NOTE: In order to see spell effects associated with this event, you need certain display options turned on. Go to your Options menu (ALT+O) and to the Display tab. Under the "Particles" section, the "Player" tab, you'll want "On For" set to "Everyone". (You have to zone in order for changes to take effect.)
This raid expedition begins with Al'Kabor on the Dreadlands isle of Al'Kabor's Nightmare. Pre-requisites for requesting this raid: - Al'Kabor's Nightmare partisan tasks "The Rivervale Ruins", "Wastelands of Everfrost", and "Faydark's Shadow" - Completion of "Catastrophic Power" (group progression mission) - Completion of Tier 2 raids (The Torches of Truth; The Librarian's Nightmare; Terror in the Dark; The Roots of Evil) - Must have looted and used a Rusty Gate Key from Tier 2 raids Pre-requisites for participating in this raid: - Must have looted and used a Rusty Gate Key from Tier 2 raids You say, 'Hail, Al`Kabor' Al`Kabor says 'Will you never let me be? I've had enough of your foolishness. You prod and poke at me as if I were an experiment gone wrong. I suggest that you return to [Rivervale], [Everfrost] or [Faydark]. If you do not [leave], then you may just be the final [undoing] of this world.' You say, 'Me? The undoing of the world?' Al`Kabor says 'Fools, all of you fools. I should not be surprised that even at the end of all things all that remain are fools. If you're so interested, come [watch] everything end.' You say, 'I'll watch' Al`Kabor says 'And so you shall. [Prepare] for everything to go black.' At World's End is now available to you. You say, 'I am prepared!' Al`Kabor says 'Fools.' LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... You have entered At World's End. Summary - See this map of the Dreadlands spire complex for locations relative to the Al`Kabor encounter. - Invis to Dreezil Stickens and say "Everfrost" to him to port up to the Everfrost isle. - Invis your way to the northeast area around Dagda's tower. - Say "stay" to Dagda Icefury to spawn the ice giants encounter. - Kill Zephyrcrush and his ice giant adds (watch for Zephyrcrush's emote-based targetted AE silence). - Say "Kelethin" to Dabner Drednever to port up to the Faydwer isle. - Invis to the ruins of Felwithe and say "Dreadlands" to Sionachie Heartsinger to port up to the Dreadlands isle. - Hail Al`Kabor to trigger the final fight. (This starts an 8-minute timer, after which Al`Kabor goes live.) - Kill or kite the icebane and charbane skeletons to prevent them from killing the NPCs. - Make sure Thubr Axebringer, Sir Jevik Isqual, Dagda Icefury, and Dreezil avoid Al`Kabor's mobile damage auras by telling them to "Go _____" (where the blank is north/east/west/south). - Once Al`Kabor goes live, DPS him down as quickly as possible while kiting or offtanking his adds. The Rivervale Isle: Passing Through There is no combat related to the event on the Rivervale Isle. See the Halfling Dreezil Stickens near the eastern cliff of the Rivervale Isle and say "Everfrost" to him to port up to the next isle. You say, 'Hail, Dreezil Stickens, Pocketdip' Dreezil Stickens, Pocketdip says 'Well hello there, _____. Welcome to the end of the world. Of course I've always said that as long as you're alive there's no point in giving up. You can stop [fighting back] once you're dead.' You say, 'Fighting back?' Dreezil Stickens, Pocketdip says 'Ah, well, not much that I can see to do to make things better. I mean, heck, everything just blew up.' The halfling's voice changes slightly for a moment, 'I'm too ignorant and stupid to know when I'm in trouble over my diminutive head.' Then he continues in his normal voice, not missing a beat or appearing to notice what just happened. 