I am curently in the process of working on the SK epic. I found Smaka in Neriak Foreign Quarter. She is inside the building labled Bites N Pieces at loc -335, -105. I hailed her, but got no response when asked about the cough elixer. I conned Indifferent. So I just handed her the 1000 platinum peices and she gave me the cough elixer. Faction with Dark Bargainers, Dreadguard Inner, and Dreadguard Outer got better. Conns DB to a lvl 52. So im guessing the beastiary is correct in saying she is lvl 40

Since Smaka is supposedly only lvl 22-25 could an iks walk into to the city tun in the 1k for the elixir and leave, or not?

I tried to get her to give me the cough elixer before I went to find Kurron Ni. She didn't seem to be ok with that. Looks as though you need to talk with Duriek first...

I killed many DE's in my early years and cant get her to speak to me to sell me the cough elixer for the SK Epic..

Normally I do not help those who kill my people, but as you are seeking Innoruuk's Curse I shall make an exception.
I am fairly sure she's Dark Bargainers. If you can turn in lightstones and greater lightstones to the Dark Elf in S Ro, that will help. Otherwise you need to do the red wine quest. Rather than try to describe it here, just go back to the Neriak Foreign Quarter page on Illia's, and scroll down in the comments. You will see avery good 'How-to' on it.
