all the bloodgills came out of lake , then very shortly after the sky went red and up come Faydedar. had the whole zone trying to kill him.
and he also has one nasty fear spell, very large
range.

Seen this also, and don't know the reason for his spawning there. At one point there were 255 people in the zone trying to kill this thing. All I saw were dead bodies all around me. He nearly killed me twice even though I never attacked him becuase of his aoe spells. For being of the ring of scale faction he cons ready to attack which is odd. All other dragons con amiably to me *shrug*

The reason he was there was because of a GM event, things happened all over the place, he doesn't spawn there normaly, just on special occasions =)

GM's never confirm that. And it all depends on party makeup. There are things in Sebilis that would make Faydedar pee his pants.

Hey I posted the original post giving the 3 toughest and Mayong used to be in game as extremely rare spawn (about 20 minutes every EQ year.) But now he is GM controlled.

In game lore, it talks about some Captain Irontail that had been given a great sword called Storm Sabre. Then he went to fight in the Timorous Deep and was defeated by an army, including dragons. Since this guy has the same faction as dragons, isn't it possible that he drops this sword. I have no idea, just wondering...

Seems identical itemized to nagafen, but doesn't mean he doesn't have something unique that's pretty rare off him.

We have killed him religiously whenever the boat sinks, which is quite often. May guess is probably 3-4 times a week or so.

The reason that you can't bind there anymore is because that you used to be able to bind there but they changed it. I bound there be4 they changed it. He always despawns after a hour. He has been killed on a server. I saw a pic of him dead. (YAY! Take that you lil freak!) As for 50+ ppl ready to go, when It says that they are gonna repop the zone, you can get yer guild there within like 40 mins and then go after him.
Oh, and he drops the same stuff as Vox/Naggy, so if yer guild can kill him every day, not only will ppl who have been killed by him will be grateful, but everyone will have onbe of the those Vox/Naggy items.

They decided that it would be unfair to let people bind in the pot room, and a lot of people were doing it. They changed it so that you couldn't bind there anymore, but if you were already bound there, you stay bound there (unless you re-bind elsewhere, which would be foolish). Hope that cleared it up for you Sifa.

I believe that this fellow now drops a combination of Naggy/Vox items, including the books needed for the FA quest. This was done, of course, so that level 53+ characters who are no longer able to kill the dragons themselves will still be able to earn a Fiery Avenger of their very own.

He was killed on August 3, 2000 on Erollisi Marr. Just thought I would let you all know. I was told it took 5 guilds to do so, however I dont know how many people it took it could have been 20 lvl 60s or 40 lvl 50s, I dont know, sorry.

This guy has definitely been killed (at least once) or Erollisi Marr...when he dies a message is broadcasted throughout all zones...something about his blood seeping out into the waters as he sinks to the bottom of the timorous deep...very poetic indeed.

He spawns right after zone repop or patch and is only up for an hr. But from what i have heard....he isnt spose to be that tuff. i heard that 3 groups took him down

From what I have put together he does exist and his path takes him near the good side of the zone. He will spawn, travel and despawn an hour later from all accounts I have read.
His loot table is similar to the dragons (Vox, Nafagen).
I have no desire to see this beast as I am bound on the spires and have full access to the room below. I do not believe I am safe up there as I have also read he will cast at those flying over the water as well as in the water.

I'd consider yourself lucky that you haven't encountered it yet... knowing the level and agro range of Feydader, you'd be dead in seconds...
Oh yeah. TD is a VERY large zone, but to my knowledge he is sort of a guardian to the firepots.

i walked away from encountering mr. Faydedar. basic monk tatics and a fishbone earring. Boy was he Argo from o i would say about where cabilis is to the actual fob pit. i was like O DEAR when i saw him from that distance . In the time it toke my roomate to run into my room faydedar was hitting and kicking and casting magma. 1/2 luck 1/2 skill was the only way i lived to tell the tale. Sorry if it was not more dramatic very very sleepy :P I would have got screen shots but well i was sinking to the bottom of the Deep after my first FD =)

He is part of the Ring of Scale (Dragons), same faction as veeshan's peak. The magma-based spell you were hit by is his AE LAVABOLT.... Just so you know thats the 49 magician bolt spell... wut a punk.

i was riding around in one of the little rowboat dinghy things in TD looking for this critter, because being in those makes you con indifferent to everything. when i found him, he was going at it with one of the shuddle boats, and he was getting his *** kicked! i just wanna say that whoever put a lvl on the shuddles is off, i think theyre lvl 60...but anyway, i never saw faydedar again, and i never seen a shuddle come alive again, so no one believes me. but its true i tell ya, true!

Oh yeah, he can see Invis. He generally hangs out near the pot room. Im bound there, and I usually pick him up on track when I am in there, for those few seconds at a time :-) Have seen several dead people in pot room, assuming Faydedar got em.

Does invis work on this guy at all? I'm very tempted to try for the teleport pots, but not if I'm guaranteed to die on the way to or from. *shudder* My poor little level 28 body can't take many 250 dmg hits!

LOL LOL LOL, I was quite surprised to come here and see that particular screen shot posted, because I've seen it before. It's on a friend of mine's computer, and he shot it right before he respawned. That's his corpse laying beneath the creature. Lol...he likes to boast being the first toon ever to be killed by it. A dubious honor, to be sure.

I was heading to see the firepot room, I've never seen it to this day. I was levitating and running with Jboots to the SW corner... I was in Full Screen mode taking a picture as I saw the pillars sticking up out of the water, Then fire surrounds me, (magma based spell) I am feared, then hit for 250 DMG, dead 39 wizard hehe (I'm 49 now.. REVENGE ~*~Raid ala dead fishy~*~ >=)

I was swimming in Timorous Deep, cuz i fell off the boat for about 1.5hrs and not once did I see this thing, but the way people discribed him after i reached land i was quite hesitant to get back in the water...