'I suppose there's enough food for now, though the deputies are having trouble. I just wish I knew [what happened].' You say, 'What happened?' Dreezil Stickens, Pocketdip says 'I really don't know. I can't even remember anything before this happened. Whatever it was must have caused me to black out, and I woke up locked up in the wall guard tower. All the guards I talked to remember, or, well, don't remember it the same way. It's like the whole world shut off and restarted with a huge [explosion].' You say, 'An explosion?' Dreezil Stickens, Pocketdip says 'Shattered the world, I figure. The real problem is that the only place that I can see that might have something tasty to drink is floating just out of reach. I suppose we could try [jumpin'] over to the next hunk of rock. Looks a lot like Everfrost to me. But then I'm not a fan of water, especially the frozen kind.' You say, 'Jumpin'?' Dreezil Stickens, Pocketdip says 'I was just kidding! Don't do that, you'd never make it. I know a trick, though. If you really need to get over there, all you have to do is let me know and I'll help you get to the chunk of all that's left of [Everfrost].' You say, 'Send me to Everfrost' Dreezil Stickens, Pocketdip says 'Good luck.' The Everfrost Isle: Triggering the Event Dagda Icefury is found at the same location as in the group progression task for Al'Kabor's Nightmare. She's outside the tower in the northeastern part of the isle. Don't talk to her until you're ready to begin the event. NOTE: There are several ice bone skeletons nearby that may interfere with kiting. They (like all zone trash in the instance) have a very fast respawn time. They are mezzable, so can be kept mezzed while you kill the ice giants. You say, 'Hail, Dagda Icefury' Dagda Icefury says 'Hello. Move aside, I need a clear field of vision. It's ridiculous that all these icy jerks survived the end of the world and so few of my kin did. I can't hold this place forever. Sooner or later I'll fall, and so will my [friends]. I can't allow that.' You say, 'Friends?' Dagda Icefury says 'Ognit appears to have been injured in the... the whatever it was. Dabner thinks that he's physically fine, but that he's just being stubborn and refusing to regain consciousness. That seems crazy to me, but then Dabner's the healer, not me. I'm the [killer].' You say, 'The killer?' Dagda Icefury says 'I guess it takes the end of everything to force me to recognize who I really am. I've spent my life killing people to protect people that I care about. How righteous and proud I was, thinking that my strength made me and mine worthy and other people not.' As she speaks her eyes glint for a moment and a shadow seems to pass across her face. 'All I have left now are these two. Trouble makers for sure, but friends nonetheless. If we had [Ognit] we might be able to survive the next assault. There can't be an infinite number of those Marr-cursed giants.' You say, 'Ognit?' Dagda Icefury says 'Aye, Ognit. He doesn't look like much, but he's a very powerful wizard. But then, perhaps you could help. It seems to me that you have more reason to help me than to help the wretched ice giants. Stay here and help me defend my friends. Obviously I can't offer you any reward, other than my assistance in defeating them. After all, we're some of the last people alive, and those giants would kill you as readily as they would kill me and my friends. Will you [stay] and help defend them?' You say, 'I'll stay' Dagda Icefury says 'Thank you. I doubt it will be long before they decide to attack us.' This spawns the ice giant mini-event. The Everfrost Isle: Zephyrcrush and the Ice Giants After saying "stay" to Dagda Icefury, five ice giants spawn to the west and charge in (4x "an ice giant" + 1x "Zephyrcrush"). They'll attempt to kill Dagda Icefury and if left alone, will do so, causing the event to reset. These mobs can be killed one at a time while you kite the others. The ice giants hit for a max ~18,000; buff themselves with "Coat of Hoarfrost"; and cast "Icy Shards": Coat of Hoarfrost: Self 0', Cold (0) 1: Increase Damage Shield by 900 Icy Shards: Single Target, Cold (-690) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 35000 They also occasionally mem blur themselves. You'll see this emote when it happens: an ice giant shouts 'Enough of this! I'll destroy someone slower!' Zephyrcrush hits for a max ~20,000 and casts two AEs: "Permafrost Explosion" and the emote-based "Snow Flurry": Permafrost Explosion: PB AE 200', Cold (-690) 1: Decrease HP when cast by 20000 2: Decrease Hitpoints by 15000 per tick (5 ticks) 3: Decrease Movement by 70% 