buff haste

v.1 - normal haste (sham/chanter/bard song/potion) best one used
v.2 - stackable haste (bard song/item clicky)best one used
v.3 - overhaste (bard song/item clicky) stacks with everything, increase cap

some normal v.2 would be monk epic, nalot eyepatch

once your normal haste cap is reached only v.3 will raise haste more

This is incorrect.

v1 is WORN haste
v2 is SPELL haste (which includes most bard songs)
v3 is OVERHASTE (which stacks over the 200% cap)

v1 and v2 only stack up to 100%

Example: if you are wearing 22% haste gloves, and get a 20% v2 spell or song buff, you will have 42% haste. v3 haste stacks on top of that, and will increase your cap by the same percentage. With the level 60 Bard Song, Warsong of the Vah Shir (which gives 25% v3 haste) you would then have 67% haste with the prior example.

If your v1 and v2 haste bring you to 100%, then the only thing that can increase your haste further is v3 haste.

AHHH!! I wish Troubadour's mace was for worth 3.5K on my server (KB).. Try having to pay 40K (yes, 40000pp) for one. I'm just going to get my epic, it'll take less time that way, then to make 40Kpp

now it's only on bard songs i see type of haste, v1 v2 v3... and i am trying to decide whether it is adventageous to twist in warsongs with ervajs... cuz they are two different haste types and they say they stack with other hastes. nwo sometimes reading the warsons it sounds like it simply raises the haste cap, so if your personal haste and caster haste hits toe top without going over 80% it wouldn't help, but if the combined haste will exceed 80% it will exceed it by another 25% of 80%. is that right or is it just simply 25% haste stacked on? and does ervaj songs 10-% haste just get overwritten by warsongs?...

I've had this same question forever and it's never been answered. Considering the order in which the first versions of these two songs (ervaj, vah shir) were released I personally think what happened is that Verant wanted to grant bards who reached the highest lvl of 50 the unique privelage of having the only haste effect that stacks with all other haste effects. The problem with this is that by the time someone surpasses level 50 they normally have sufficient worn haste to drive their total haste past their cap when stacked with a lvl 50 spell/song haste effect. Because of this the Melody of Ervaj was only usefull for stacking with lower level spell and worn haste effects that don't meet/exceed the cap. When the level cap was raised to 60 it became even easier to max one's haste with just one spell or song haste effect of lvl 50+ stacked with worn haste (which got increasingly better and easier to get with the release of new expansions and items). This made the Melody of Ervaj basically useless in most situations.

To remedy this SOE introduced a song with the release of Luclin that actually raises the maximum haste cap. I personally think that means just +25% to the haste cap, and not +25% haste as well because that would in no way solve the haste cap problem you run into with Ervaj (if you're total haste is capped at 80% and your song raises the cap by 25% and total haste by 25% you're total haste would again be capped at 105%), and it would make the song a little too powerful in my opinion.

So in other words I think that the Ervaj and Vah Shir songs do stack because Ervaj is an overhaste that actually adds to attack speed and Vah Shir only increases the haste cap.

I'm going to try to test my theory by parsing but this may prove to be pretty hard so I may be posting my findings in the future and I may not.
