The top frog himself, he is found deep in the depths of Lower Guk, and is guarded by Guk knights I believe. The king is a paladin, and has a ton of hitpoints.

The Enanameled Black Boots should probably be listed on the loot table for the "Darkened Ruins" version of The Froglok King.

Just soloed him as a self buffed (Except for a 32 pt DS from a pot) level 56 Shadowknight.
He had a shaman healing him and his own heals. I had 90% HP left and 60% mana. Defiant gear helped, but otherwise only equipped with mid grade bazaar gear.
Was fun seeing the old zone again.

Hmmm... if the ghoul lord and froglok king always fight, why dont normal frogloks and ghouls fight????

Easy Kill 62 Epic Oger Bl soloed all mobs to him Single Pulled king to Hall and it was all over Had Crown
This guy was very easy. Maybe luck? Anyhow myself 56 pally and my gf 52 warrior took this guy out no prob. I used cease and Force of Akera to keep his casting down with no prob. I myself was only self buffed with a kei and gf had a Virtue. HE DOES NOT HAVE A TON OF HP!! Don't know who started this but i'm afraid its just not true. Slightly worse than ur average mob i'd say. Neither of us dropped below 80%. However we also killed "the Ghoul Lord". Much harder fight left me with 10%. Just something to think about.

You obviously weren't around when Lower Guk was one of the top dungeons in EQ. I would wager the statement you so graciously denounced was made at this time. Just a thought.
Well to be exact... he does not have a ton of HP.
He does, however, heal himself a ton and have LoH, so it can seem that he has a ton of HP.
If you can chain stun his HP seem much less.
In Pre Kunark days this was the place, both for long lines and loot. :)

I went in with my 46 enchanter, a 49 shaman, a 51 warrior, a 48 ranger, and a 51 cleric.
In 5 hours, we saw him 3 times. 2 crowns and a M2H. The best way to kill him is to mez him soon as he pops, then hit him with simple mind, and mana sieve him 4 times. Throw on a mem blur then set loose the tanks upon him. He won't do ANY casting at all.
By the way, this works well on the Tactician, too.
At level 46, I had only one resisted mez all day. I don't know if that's because they have a low resistance to that or if it's because I keep my charisma higher than my intelligence (216 int, 218 charisma)

i am now a level 33pally. i had this weapon since 22. r they really worth almost 1 k? i ngot this from a close friend when i was diein from shadow men in wc. i yelled for some people to come help. he came there and hit them 150hp very fast. he told me that i need a better weapon that a nathsar greatsword ( guildie let me borrow). so he just gave me the weapon. im level 33 and at 32 i hit for 67 ( max) usaully round 55. i like the weapon but tryin to for ghoulbane to kill undead. if anyone has one willin to sell either ghoulbane, mith 2 hander, wurmy, or a cento ls im on server bristlebane. my name char is Brendo.

how often does this frog drop his crown? (getting group to kill him, hope 48 rogue, 49 enc, 45 cleric, and 41 pally are enough)
Me (Shaman) and friend (Ranger) both took on the King's chamber last night. We killed him three times, and got the crown three times.

The camp itself isnt too tough, breaking it is the worst. He or his PH spawns every 30 minutes.
A small group with 54 cleric 52 SK and 49 druid held this camp with only a few problems. Breaking it was very difficult but doable with FD.

How often does this froglok king respawn. I would like to know, so that if it wasn't that long. I would gather a group and try it out.

How often does the King Spawn? Is he a regular spawn or does his ph seem to come up more? Also is this guy resist a pallys line of stuns alot? And does he resist cold and fire attacks more when having the crown?
