Today I was running around killing pixies with my new level 7 Ranger. I made a character specifically for farming pixie dust, so that my main would not take the faction hits. After about the 10th pixie I noticed something... I wasnt taking any faction hits! I was only killing pixie tricksters in GFay, perhaps they took them off the faction table to avoid noobies killing their faction before they even know what faction is. At any rate, I'm happy because this is sure to go a lot faster with my 56 Ranger and his Bow of Doom. :)

Just had an interesting experience a few nights ago with one of these. It talked to me. That's right, it talked. That, or it was part of a storyline for a quest or something. But anyway here is the full text of what it said.

a pixie trickster says 'Adroha dabs Thelins forhead with a cold towel and looks up to you, a soft veil of concern and sorrow washing over her gentle features. Her voice is gentle and sweet in its delicate, hushed tones as not to disturb her suffering patient, 'Poor Thelin. I wonder if he will ever recover from opening the portal to the Nightmare plane. I hope he will. . . He is still strong yet, but there is only so much even the sturdiest of minds and wills can endure. All we can do is be patient and hope. Please, move along traveler. Leave our suffering elders to their rest.

I would have tried to find out more but unfortunately I had hit it with a DoT spell that killed it. I was running around with my Lv 13 Wood Elf Ranger, tracking spiders and wolfs for silks and pelts to work on Tailoring skill, when I dotted it. It didn't kill it right because I then ran past it after a black wolf I saw behind it. Thats when the text appeared, as I was going past it. Anybody ever have a similar experience like this before? Thinking perhaps it might have been some GM thing setting up for another Halloween Event being this is October. Just a thought, if anyone else has an idea, please reply.

I have noticed that if you kill pixe anything and you get faction worse with pixie it also worsens your standings with Kaladim even though it doesn't say anything about it. All of my friends could go to Kaladim for the belt quest but then I ran out of food so we went to a merchant who sells food she wouldn't sell to me. Then we went to merchant after merchant and no one would sell to me so that is the only difference in our kill history I killed Pixie Tricksters alot and they stuck with Orc Pawn and Widow Hatchlings

I think killing pixies with the pixie factions doesn't really matter, but I know killing faeries for a ranger or druid (or maybe even a pally) is definitely a no-no.

I felt pretty bad after killing a pixie and seeing it sprawled out on the ground, dead, while I was looting it. Is there a way to raise the faction with it?

I was just heading to Kelethin and I, being a lvl 12 ranger, felt the need to slay a pixie. Looted that SOB and got a copper band. Has any1 else recieved 1 b4?

Tracking rules

Think about it theres only a pixie trickster... But theres things like a variety of orcs, faeri whatever,bats ei. this looks like something related to the faere ( dunno how its spelled)

So far I've received 2 gems from fighting pixies just past the newbie pod - the jems were turquoise and lapis something-or-another. What are these used for? Should I hold onto them?

I've been getting exp from these little ladies since lvl 2, no problem. Maybe it's easier for the melee types (I'm a ranger). The loot tends to be a little better than on orc pawns.

I do have one question, though. When you kill one, you lower your faction with Pixie. Does that faction matter at all? And how do you fix that faction, if it does matter? I can't find it in faction lists.

Killing tricksters and pranksters both lower your faction with Pixie. However, pixie jonglar still con'd amiable to my druid, while the tricksters and pranksters were apprehensive.

6 pixie dust can be turned in for exp. and armor (ranger) and 2 rusty daggers and 2 gold coins turned in for better weapon (rogue)