4: Inhibit Melee Attacks by (60%) Snow Flurry: Targeted AE 150', Cold (-690) 1: Decrease HP when cast by 25000 2: Decrease Hitpoints by 17000 per tick (3 ticks) 3: Silence The targetted AE "Snow Flurry" is preceded by an emote seen by everyone 9 seconds in advance of its cast: Zephyrcrush says 'The ice giant leader appears to be watching _____' (where the blank is a name) The target should move away from the raid until the spell hits them. Zephyrcrush has been slain by _____! Zephyrcrush falls to the ground, weapon clutched tightly in hand. The Everfrost Isle: After the Ice Giants Are Dead Once Zephyrcrush and the other ice giants are dead, say "Kelethin" to Dabner Drednever to port up to the next isle. You say, 'Hail, Dagda Icefury' Dagda Icefury says 'Thank you for your help. I don't know if you understand how important it is for me to have friends here at the end of all things. It's almost like I'd be hollow without them. Perhaps now with the giants dead we can think about helping those left. I've seen movement on the green chunk of land, but can't tell who or what it was. It certainly looks like [Kelethin] from here, though.' You say, 'Kelethin?' Dagda Icefury says 'I never had the sharpest eyes, but I'm fairly certain the rubble to the east is from Kelethin. I can't leave here until Ognit is better, but maybe Dabner can get you there to help out any survivors.' You say, 'Hail, Dabner Drednever' Dabner Drednever says 'Hello. I'm sorry for being rude earlier, but you've saved Dagda's life, and I appreciate that. Certainly she would have gotten herself killed if you weren't here. She was talking about hiding us someplace and going out to distract the ice giants. Some fool idea about making a defensive stand at one of the edges and making it look like we fell off before she dies fighting them. Foolish. I think that girl would be happiest if she could die saving someone, the only trouble is that she's too skilled to die and too worried that we wouldn't be able to get along without her. And we probably wouldn't. No doubt [Ognit] here would have met his fate a long time ago.' You say, 'Ognit?' Dabner Drednever says 'The great Ognit Eznertob. Bah. He thinks himself the greatest wizard ever, and the greatest tinker. But he's blown up more copper contraptions than I could count. Oh, no doubt he's powerful... why you should have seen the contraption he created once while trying to make a heater for these barbarians! No doubt if Dagda hadn't smashed the thing it would have killed half the population of Halas. But he's no Solist, no Porlo. He's certainly not as powerful as... Odd, I... Well, anyway, he's my best friend, so that's enough for me. If only he'd [listen] to me.' You say, 'He doesn't listen?' Dabner Drednever says 'He never listens to me, but now he really needs to. He's in there trying to will himself dead. I don't know why, but I'm sure that's what's going on. It's almost as if... No, it can't be.' Ognit turns to Dabner with a thoughtful expression on his face. 'You always did have a magnificently powerful ability to overestimate yourself.'' Dabner Drednever shouts 'You are not responsible for this! Ognit, you fool, you DID NOT blow up the world! This is not your fault!' Ognit Eznertob says 'Exploded. Everything exploded. Must have been me, only me.' Then in a stronger, oddly accented voice, 'I've always been foolish and free with my power. My irresponsibility was dangerous and stupid.' Immediately after speaking, Dabner collapses again.' Dabner Drednever sighs, 'Well, that answers that. Maybe I can wake him up eventually. But let me see if I can get you to [Kelethin]. You say, 'Send me to Kelethin' Dabner Drednever says 'Good luck, and thank you.' The Faydark Isle: Passing Through There is no combat related to the event on this isle. Make your way into the ruins of Felwithe and say "Dreadlands" to Sionachie Heartsinger to port up to the Dreadlands isle. There are several other NPCs here, but they don't have any bearing on the event (for now). You say, 'Hail, Firiona Vie' Firiona Vie says 'Hello, _____. I am glad to find others alive in this horrible world. As I stare out over the edge of