Kimble Nogflop of Ak'Anon will give you a Regurgitonic, but requires a Flask of Nitrates first.

Find Te`Anara in Surefall Glades at location -202, -423, 5.

You say, 'Hail, Te`Anara'

Te`Anara says, 'Welcome, friend! I hope your stay in Surefall Glade will ease your mind and soothe your soul. While you are here, we ask you to abide by the [laws of the Jaggedpine].'

You say, 'What are the laws of the Jaggedpine?'

Te`Anara says, 'We ask that you do not start campfires on our land. Do not litter our land with any items. Do not chop down our pines or tread upon any foliage. Please do not take more than a bellyful of fish. Do not harm any other wildlife and stay clear of [the great bear]!'

You say, 'Who is the great bear?'

Te`Anara says, 'The great bear I speak of is Mammoth. He has lived among us for over a century. Tunare has truly blessed us with his presence. As long as Mammoth lives, so too does Surefall Glade. We are currently worried. Corun has reported that there is something [wrong with Mammoth].'

You say, 'What is wrong with Mammoth?'

Te`Anara says, 'Mammoth is not eating. We believe something is lodged in his throat. We require a young druid to [fetch a special potion].'

You say, 'I will fetch a special potion'

Te`Anara says, 'Go to the gnome city of Ak'Anon on the continent of Faydwer. With their great zoo, you will find a gnome named Kimble Nogflop.

Give him the flask of nitrates and he shall hand you a special potion which will force Mammoth to cough up whatever may be stuck inside his throat. Be sure to show me what you find inside his throat upon your return.'

Receive Flask of Nitrates.

If you don't have at least indifferent faction with Gem Choppers he will return it back to you and say,

Kimble Nogflop says, "You must show a greater allegiance to the Gemchoppers before we can speak with you. Search the hills for rogue clockworks. Captain Compolten shall accept two of their blackboxes and you shall prove your loyalty to our hall."

Head to Ak'Anon, and once there find Kimble Nogflop at location 1329, -808, -61. The hand in can be done at high apprehensive (-10) faction. Hand him the Flask of Nitrates.

Kimble Nogflop says, 'The flask of nitrates I sent for!! As was the deal, here is my [Regurgitonic]. Give it to whoever may need it and they will surely cough up whatever may be inside them with no harm to them whatsoever.'

Receive Regurgitonic.

Your faction standing with Gem Choppers has been adjusted by 10.
Your faction standing with Merchants of AkAnon has been adjusted by 2.
Your faction standing with King AkAnon has been adjusted by 2.
Your faction standing with Dark Reflection has been adjusted by -2.
Your faction standing with Clan Grikbar has been adjusted by -1

When asked about the regurgitonic:

Kimble Nogflop says 'I formulate the Regurgitonic myself. My animals kept eating the occasional spectator here and there. Femurs and ribs kept getting stuck inside, not to mention a few platinum pieces. Sometimes my batch would come out wrong and the animals would go berserk!! I hope I got the formula right this time.'

One known use for this is to give it to Frostbite the dog to get him to cough up the koalindl fish, which is needed in several quests (most notably the stein of mogguk quest).

You can also use it on the Mammoth in Surefall to get the Bayle List II.

Normally you get the good version of - Regurgitonic - as the quest reward but sometimes you randomly get a bad version - Regurgitonic [Bad Regurgitonic] - and I don't know how often it happens, but it happened to me at least once.

This is also mentioned by Morphea on a post here from 2003-02-13 further below.

I posted a bit more info on the item page for the Bad Regurgitonic.

I got the Regurgitonic at -50 (apprehensive) Gem Choppers and -10 (apprehensive) King Ak'Anon. So either you can do it at mid-apprehensive Gem Choppers or it's King Ak'Anon faction and you can do it at high apprehensive.

Did you have this same faction when handing in the Flask of Nitrates?

Yes. Was at -50 and -10 and Kimble Nogflop took my Nitrates and gave me Regurgitonic. I did it again today with same values. Rizlona TLP, human agnostic.

This quest requires Indifferent or better faction in order to get Kimble Nogflop to accept the Flask of Nitrates.

