Me and my friend killed one of these guys while down there looking for the power of water for his mage epic, well he dropped a thing called a Spectral Pestle it is Lore No Drop and doesn't have any stats so I was thinking it might be for a quest or something....If anyone knows anything about this I would like to know about it.
Rangaard Illtemper 51 lvl Cavalier on the Innoruuk server
The Spectral Pestle is for the Shaman Cann2 Spell Quest. now you just need the clay, bone chips and the Yun shaman powder, followed with a 70+ alchemy skill and your well on your way to selling that spell to a desperate shaman that want's that spell.

I was in EC the other day just lookin to find a Sionache's partisan (spelling?). When I saw something auction, "Shield Of Spectral Essence" So I sent him a tell and asked the stats, I was like WOW! Then I asked the price, it was only 1500pp! So I bought it hoping to use it on my necro. But then again I am on Zeboxurok so everything cheap as heck. Did I get a good deal??
Im not sure on the price. But i was in EC getting stuff back for my necro (corpse loss) I had 2k plat to use. Not much to work with.
I got alot of stuff and had only 400 plat left. There was this guy sitting there selling off some stuff. Bags of stuff. So i took a look. I saw this nice shield and just figured id inquire how much he wanted, thinking it would be in the thousands. He told me 200 plat. I *gasp* and quickly hand him the 200 plat for the shield before he changes his mind.
I almost had a heart attack when i see EQprices listing this thing for 4k. woo woo
I went there at 24 to see if I could get a shield from someone and the Iksar version of this d00d was dead in the entry way. I checked it out and it had a Spectral Pestle on it, any idea what this is for, its a lore item, no drop. Any idea what this is for?
Thanks, Dzaka Iksar Shaman of 24 Moons Past Torvonnilous
I am a level 34 cleric who had the good fortune of dinging to 35 while in Kaesora. I went in with 2 guild groups. One was a 30-40 level group (of which I was part) and the other was a upper 40-low 50 group. During our entire time in Kaesora (8 hours on a Sunday afternoon and evening) we saw only 3 others in the zone.
This is a relatively unknown zone, which may be why it has an exp bonus attached to it (18% I think), so I would plan ahead. You most likely will find the zone deserted.
Be careful of the pulls. Even though the level of characters in our groups went all the way up to 52 we managed to get wiped out when the entire church group came down on us. Individually, they aren't bad. 20 at a time is another story...
In answer to your question about how hard the mobs hit I can give you a good idea, since I am also a mid 30s cleric. I have decent AC and when I was hit (this depends on the mob, of course) it was usually in the 30 to 60 range.
I think you guys, saying the spectral shield drops from them, are confused. The Guardian of Xalgoz drops the shield. I doubt such a nice item would drop off a plentiful and wandering creature that isn't even that high in level.

I don't know where these spawn exactly, but several times upon taking a peek into Kaesora I was attacked by one of these right at the entrance (literally immediately upon zoning in from FOB). Was way too low to deal with them at at the time, but I think it miht be time for some payback now, especially knowing what kind of loot they drop. And hey, if it still looks like I can't handle them, the exit's right behind me. Can't lose.
It's called a Dusty Ransackers Pack. 8 slot NO LARGE items. Lore. reduces weight by approx 1 weight per item I.E. If an item weighs 8 punds, it will reduce the item to a weight of 7. Pretty neat looking but crappy if you are a monk who can afford tink bags. The No large aspect can get annoying, but really, how many of us actually have 7 other backpacks FILLED with only large items? Exactly. nuff said
they drop 1 bag 8 slot 30% reduce nice for a monk who is to lazy to get a EE bag or a LBS i got one when kurnark came out and sold it for 300pp proly 150 100 now nuff said
This one is better for a higher level monk. This weighs 0.4 the ee bag weighs 3. This would be better for the average toting around bandaids n shurikens. At least until you can afford a tinkerers pack.
Besides, it's not as though you have to choose ONE bag. Since many are lore, you end up with one of each. This bag is handy for a monk (or for her poor cleric hubby who has to tote all her stuff around) but of limited use. Not too many heavy medium items to worry about. Still, better than a regular old sack
I have been fighting down in Kaesora recently and noticed that these guys actually come in two flavors. The picture as posted above and an Iksar ghost.
This mob sometimes drops a bag, it's a weight reduction bag, 4 slots, don't remember the percentage of the weight reduction but it's better than nothing. Drop seems pretty common, maybe about 2 bags out of 5 kills
