Puma skin does work select experiment on the tradeskill window then place the items in the container and combine the other messege above referencing purified water is for advanced poison vials you can still make poison vials (trivial 148) by combining the ingredients listed above

Ferusal in Shadow Haven sells them for about 1pp 5gp.
Ferusal in Shadowhaven is at pos 201 neg 39, building 7 on EQAtlas map.

I'm looking to start a trade-skill, and being a rogue, i naturally thought of poison-making. Was curious as to how expensive this skill is. Heard brewing was cheap, but just needed to know how poison-making fell in with all the other trades.

You need, also, a MQ or HQ skin or pelt. As in Lion, Bear, Wolf, etc. Zombie Skins also work.

I'm just starting into Poison making, but from what I understand, most any "skin" will work, though zombie skin is very easy to get and works well. I loot tons of zombie skins in the newbie area of Innothule Swamp. Hope this helps!
Most skins will work, but you're pressing your luck with some Luclin Skins. Also, pelts of all non-ruined quality work (minus a bugged LQ Cat Pelt) Coyote Pelts will not work. You best bet is Zombie Skins, Black Wolf Skins, Puma Skins, and Wolf Pelts.
