This spell is encripted into the ornate pattern chain opants for rangers. I am new to this so I don't know how long this has been this way. I hope this helps a few people out.

Glad to see a root that will stay on longer than 2 secs... sometimes when i casted ensaring roots it would auto break for some reason, glad to see a set duration. now only question is.... do nukes break the root?

i am a druid and this spell has lasted max. 4.5 minutes, and would break 75% of the time on a dd

I don't know of any root that a nuke can't break. It is a game of chance when using root and nuke.

Stops Summons
# Dec 12 2002 at 6:03 PM Rating: Decent
This root has the added benefit of preventing mobs who summon from summoning. I can confirm this as I used it on Lodizal who is a summoning mob.

... but did you damage it further after rooting it? Summoning mobs only start summoning once damaged about 5%, which is why our earlier Root spells woud very quickly cause us to get summoned. If you did no other damage, you wouldn't be first on the Aggro list and you wouldn't get summoned anyhow.

This is incorrect. I realize the post is old by now, but summoning mobs definately don't wait until they're damaged 5% before summoning.

I recall pulling undead with my paladin a year or so ago in pon, and I would get summoned for simply casting a fast stun intially to gain agro... and having done 0% actual damage to the mob - just adding a whole lot of hate will get you summoned.
dmg = summoned

You must inflict at least 1 pnt of damage on a mob before it can summon you. If it hits your damage shield, that counts.
dmg = summoned

I know these posts are old. But a mob doesnt start summoning until its at 96 % health. With the exception of a mob having the skill Summon the zero.

No damage

This root does no damage and does not break mez which should make for some happy Enchanters. Root the adds safely so they don't chase the chanter when mez breaks. Also this is resisted less than other roots.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 02 2002 at 1:59 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Tested this pet out in Great Divide today. With standard lvl 61 attack buffs and haste (celerity)it was doubling for 60 plus kick for about 45 at best against frost giant scouts. Regen was significant. No need for heal or slow while I had it killing everything I could target in range.
