I am a level 61 Iksar Necromancer that wishes to spend time in Neriak. Thus I decided to do the red wine quest.
I started off buying 2 Essence of Dark Elf Potions.(150pp a peice.) Then I bought 600 bottles of Red Wine.(1pp + for a stack with 141 CHA
Next I used an invis spell to get through 2 of the zones. However, I was forced to use a Dark Elf potion in the second zone due to an even con that saw through invis. The exterminator was scowling and seeing through my new Invis. After I make it to the Neriak 3rd gate I used the potion and traveled to the library....
I gave 600 potions and my factions with the Dark Barginers is now Ally....
Dread Guard Outer and Inner are both Dubious.....
I plan to do this again tonight after I get a few ADV missions. A word of caution, even though you can walk around, be ware of the Troll and Ogre side, I am not sure what faction they are on but they see me threatlingly. Good luck to you all my dark brothersss and sssisterss.

DO NOT stack 80 Red wine in trade window with Lokar To'Biath to raise faction. Giving him 4 Red wine UNSTACKED yields the same results. But at a MUCH cheaper rate. I paid 14pp to get from Indiff to Ally

OK the faction for the Warriors guild is the Indigo Brotherhood. You can do a few quests in the PvP zone to raise that faction. Good luck my dark brother.

Hey, I'm a troll Warrior, and I deathly hate Grobb or Oggrok. I live in Neriak, but I havent been able to train since lvl 10! I'm even thinking about going back to Grobb just to train.. I was wondering if the Dreadguard are the Warrior guild inside Neriak? (The one in Neriak Commons.)

i did the red wine quest (and yes, a LOT of red wine, thousands of them, i'm not kidding or exagerrating, it costed a lot of money) and Dark Elves absolutely LOVE me even though i follow a good religion (except the guilds, but i don't really need them to love me anyway) - my faction can still get better, but i haven't maxed it yet, it appears they'll be ally to me if i do (merchants guards AND the inner guards) - start by going invis, heading to 3rd gate, go to library and find Lokar ToBaith (if i got his name right) and start handing it to him in a 12-12-12-12 fasion. Dark Bargainers will max first (all will be ally, heh heh heh don't need illusion to deal with merchants anymore) and dread guards are slow but will max eventually.

About the High Elf Enchanter, depending on your religion you can still be kos with the illusions. Been there done that hehe. Maybe the alliance and such spells will work haven't tried that yet, otherwise I'm going to be killing halflings so I can do my tashania and other quests.

well yeah with the guards they see through illusion no factin adjustment but de illsuion does let you trade with merchants

I need to get my factions up it fell down to warmly when i killed dorn b dynn once then it fell down to indifferent when i was at the zone to east commens in neriak resting and a guy came by with a guard and killed it right next to me why did that lower my faction? i have no clue but when sargeant c'orm at the ent to neriak aggro'd me thats when i got mad mostly considering i am a DARK ELF SHADOWKNIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! how can i get my factions in neriak and nektulos all straightened out again?

Ok now this is BS and I am getting WAY mad! I am lvl 46 wizzy on Seventh Hammer server and I am trying to do the Staff of wheeling quest, but Sulgar in Everfrost WILL not talk with me! I was told he runs on Beta Neutral fractions and I was told i can get that up in 3 rd gate in NEK in the Library with NPC Mizr N'Mar but HE WILL not talk to me EITHER when I gave him the 50 GP!, so then I found out that if I give Redwine to the other guy umm NPC Loka -something that it will RAISE my fractions with Mizr N'Mar but get this the redwine NPC will NOT talk to me EITHER, nor will Smith Tv' Ysa in Sro!! Nor will the Eud. in HIGHKEEP whom I am suppose to take a enchanter stone to. I am pissed how can I do my quest if I cannot get ANY fractions up with all the NPCS I need? NO GM's with help either! wtf ANYONE got a CLUE? I am a HIGHELF wizzy Agnostic. And I am lost as to what to do not to mention MAD, since I got all my RODS and cannot turn them IN now! btw YES I killed HALFINGS in NEK didn't do anything!

Go to highpass, there is a quest there. You simply turn in a gemstone to the euridite and it rasies beta-neutral. Do several stacks of gems, should be enough.

i might be wrong but i thoght Beta Neutral faction couldnt be lowered, hence the name neutral
It's true that at one time you could raise your Beta Neutral faction by the quest in High Hold, and that you could lower it by killing NPCs on that faction.

My halfling druid is warmly to merchants and indifferent to the guards. 30 GLS, 10 LS and 102 stacks of red wine.
There are still some non-guards that hate her tho.