existence I wonder [how] it is that this came to be. I doubt that I'll ever know.' You say, 'Hail, Sir Jevik Isqual' Sir Jevik Isqual says 'Hail, hero. We're glad you are here to assist us in our darkest hour. We may not be able to survive long on this nub of rock, but I intend that we shall outlive our foes.' You say, 'Hail, Thubr Axebringer' Thubr Axebringer says 'Well 'ello. Good ta see someone that ain't trying ta kill me. Hah, them Orcs'll keep trying though. Ain't really worth their effort. I was born to kill Orcs. I'll fill this courtyard with their corpses 'til they're all dead. Now move along so I have room ta swing me axe!' You say, 'Hail, Sionachie Heartsinger' Sionachie Heartsinger smiles wanly, 'Hello,' she shakes her head, 'it's hard to believe that we few are the last people alive. I mean, sure, it seems that someone would probably be here if we were not, but why us? I can't help but think, why am I alive? [What does it mean]? You say, 'What does it mean?' Sionachie Heartsinger says 'I really don't know. But if Dreezil, Dagda and the others are still alive, along with the four of us here, that must mean something. Sure, we're all seasoned adventurers, but there were many seasoned adventurers. Why are they dead and you and I are standing here looking at Orcs and fighting them for the last square mile of land?' Sionachie sighs deeply. 'Why bother? I wish I could just shut off my mind and live the rest of my life without such [questions] banging around in my head.' You say, 'Questions?' Sionachie Heartsinger says 'Questions, always questions. Rarely answers. I suppose if I can live long enough I might figure it out. There's something nagging in the back of my head trying to tell me the answer, but I'm apparently not ready to hear it.' She tilts her head, 'You've been to several of the remaining chunks of the world. Perhaps if I sent you to the chunk that appears to be the remnants of the Dreadlands you will be able to find the [answer].' You say, 'What answer?' Sionachie Heartsinger says 'I can't help but think that there is one. Dreadlands is certainly a place of power. I will send you there if you wish. I'm not at all certain how knowing why the world ended will help me accept it, but I'm sure it will. I can send you to the [Dreadlands] chunk whenever you are ready.' You say, 'Send me to the Dreadlands' Sionachie Heartsinger says 'Take care!' The Dreadlands Isle: Locations & Aggro See this map for locations relative to the Al`Kabor encounter. All adds/trash in this event are leashed to the spire area. If you pull them off it and onto the grass area, they'll reset health to 100% and drop all aggro. Adds auto-aggro anyone in the spire area. If you're in the grass area, the adds won't aggro you unless they're trained to your location by someone else and happen to start hitting you before they leash back to the spire area. Al`Kabor himself is permanently rooted. He must be killed where he stands. The Dreadlands Isle: Al'Kabor - Triggering the Event You say, 'Hail, Al`Kabor' NOTE: This starts a timer (details in the next section). Al`Kabor says 'Who are you? You don't belong here. You should be dead like the rest of them. Go away. The world is over. You're dead. The world is dead. And I have finally achieved eternal life. The irony is not lost on me. So, what happens now? Do my 'companions' have anything else to say to me, or shall we just stare at each other for a while longer?' Sionachie Heartsinger shouts 'I see now, I finally understand. You think you blew up the world. You think that your great power is responsible for this. In your arrogance you've created this fantasy... no, this nightmare. The all-powerful Al'Kabor, learner of secrets and the greatest living wizard, and you needed your companions to show you the truth, to save you from your own fears.' Sionachie Heartsinger shouts 'It was Dreezil that always gave us hope, and hope is what you needed. You needed him to tell you that even though you made a terrible mistake, somehow it would be fine. You needed him to tell you that things would get better.' Sionachie Heartsinger shouts 'In Ognit and Dabner you saw a reflection of what you