I found this on "a sturdy wolf" in Dawnshroud Mts
I killed 2 of them it dropped both times hope this helps.

I looted Mark of the wolf off sharpfanged wolf in DSP as a 43 BSt. It is magic item Lore item. I killed wolf in wolf alley loc 1845,25 but they roam all over and come by only every so often. I dont have track...lol

killed a scarlet cheetah in scarlet desert blue and light blue to 52 dropped a sky jewel. hope this helps.

Mark of the wolf was a drop NO Drop Lore item that looks like a rune i found in Dawnshroud off of a "sharpfanged wolf"... i sold it to a vendor in Bazaar as he was offering a few plat for it which i thought was strange that i could sell all my no drop items... DOH...
Anyway just wanted to post that i have looted Mark of the Wolf off of a named wolf in Dawnshroud that i had to chant kite in order to kill as he was tearing me up when meleeing head to head as a lvl 54 bard in full SS, BoH, Flameweaver, and many other higher end items...

I got a Mark of the Wolf today off of a named Shadowned in Twilight Sea. It was not no drop but was magic/lore.
