Posted: Jan 20 2002 at 5:51 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I had started a DE rogue, got to level 2 and sold all my loot for 1pp, when i was strolling back to Nektulos when... 2 DEAD guards... I lotted them, gaining a fine steel dagger and a sheild and a FS longsword (Kept the D and The shield), and then strolled back to Nektulos only to see a Human monk called CALAMITE beating the excriment out fo 2 more quards!

Read post of guy who said 34 to 40 druid could solo bb guards that is false infomation.Me also have 45 druid i tryed to ensnare one 9 resists and never was able ever to succeed.There reist is very high i have seen 52 who can dot them but they`re 100% fear resistant.Some necro was barely killing at his lvl so no way in hel- is druid going to solo one before 49 and im told they resist even then.

Erm, the guy who said the guards could be soloed by 34-40 druids was correct, in a sense. You are thinking about the dwarven guards with the axes and shiny armor and cute little helmets and.. errrr-- Yea, I'm pretty sure he was talking about the 'guards' that don't attack mobs. For example: Delin Ironblend, who can be soloed as low as 32. (At least my friend, and I, have.. I think that's her name..) And she can be constituted as a guard. So.. Yea, he's right. But I'm confused as to how something 100% resistant to fear, can be feared by a 52 Necro. If you ARE talking about the male guards at their huts, of course.

Felt like droppin a few Dark Elves one day, and wandered into the forest. I crushed a few heads when I spied a dragoon ( I believe it was Tsanne) he conned blue, so I hit him with Malise. He gave chase and I rooted him. That's when everything went wrong. He resisted the next 12 spells I cast at him. He shrugged off everyone of my DoT's and when Root broke he refused to be held sway by that spell again. I made it to the zone and made a last stand with me trusty war hammer. He was htting me for around 60-85 pts a pop ( he had a dirk on him), which is a little unnerving since I have good ac fer a shaman of my lvl. I decided to relocate to another zone before I met with the Tribunal face to face. I simply cant believe he resisted all of those spells. I guess I should have used Malisement instead.

All Dragoons have a chance of dropping the dirk.

Hmm, indigo ******...errr...raciest is a fool. The other day a 35 ranger was getting his *** kicked by one of these guys (i dont know why, must have been a long day), and the battle was very close. I stepped in, and, being the lvl 20 rogue that i am, backstabbed the hell out of the dragoon. The dragoon fell, and as a reward, i was allowed to loot the corpse...and..Lo and Behold, guess what was on it??? a DRAGOON DIRK! you can get it from these guys, but its their RARE weapon. An easy wasy to tell if they have it is to look at what weapon they are using if before you attack. If its a piercing weapon, they WILL have the dirk, Just like Dragoon Xytl in Wcomm (he has a halberd at times in place of his dirk)
BTW, why the hell do you think they call it a DRAGOON dirk???

well i know the dragoon in west commons drops the Dragoon dirk unless the one in my backpack is just my imagantion

No the dragoons do not ONLY Dvinn drops the dragoon dirk I know I eat these guys for breakfast

Hello, i'm a level 34 druid, and i was wondering if it would be good xp to hunt him?
If he has a long spawn time it really suks hunting him, so i was wondering what the spawn time was?

His spawn rate is easily predicted, I have hunted guards (solo) in this dark land (as a druid) since lvl 18, started at lava zone and worked towards bridge. Now that I typically hunt the bridge, I have found that when I clear the bridge of guards (much to the disapointment of newbies in zone), the next time I pull from bridge he is there. At lvl 36(for the third time thanks to him) I have seen him pop repeatedly with no delay after all guards at bridge were gone. Mind you all guards mean the ones that have given chase in to the zone to kill helpless mobs passing by as well.

No i would not kill him i tried killing the DE guards at LS zone at 19 and i tried killin' the dragoons as a druid later in life. botom line is they have INSANE resist so don't kill em dragoon drik doesn't make it worth it i see those go for 55pp tops in EC. If you wanna kill guards port your **** over to butcherblok those guards were MENT to be killed i doubt they were put in the game for any other reason then to be solod by
34-40players. they have like 0 resist low hp hit hard but drop axes that sell for 4pp to the woman at the druid circle everytime. watchman halv in steamfont is great xp too drops short sword each time so not worth as much avoid the ohter Steamfont guards as they also have insane resist but not halv geuss the poeple at verant had it in for him and made him prime kiting material =8)
