#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 24 2003 at 6:33 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I agree, totally ripped off by SOE again, since I never planned to get a pet in the first place, this is fraudulent.
druid's too

OK, here is a new one for ya, I'm a druid lvl 59, this spell is useable to me as well, the odd thing avout it is though is that it is a lvl 44 spell for a druid since we now can get a bear pet at lvl 55, now how much sence does it really make that we only get a single pet "not till lvl 55" and we get this spell at lvl 44????? someone please try to explain the madness to me.

Just look at Shammy's who get "Tiny Companion" at 18 & do not get their pet until 29....

Druids get tiny companion at 18 also. But the best part is, CAST it on a druid pet. Makes it bigger, not smaller.

Yes but you can cast Tiny Companion on charmed pets... not the same with summon companion which APPARENTLY doesn't work on charmed pets... now that is truly lame... esp when it comes 11 levels before a druid gets a summoned pet.

This spell is expensive (over 50pp), but well worth it. If you ever lose your pet to pathing, use this to call it to your side from anywhere in the zone.

Another use is travel. I often have SoW from potions, but the pet cannot keep up, even with expedience. Have the pet guard or sit, then run to where you need to go. Summon him whe you get to your destination, and you are ready to fight, and you won't need to waste group time casting and equipping a pet. Good for pickup group situations.

The best use, though, is in dungeons in groups or on raids. Pathing is often horrid in narrow passages, and pets often get lost. Have your pet sit or guard in a safe spot, get to where you are going to pull, then summon. Again, a time and trouble saver.

Yes, would be great IF enchanters had pets that actually took commands like guard ect... *sigh* such a rip off for enchanters that we get deaf/mute pets Smiley: oyvey But would prolly work good on charmed pets I'd imagine Smiley: wink

This spell does not work on charmed pets but only on summoned pets. Too bad too since I would have liked to have kept a charmed pet on a long leash.

i often snare pets before charming so when charm breaks it's not straight on me. Now when you need to travel it's painfull either risk loosing all bufs you gave to the pet and cancel magic, or suffer slow travel. This spell is excellent for moving fast and not being bothered by a snared pet.
what lvl is this pet?

No, this spell summons the pet to you from wherever it is in zone. It's not the spell to actually create a pet.

Anyone know the reason they give us a "summon" spell BEFORE giving us an actual pet? Especailly if it really doesn't work on charmed animals *sigh*