believed you had done. Those two were always getting in trouble, and yet they usually made it through unscathed. You used to call them fools, but never yourself. You thought that if those fools could recover from their mistakes, then so could you.' Sionachie Heartsinger shouts 'Dagda. Strong and faithful Dagda. She never gave up. She never let her friends down and was always our protector. But that wasn't what you needed from her, was it? No, you never needed help or protection. From her you needed the undying faith and love she had for those she called friends. You needed someone to love you despite what you'd done.' Sionachie Heartsinger shouts 'Firiona had nothing for you, did she? She was ever out of reach of your understanding. Her motivations never made sense to you, since nobility didn't exist in any part of you. So why Felwithe? Why Kelethin? Why were they not destroyed along with the rest of the world?' Sionachie Heartsinger shouts 'Of course, I see it now! It was me. You thought of me as a fellow seeker of knowledge. I was the only one that had a chance to understand something that you couldn't grasp. And of course the thing you could never understand was yourself. After all, how can you have a true nightmare without coming to understand some horrible truth about yourself?' Sionachie Heartsinger shouts 'Here's the truth of it. You've spent your life reaching for a goal that you believe should be in your reach and you've been frustrated. Others have done it, others with lesser power perhaps. But those were people that never had what you had. Each of them was willing to cast aside everything for their goal, but you can't. You have friends. Not just that, but you value them, despite your self-delusions to the contrary.' Sionachie Heartsinger shouts 'Well, you've done it now. In this place you have allowed your friends to perish. Not by your actions but by your inaction. So now you have nothing. Nothing to gain and nothing to lose. Only now can you achieve your heart's desire. Now you may live forever. Into eternity you go, taking nothing with you.' Al`Kabor shouts 'Aaaaarrrr!' The once living Erudite uncurls from the wracking pain of his transformation and looks about. 'So, I am completely alone, am I? Of course, you are correct. And if you are correct, then you can't really be here either, Sionachie.'' Al`Kabor shouts 'Clever child, Sionachie. Of course she was only clever because she was a product of my imagination, a manifestation of my power in her image. She claims that this is a dream or nightmare. I know this to be the truth. For decades I have withheld my true power. I've rightfully feared what might happen if I used all of my might, focused myself on one end. All of this came about because I grew weary of waiting for the perfect time and place to enact my plan to become immortal.' Al`Kabor shouts 'And so I have destroyed Norrath. It seems that only you and I remain. Perhaps now I can teach a few of you my true magics? The petty magic that I have taught to others over the years pales in comparison to my real strength! Frost Spiral? Hah! Here is a true Frost Spiral!' Al`Kabor shouts 'Hah! Shock Spiral! Fire Spiral! Why don't I show you how a Force Spiral really works!' Al`Kabor shouts 'No, Sionachie, you were wrong. A nightmare this may be, but this is also reality. I have destroyed the world so that I might live forever. I wish it were not so, but it is. The proof lies all around you.' Al`Kabor shouts 'The sadness in this all is that now that I've finally become immortal, I wish that I could die.' The Dreadlands Isle: Al'Kabor - The First 8 Minutes: Damage Auras NOTE: In order to see the auras associated with this event, you need certain spell effects turned on. Go to your Options menu (ALT+O) and to the Display tab. Under the "Particles" section, the "Player" tab, you'll want "On For" set to "Everyone". (You have to zone in order for changes to take effect.) Upon hailing Al`Kabor, an approximate 8-minute timer is started. Once the 8 minutes is up, Al`Kabor goes live. In the meantime... Firiona Vie disappears. The other four NPCs confronting Al`Kabor (Thubr Axebringer, Dagda Icefury, Sir