If you do not have sufficient faction, then Kimble will return the Flask of Nitrates to you and say:
Kimble Nogflop says, "You must show a greater allegiance to the Gemchoppers before we can speak with you. Search the hills for rogue clockworks. Captain Compolten shall accept two of their blackboxes and you shall prove your loyalty to our hall."

This alludes to this quest:
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=603

However, Manic Compolten won't actually accept the rusted blackboxes found on the rogue clockworks by the Minotaur Mines in Steamfont until you reach at least indifferent faction either. It may be that at some point, Manic Compolten wouldn't give the quest until you reached indifferent faction but he'd accept the blackboxes at any faction level. You can build faction by killing minotaurs or other beasts, but either way, this is a bit of a faction grind if you've come all the way from Qeynos just for Regurgitonic.

Edit:
Also, the exact faction changes for completing the step turning in the Flask of Nitrates and obtaining the Regurgitonic are:
Your faction standing with Gem Choppers has been adjusted by 10.
Your faction standing with Merchants of AkAnon has been adjusted by 2.
Your faction standing with King AkAnon has been adjusted by 2.
Your faction standing with Dark Reflection has been adjusted by -2.
Your faction standing with Clan Grikbar has been adjusted by -1.

High indifferent faction needed

I was able to get the flask from Te'anara at high indifferent faction. It took me a while to faction up because I was at dubiously with both druids and rangers when I first arrived in Surefall with my dwarf cleric. Killing poachers and turning in the heads got me to amiably with rangers but only to apprehensively with druids. Had to kill a lot of gnolls to get my druid faction up. I'm at threateningly with QRG Protected Animals, though, so can't turn in the Regurgitonic to Mammoth yet. Have to do more quests with the rangers and druids to get that one up which means killing more gnolls to open up more of their quests first. I was indifferent to the guy in Ak'anon zoo, too, but not sure how high. He gave me the Regurgitonic first time.

Amiable is required with protectors of the pine to get the flask of nitrates from Te'Anara.
I needed illusion half-elf to get to indifferent. Then I needed to cast alliance on Corun Finisc who is not a GM or merchant to get amiable with protectors of the pine.

We've had a few things like this reported, creating the myth/wondering if there is "high indifferent" aka an invisible faction threshold at times.
The Mammoth Regurgatonic Quest Told.
# Jul 07 2005 at 2:36 PM Rating: Decent
Since there was so much confusion on this quest I have decided to research it further. This quest is received from TeAnara. You talk to her and she gives you an empty flask and tells you to take it to the zoo keeper in AkAnon and give it to Kimble Nogflop (I have had no problem giving him the flask and getting the Regurgitonic back) He will give you the special potion Regurgitonic. Then you take the Regurgitonic back to Surefall Glade to give to Mammoth. I waited for Mammoth just inside the waterfall of the cave area, beside the brown bear. He spawned at approximatly Game time: Saturday, December 21, 3200 at 3AM
I gave him the special potion and he coughed up the Bayle List II. I gave the Mammoth the special potion at Location 471, -275, 2. He spawns and then walks to the inner lake stands for a couple of seconds and then heads back to the waterfall where he disappears. Total time that he was Spawned was Game Time: 3AM to 4AM which is approximatly 3 minutes of actual time.
Next, I took the Bayle List II to TeAnara gave it and received the spell scroll Invigor. Faction Standing with Jaggedpine Treefolk, Protectors of the Pine, QRG Protected Animals, and Guards of Qeynos got better. Faction Standing with Unkempt Druids got worse.

I also sent the following screenshots to the site email.

(I am sending a couple of screenshots. They include a picture of Mammoth, the time stamp, and the Location. They also include his conning of blue to a 25 level Ranger, and the Regurgitonic Item Picture and the Bayle List II Item Picture.
The other Screenshot shows a picture of TeAnara when given the Bayle List II, and gives an Item Picture of the spell Invigor.

I hope this will help the confusion on this quest and give you the screen shots that you need.)
I would rate this mission as Easy if you use the Portal of Knowledge to get to AkAnon and have a little patience to wait for the spawn.

Ok here is the walk through for this quest. This should clear up any further questions. :)

Regurgitonic Quest from Surefall Glade

(Getting to Surefall Glade)
In the Plane of Knowledge- easiest way to get there is through Qeynos Portal. loc 147, -318,
-153
This will take you to North Qeynos to loc 193, 487, 2
From the pedestal go North to Qeynos Hills, once in The Qeynos Hills, follow the road to the North to get to the entrance to Surefall Glade. loc 5062, 196, -5
Side Note: This is also a good time to build up faction by killing some gnolls.