I'm a Human Druid of Karana, and I'm a faction hound so I've done a fair amount of time here...
At least for me, the red wine quest and the GLS quest have only marginally helped me. Sure, all the DE merchants love me, but still 'Scowls at, etc...' from the DEouter/inner. I figger I'm prolly just a couple steps from '...Treateningly', but it's still KoS status. I've been padding my 1/2ling factions for a while now, and am gonna commence killing Leatherfeet (sorry little guys. =/). Hopefully this will eventually help my DGouter, but what about Inner? Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Oh, btw, I realize the uselessness of DE factions to a druid, it's just a personal quest of mine to be '...warmly' in all cities (wouldn't it be novel to see a wolf formed Druid in 3rd gate) ;) Thanks much, Good Travels.

I've gotta say that it is annoying how much it often times takes just to be able to walk into a city and live at times. And to the best of my knowledge, it really doesn't help all that much on price - my woodelf ranger has killed hundreds of orcs and pixies and done the hatchet and dust quests several dozen times each. Now everyone in the city views me warmly and guess what, I don't get a copper more for anything I sell and I don't get any kind of a price break when I buy.
I think charisma is the only thing that'll effect your prices - my enchanter made a +3 charisma neckless and I now save/earn 1 to 3 coppers per transaction.

I don't believe it's possible to be non-KOS in all cities. It would be easy enough to adjust the attitudes of the guards in certain cities to have such a hatred for particular races/classes that no matter how many times you raise your faction with them, they will still attack you on sight. It makes sense... there should be NO halfling druids able to wander through Neriak unmolested! it just wouldn't be right, from a game storyline perspective. So, my suggestion is to just get over it, you don't need to get in Neriak anyways. ;) I've given up on entering every single city except Neriak, Grobb, and Oggok (well, maybe Cabilis someday, don't want to try it just yet :P). I'm a DE; you lighties should have more places open to you... just by no means ALL places.

It sort of depends on your class and religion, but it *is* possible to get into all the cities, with enough time and effort. For instance, my agnostic enchanter, with judicious use of illusions and Alliance spells, has never had a problem. My human warrior who worships Rallos Zek was hated by the dwarves, but spent enough time killing goblins where they like her now. And she is also apprehensive in both the Overthere Outpost and in Firiona Vie. So, it's possible, with the right work.

I have heard by doing the Hafling Quest you ruin your faction with Rivervale and Druids. Rivervale i am positive of, Druids unsure. Sorry bro no warmly for all citie.

IM a lvl 12 iksar ..at first...I tried the GLS quest...the merchants were apprehensive to me..so i asked for someone to invis me right before i hit the give button...it worked...after 4 lightstones i was indifferent to them. So i started handing them the rest of my stuff...total bout 25 GLS and bout 30 lightstones. Then i ran to Neriak which i was still KOS....had a friend invis me and i made my way to the library to do the red wine quest. After bout 400 wines..turning in 16 at a time ( 4 in each box) i was finally dubious to almost all guards. I say almost because for some reason..i am still threatning to two guards...one in Foriegn quarters named Rolynn and another one in third gate near cleric guild...im sure if i keep doin the quest they will change as well. BTW..the merchants are warmly to me :)

Hehe, Use one of your most prized spells. Either alliance or benevolance will change faction standings for a while. Forgot about those?

I'm just dubious to the DEs in South Ro, yet she won't change my faction so that I can become un-kos in Nektulos (I'm a Gnome). Any ideas how I can get her to talk to me, thinking about a ball of golem clay, but I'm not sure where to get one. SO effectively you could do the inverse of this....take a DE and raise faction with other guards in other cities and NOT become KOS in Neriak?

well, I killed halflings until I was up to dubious with Dreadguard Outer, then did some lightstones in SRo and lots and lots of wine. I stopped getting any dreadguard faction after several stacks, and and when I went to con I was still KOS to Inner and still only dubious to Outer. I've heard that the lightstones and the red wine quests cap faction at the same point.

It seems there is a limit on how much the red wine quest will raise this faction. I turned in about 9 backpask full of red wine ( 16 total at a time, 4 wines in each trade slot ) about 1/2 thru turning the wines in, i stopped getting faction with the dread guads ( inner and outter ) and i am still KOS to them

The rangers only give Indigo Brotherhood and no hits for the Inner Guard. I just killed one a minute ago on my other computer. Hope to find how to raise Dread Guard faction further.

Kill rangers in Lesser Faydark raises faction with these and Indigo brotherhood, also kill halflings in nectulous i think

The red wine quest in third gate is probably the best way, if you are at least dubious with the Neriak vendors (same faction as sro gypsies) There's an NPC in the Neriak Library in the third gate in a side room, give him red wines and your faction raises with dark bargainers, dread guard inner, and dread guard outer.