Jevik Isqual, and Dreezil Stickens) run to different locations around the spire structure (refer to the linked map for locations). For your "alkabormare.txt" map file: P 6413.3950, 283.2773, -657.8573, 0, 0, 0, 1, Sir_Jevik P 6124.5688, 605.0523, -707.5878, 0, 0, 0, 1, Dreezil P 6397.5425, 830.3206, -711.7889, 0, 0, 0, 1, Thubr P 6659.2861, 579.7632, -711.7889, 0, 0, 0, 1, Dagda Unaided, these four NPCs will not be safe in these locations for long. If any of them die, the event resets. About 90 seconds after you trigger the event, the damage auras begin appearing. The red boxes on this map indicate the approximate paths they take. If you hail Ognit Eznertob (sitting on a nearby pyramid), he'll explain how the damage auras work: You say, 'Hail, Ognit Eznertob' Ognit Eznertob shouts 'Ah! I do have an idea! Companions, listen. I can make it so that those spirals are drawn to you. Listen to these heroes and go where they suggest, I'll make sure the spirals follow you. Dagda, you get the ice. Jevik, fire. Dreezil, move fast, you get the force. That leaves Thubr for the shock. Get moving folks!' NOTE: Other than this explanation, Ognit has no bearing on this event. As Ognit says, each of the auras will follow one of the NPCs. Someone (or multiple people) in your raid has to coordinate the NPCs to make sure they keep moving and that they keep out of the auras. You can tell them to "Go north", "Go west", "Go east", or "Go south" and they'll make their way to the location you tell them. For example: You say, 'Go south' Thubr Axebringer says 'On my way.' As long as you keep them moving, they should be OK. Players are also susceptible to these auras, so the bulk of the raid should set up in an area outside the aura paths (but within the actual spire area so that event mobs don't leash). Whoever is coordinating the NPCs will need to be careful not to get caught in the auras themselves. The auras in question: Al'Kabor's Spiral of Deadly Fire: Single Target, Fire (-650) 1: Trigger on Cast: Flame Feedback 2: Limit: Instant spells only 3: Decrease Hitpoints by 10000 per tick (13 ticks) 4: Decrease Cold Resist by 900 Al'Kabor's Spiral of Deadly Force: Single Target, Magic (-650) 1: Decrease HP when cast by 55000 2: Slow Push (-100) (5 ticks) 3: Decrease Haste v2 by 600% Al'Kabor's Spiral of Deadly Frost: Single Target, Cold (-650) 1: Increase Incoming Spell Damage by 60% 2: Limit: Resist (Fire allowed) 3: Decrease Movement by 20% 4: Decrease Fire Resist by 900 5: Decrease HP when cast by 35000 6: Decrease Hitpoints by 10000 per tick (5 ticks) Al'Kabor's Spiral of Deadly Shock: Single Target, Magic (-650) 1: Decrease HP when cast by 55000 2: Silence (3 ticks) 3: Amnesia (Silence vs Melee Effect) As long as you are standing in an aura, its effect will hit you once every six seconds. At the end of the 8-minute timer (when Al`Kabor goes live), you can stop worrying about these four NPCs. The auras, however, remain live and will sometimes move about the area on their own. The Dreadlands Isle: Al'Kabor - The First 8 Minutes: The Skeletons About 3 minutes after hailing Al`Kabor to start the event, skeletons start appearing around the complex and aggro the NPCs. They'll need to be pulled away from the NPCs, brought to your raid, and killed. (Or, you can just keep them kited for the duration of the event.) The first type is "an icebane skeleton". It hits for a max ~17,000; buffs itself with "Glare of Ancient Ice"; and casts "Frozen Shadows": Glare of Ancient Ice: Self 0', Magic (0) 1: Increase Chance to Reflect Spell by 75% Frozen Shadows: Single Target, Cold (-690) 1: Illusion: Unknown(576) 2: Stun (18.00 sec) The second type is "a charbane skeleton". It hits for a max ~17,000; buffs itself with "Charmor"; and casts "Charburst": Charmor: Self 0', Magic (0) 1: Increase Damage Shield by 1200 Charburst: PB AE 200', Fire (-690) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 30000 These two skeleton types alternate spawns, about one every 60 seconds until Al`Kabor goes live. The Dreadlands Isle: Al'Kabor - The First 8 Minutes: Dabner's Heals If the four NPCs need heals at any time, you can use Dabner to heal them: You