Not sure of the logic behind this, but why does Insight (Enchanter 35 spell):

1: Increase WIS by 9 (L35) to 14 (L52)
3: Increase INT by 5 (L35) to 12 (L88)

overlay Brilliance (Enchanter 41 spell):

1: Increase WIS by 6 (L41) to 12 (L88)
3: Increase INT by 11 (L41) to 14 (L52)

I'm not 100% positive, but I assume, since Insight has more Wis and it's the first slot, is why. Lower level spells with higher stats will overwrite higher level ones. However, in general, such spells are higher on all the same slots not just the 1st one. My guess, is the first similar slot is all that is compared, and thus, the higher Wis of Insight will overwrite / block Brilliance.

Timers are the same, so that wouldn't be the cause.
