She drops little caster gear and what caster gear she drops never falls, unless your a mage, in which case recommend you raid her as often as possible

Hey all, last night we did an open raid on Saryn, and I can tell you this, for one, she hits weak like, heck I tanke her and im a 8.5k PALADIN, no defensive disc nothing, never went below 50%, only sad thing is that the RL Claimed the loot for herself (anything she could use) looted the Cape Embroidered with Runes an SP, said thank you (we were all saying no in /rsay) and gated! Even funnier thing is she is a Empire App on Karana lol (time guild) and one of Emp's officers at the time said its just a crappy cloak once you get EP you will see much better... to bad the EP guilds always kill RZ and MM just so we cant open raid them, and even worse, they arent recruiting... oh well sorry to rant :) Good luck all!

I'm looking to see if anyone can post or point me to a good source of info on the way to get to Saryn.
I may want to try & lead a raid to kill her but am clueless on where she spawns or what obsticles I need to go through to get to her.
I've got the info I need on getting the Saryn Key, but beyond that I'm a pretty big Newb to this encounter =(

I'll skip all the "how to get to Saryn" text and just talk about the encounter.

Saryn stands in front of a window. Whatever you do make sure you do not push her out the window. To my understanding this can cause the zone to crash. You will engage Saryn with your MT. The goal is to push her into a corner. She is a warrior and hits hard. However, she is slowable. She can be debuffed as well. I'm a level 62 Warlock at this time and all my spells landed on her save one CoC attempt.

MT never fell. Complete heal roto of course was used. All melees engaged and forced her into a corner. Every 10% or so she spawns her pet birds. 3 at a time. They are annoying more than anything. Once they spawned the entire raid minus the clerics and MT killed them. They lasted maybe 60 seconds each time they spawned. They are slowable, snareable, and have low resists. Hell, Saryn was snared! At 25% or so Sorrowind spawned which is her named pet bird. He is suposed to have an AoE Silence spell. I thought all the birds had this. At no point did it ever land on me and I never saw a resist message. When he spawns you are suposed to keep your didstance from him letting the melees kill him while you cast. This keeps you out of the way of the AoE.

When Saryn got to about 15% pretty much everyone ignored the birds and focused on Saryn. She did not last long after that. I was doing crazy dps on her and when she dies there were 3 birds left. We killed the adds.

She dropped 2 cloaks. Encounter was fun but was pretty cake. We did have quite a zerg going 70+. Gratz to all who got flagged!

can anyone offer a good strategy on Saryrn? We have future plans being formulated for this raid and I was hoping for some tips on her. Thanks

We were about to engage her and Veeshan server crashed. GM's would not respawn her. (why would they). So we got jipped by SOE. I think she is 3 days spawn after server up. We'll get her next time....

dont bother attempting her atm. the encounter is bugged and the zone crashes about 2 minutes into the fight.

actually originally balrog was M. Bison ( I guess that's a take on Mike Tyson...Mike Bison...M. Bison)
M. Bison was Vega and the Vega we know was named Balrog

but yeah, this ***** does look like Vega

Mean chick. Every so often will spawn 3 summoned birds to assist her. She has a large AE rampage and will rampage often from the beggining. This will stun you. At really low health she will spawn Sorrowsong a named bird that is big and nasty.