say, 'Hail, Dabner Drednever' Dabner Drednever says 'I'm not sure what's going on here. Look, if things get rough, I can [heal my companions], but I just can't seem to think straight. It's like there is a fog in my mind or, maybe more accurately, as if I'm not entirely whole. I'll need you to direct me. But understand that I'm limited right now, I can only do so much healing.' You say, 'Heal your companions' Dabner Drednever shouts 'Incoming healing, targeting Companions!' NOTE: You can only get him to heal every so often. The Dreadlands Isle: Al'Kabor - The First 8 Minutes: Al'Kabor's Additional AEs While not actually live yet, Al`Kabor begins casting some of his AEs in the first 8 minutes. They are "Repulse", "Arctic Chill of Al`Kabor", and "Annihilating Flames of Al'Kabor": Repulse: PB AE 100', Magic (-690) 1: Knockback (4) and Toss Up (2) 2: Negate Levitate Effect Arctic Chill of Al'Kabor: Single Target, Cold (-690) 1: Illusion: Skeleton 2: Decrease HP when cast by 40000 3: Decrease Hitpoints by 10000 per tick Annihilating Flames of Al'Kabor: Single Target, Fire (-690) 1: Decrease Hitpoints by 10000 per tick 2: Trigger Effect: Annihilating Flames Recourse on Fade (64k self-damage if not cured) 3: Increase Curse Counter by 54 "Repulse" is an AE around his pyramid. The other two spells hit random targets. The Dreadlands Isle: Al'Kabor - The Main Event Once the 8-minute timer is up, Al`Kabor goes live. At this point, you have two options: Burn him down as quickly as possible while kiting adds away, or kill the adds as they spawn. Al`Kabor himself hits for a max ~22,000 and has approximately 80 million hitpoints. He does NOT rampage or flurry, but continues AEing the above-mentioned spells. He spawns a single add approximately once every 30 seconds. These can be: "a bloodbane skeleton" Hits for a max ~17,000; casts the debuffs "Boonbane" (increases melee damage taken) and "Bloodbane" (negates debuffs): "Information Kills" This book dervish hits for a max ~17,000 and casts "Knowledge Riven": Knowledge Riven: Single Target, Magic (-690) 1: Decrease Mana by 9000 2: Stun (6.00 sec) "Power of Secrets" This book dervish hits for a max ~17,000 and casts "Knowledge Riven" and "Sanctuary": Sanctuary: Single Target, Unresistable (0) 1: Invulnerability 2: Stun (9.00 sec) "Knowledge is Power" This book dervish hits for a max ~17,000 and also casts "Knowledge Riven" and "Sanctuary". "Dedication to Knowledge" This book dervish hits for a max ~17,000 and also casts "Knowledge Riven" and "Sanctuary". In addition, it casts "Whirling Distemper": Whirling Distemper: Single Target, Magic (-690) 1: SpinStun 2: Decrease Hitpoints by 25000 per tick (3 ticks) The "Whirling Distemper" effect is viral and, after several seconds, inflicts other players around the original target. In addition to the above five mob types, you'll also get more icebane and charbane skeletons. There may be a limit on the number of adds that can be alive at any given time. Completion Kill Al`Kabor to complete the event. Al`Kabor has been slain by _____! Al`Kabor's corpse falls to the ground, sending a surge of magical energy through the air. "an ornate chest" spawns with loot at Al`Kabor's location. NOTE: The adds do NOT despawn. Loot Loot includes 2 Obscure Remnants (first list) + 2-3 other items (second list) + 4 Dream Fragments (any type) + 3 Tremulous Keys (flag for Fear Itself raid) + 2 Rusty Gate Keys (backflag) + 0-1 Lucid Globe of Phantasmic Power (cultural aug) + 0-1 bonus item (third list): Obscure Remnant of Desire Obscure Remnant of Devotion Obscure Remnant of Fear Obscure Remnant of Greed Obscure Remnant of Knowledge Obscure Remnant of Survival Obscure Remnant of Truth Burden of Mortality Dabner's Shield of Insight Darkening Heartsaw Dreamscape Cutlass Faceplate of Blinding Arrogance Icefury's Stalwart Girdle Impermeable Veil of Al`Kabor Insidionite Shortsword Memento of the Toxxulian Schism Preener's Kidgloves Shroud of the Library Guardian Survivor's Guildshield Trinket of the Last Ally Dreadspike, Talon of the Gorgon Scalebone, Memoire of Tynn Spireward, Guard of the Alendine | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
