I have these on my 28 BST and I get the "You are not sufficient level to use this item" error message. The posts in here are almost two years old. Can anyone testify when/if this item let's you use the Summon Pet effect? That was the only reason I spent the pp to get these...to save mana.
I am now a level 45 BST and I still get the message 'You are not sufficient level to use this item' Does anyone REALLY know what level they are supposed to work. After all BST get teh spell Summon Warder at lvl 39
Does anyone know what level these REALLY become right clickable? My BST is 45, but right clicking still produces "You are not of sufficient level to use this item."
I've had these gaunts since L1, and they've always said "item is out of charges" when right clicked. Now that I'm 54th, I'm led to believe they're bugged, as they have infinite charges (charges aren't even listed in desc).
I've also had boots since L1, and they used to work until a nerf made them say I'm insufficient level until I made 45th.
Not to be Harsh, but if you are refering to the Wild Lords armor being 'nerfed' so that it won't be clickable till lvl 45+, then maybe someone should remind you that it was more of a balance issue fix, than a nerf? All of the kunark class specific armors are right clickable at level 45+. Speaking as an untwinked nonpowerleveled Beastlord, i can say that the change didn't affect me at all, and i just assumed that our class armor would have the same level requirement as all other classes, out of fairness. = )
Once again the people at verant nerph items that are needed to fix their bugs. Pets get stuck in walls and get lost because they don't follow correctly, they could actually make this a low lvl spell and ditch the gloves effect all together instead of nerphing the effect AFTER people spend all their pp to buy them.
These are nice to have if your warder gets stuck in an enclosed area or lost in a wall. You can just summon him back to your side.
I'm not sure these are worth more than about 500pp since Beastlords get the spell Summon Companion at level 39 anyway. That's what they were selling for in GF.
Woot !!! Drop in KC Basement and noone in my group want them so they was for me, the day before patch ;) Now, they have an effect SUMMON COMPANION )))) AM HAPPY !!!
This is plain stupid. The gem inlaid gauntlets are easily (even more so now that there are luclin spires) gotten at low twenties and they have 8ac sta and dex. All/All...
Beastlords can also equip the Iksar Scaled gauntlets that drop in Warsliks Wood. They have 10ac, as well as str/dex/hp. If someone is out there slaughtering the goblins (and there usually is), then they've probably seen more than a couple of these gauntlets rot, since they're lore. You can usually just run over there and loot a pair, and all it will cost you is the time it took you to run there.
In general, the beastlord class armors have horrible AC and low weight. Basically, beastlord class armor is balanced similar to monk armor. The problem is, beastlords don't get any AC bonus for keeping their encumberance down, so basically, you pay the penalty (low AC on class armor) for a bonus that you don't even have (low weight on the armor does practically nothing for you). Some NEWBIE beastlord quests (level 8) yeild armor with the same AC as their PLANAR gear. That tells me that this stuff needs to be completely re-thought.
Actually Beastlords do use a slightly "nerfed" version of the monk AC table. i.e. a Beastlord gets a class AC bonus to make up for the lower AC of the armor they get to wear. However, you're right about weight not figuring in to the equation.
Had a pair of these drop off the spectral turnkey in Karnors basement. I can't figure out this item, there are so many better AC and stat gloves about for BST .. take the gloves from the grey with AC12 and wisdom too (and mob as easy as the Turnkey). Anyway logic was never Verant's strong point.
All the other classes are both great AC and have an effect on them. For the beasty stuff it's a mixed bag though. Check out the legs and BP.
Boots have shrink on them, and work at level 15 as well, while the crown has nothing on it. As for this, I posted the item above :) so can confirm that there is no effect at this time. Saw something though that suggests Verant are going to review the beasty armor in the future so hopefully it will get an effect then.
Whether thats ALL armor, or the class specific stuff I dont know. Hopefully the kunark stuff will as part of the risk v reward. I for one can see no reward in killing a named mob in HS for simply a set of ac 8 gloves.
Dropped off the Crypt Keeper in the north wing of Howling Stones by the way - right at the ned near the port back to the entrance. These are currently in my beasty's backpack waiting to see if they change them :) Nice dark brown color on a Vah Shir beasty as well.
