Permafrost Crystals  

 

Don't waste time killing. Just pick it off the ground. Use Brell's maps.

Also drops from the goblin miner summoned by Eichvul.

This is also a ground spawn in perma. It looks like a pile of ****.

It just dropped off two goblins not on the list. A Goblin Prelate (as opposed to the priest) and An Ice Goblin.

I think it drops off any goblin in zone.

There are only three ice giant spawns in Everfrost Peaks, so this is not a great spot to get Permafrost Crystals.

In Everfrost Keep there are bunch of mobs that drop them. Seemingly any gobbie, or ice giant can drop them. I killed a few wolves, and cone dudes, but no blue treasures from them. There are also ground spawns which I chanced upon on occassion. The ground spawns look like a brown blob. Pretty obvious once you see them. The map coordinates can't be used as a /loc per my memory of the past. Maybe I should cut and paste the map spawn sites listed below into my map file for this zone, and then it would work (I hope).

The best drop rate was from gobbies in the jail area, where there are also a few ground spawns. But the jail gobbies quickly are killed, and all of the gobbies in the zone drop it, so just go hog wild killing gobbies. Who cares if Lady Vox or Nagafen hate you more? You don't need to be uber to farm the gobbies, but be prepared for adds. Some gobbies add and some will let you run right on by. The elites and maybe a few others near where the king spawns see invis, but no other gobbies or ice giants see invis. The cone dudes also see invis, but if you are fighting them, you are in the wrong place, and might be banished soon.

If you go for the ice giants, they are a little tougher, and run. The ice giants also have a wide visual aggro range. Stay away from where Lady Vox's room (which is kind of near the ice giants), because she banishes anyone over level 52 to Everfrost Peaks if they get too close to her lair.

I got a little over a stack of Permafrost crystals in a little over an hour.
There is no experience to be had here at all for a level 75.

this also drops off of an elite goblin guard in permafrost, which isnt on the list.

no more ice goblins or ice giants, only drakes and regular old gobbys, trying to see if drops are still the same will post info....

These are also used in Dragons of Norrath Half-Elf cultural smithing at the Journeyman level


Infact im farming them right now

I didn't think these existed but I finally got some tonight after a couple hours of killing. Gl to any of you going after these.

I did not know anybody really wanted these until someone asked... came here to see that this item is popular.

I found 3 in about 2 minutes just go to permafrost and kill all goblins in sight

Any locs or rough area where this spawns?

Eqtraders sounds like this is a ground spawn. Is it both groundspawn and dropped?

I just found another page about it on Eqtraders. It is both dropped and groundspawn.
