The Darkened Sea Info & Guides: Overview | Progression & Task List | Raiding | Visible Armor This solo task is the first in a series of three and begins with Talon (click for map image) on Thuliasaur Island. Pre-Requisites for Requesting: - Minimum Level 95 - Minimum apprehensive faction with Bloodfeather Aviaks Say "willing" to request the task. Without minimum faction, you see: Talon says 'There is much for you to do to help my people before I can trust you. Commander Wing or the child Etsyl may have work for you, or you could clear away some of the dinosaur threat that roams the central jungle.' With apprehensive+ faction, you see: Talon says 'So this is the _____ my village has been speaking of. Welcome to you, _____. I am Talon, leader of the Bloodfeathers. I am sure you have many questions but I must first interject with a request. You have garnered the reputation of being a formidable warrior and so I must ask if you are [willing] to help us with a growing threat.' You say, 'I am willing' Talon says 'I knew your reputation was not an exaggeration. Help us stem the threat of the corrupted guardians that dwell to the south and I shall be happy to answer any of your questions.' You have been assigned the task 'The Ebonwing Threat'. Talon, the Bloodfeather tribe's leader, is concerned with the corrupted creatures that tend to the Ebonwing nest just south of the village. These tenders and guardians are subservient to the Ebonwing Matriarch, which the Bloodfeather tribe lives in fear of, but they have proven dangerous as they have a tendency to attack or even kill any egret or scout that gets too close to the nest. Talon would like you to kill a few of the guardians and tenders near the nest. He fears that having his own warriors carry out this task would endanger the lives of the entire tribe should the Ebonwing Matriarch take the action as a sign of aggression toward her chicks. 
Kill several Ebonwing tenders and guardians 0/4 (Thuliasaur Island) Kill four ebonwing guardians and/or tenders (the nest is due south of the Aviak village). Speak with Talon 0/1 (Thuliasaur Island) You say, 'Hail, Talon' Talon listens intently as you recount the details of your excursion, 'Good, good. This is a fine first step but I fear there is more to do. The situation is delicate in that we must not incur the wrath of the grand Ebonwing. Upsetting her would prove more deadly than a war with the lumbering beasts to the west. I have a plan but I will need your help in the future. Return to me when you believe you are ready.' Talon is thankful for your efforts but believes there is more to be done.
