Ssraeshza is immune to pretty much any kind of melee damage, except Shissar Bane weapons. So you need a good lot of nukers to whittle him down unless you want to spend many weeks acquiring the bane weapons.
Emperor has a ton of HP. Okay, it's always hard to say if the Luclin mobs have actually many HP or just regen fast, but if you have done Vhyz'dra the Cursed before, take his HP x 2 and you have Emperor. Of course, due to the fact that melee output is very reduced in this fight my view there might be blurred. Expect his HP to be at least 500,000 though.
Emperor hits quite hard for a Luclin mobs. I think it was around 800 max. Once every 60 seconds he will smite your tank with Rage of Ssraeshza. So try to time it when it's coming so your healers are ready. Also have Greater Remove Curse ready after it hit and remove it from your tank. Diminutive Stature is his second proc which he casts randomly. It makes your tank spin around for several seconds. So both his procs can be quite an aggro killer for your tank.
Well, that's all the help you get from me. My guild (quite well Luclin equipped back then) needed 50 people to take him down the first time.
only hard part about VT is clearing to the bosses.....once you get some mage bots set up it's EZPZ!!!!!!! Emp and HP are both harder than VT bosses(really VT bosses are push overs)