The faction for killing gnolls is as follows:
Guards of Qeynos got better
Silent Fist Clan got better
Jaggedpine Treefolk got better
Merchants of Qeynos got better
Sabertooths of Blackburrow got worse.

Once in Surefall Glade, continue through the twisting path and head down the road taking the right and coming to the druid guild.
Its the building that is open on the front and has a large eye banister hanging.

Once there talk to TeAnara loc -202, -423, 5

This is the dialogue for the 1st part of the mission

Target TeAnara

[Hail, Teanara]
TeAnara says, 'Welcome, friend! I hope your stay in Surefall Glade will ease your mind and soothe your soul.
While you are here, we ask you to abide by the [laws of the Jaggedpine].'

Ask TeAnara: What are the laws of the Jaggedpine?

TeAnara says, 'We ask that you do not start campfires on our land. Do not litter our land with any items. Do not chop down our pines or tread upon any foliage. Please do not take more than a bellyful of fish. Do not harm any other wildlife and stay clear of [the great bear]!'

Ask TeAnara: Who is the great bear?

TeAnara says, 'The great bear I speak of is Mammoth. He has lived among us for over a century. Tunare has truly blessed us with his presence. As long as Mammoth lives, so too does Surefall Glade. We are currently worried. Corun has reported that there is something [wrong with Mammoth].'

Ask TeAnara: What is wrong with Mammoth?

TeAnara says, 'Mammoth is not eating. We believe something is lodged in his throat. We require a young druid to [fetch a special potion].'
((Any class can do this quest, not just druids))

Tell TeAnara: I will fetch a special potion'

TeAnara says, 'Go to the gnome city of Ak'Anon on the continent of Faydwer. With their great zoo, you will find a gnome named Kimble Nogflop.
Give him the flask of nitrates and he shall hand you a special potion which will force Mammoth to cough up whatever may be stuck inside his throat. Be sure to show me what you find inside his throat upon your return.'

[[Receive the Flask of Nitrates: Lore Item No Trade. WT: 0.4. Size: Small. Class: ALL. Race: ALL.

Now there are a couple of ways to get there: Take a boat over to the continent of Faydwer, teleport, but the way I took was to go back to Qeynos and use the Plane of Knowledge Pedestal ((This is the easiest in my opinion))

Head back out of Surefall Glade into The Qeynos Hills, continue straight south back to North Qeynos.

1. Head to the Plane of Knowledge Pedestal at loc 193, 487, 2
2. The other way is to go across land to get to Freeport to take a boat to the Ocean of Tears and then to Faydwer- this is a long path through a lot of tough country, not for the faint of heart and can take you a good couple of hours just to make the jouney, the safest way and quickest is through the Plane of Knowledge, unless you're just glutton for punishment.

Once in the Plane of Knowledge at loc 146,
-319, -153 head south and turn right at the Freeport Portal to the Ak'Anon Portal at loc
-442, -71, -154.

You will be in Steamfont Mountains at loc -1329, 931, -109 when you arrive from the Plane of Knowledge.

Head SSE (south/south/east) to get to the entrance of Ak'Anon at loc -1868, 559, -109.

Once in Ak'Anon go north to the Green Waterfall (The lake) go to your right and follow the path all the way around to the north to loc 1292,
-745, -25 go up the ramp to the right of the tribute master (remember you can't use your find command it won't work here)

Go straight up the ramp into the opening and then down a couple of levels go right or left, both will lead you around travel to the west past the clock to loc 1299, -826, -37 look to the south and you will see a door, open it go through the door and go down the passageway to Kimble Nogflop at loc 1329, -808, -61 (took a screenshot of him here)

Target Kimble (cons red to a 26 Ranger and give him the Flask of Nitrates (I didn't hail him first, just targeted and gave)

Kimble Nogflop says, 'The flask of nitrates I sent for!! As was the deal, here is my[Regurgitonic]. Give it to whoever may need it and they will surely cough up whatever may be inside them with no harm to them whatsoever.'

Receive Regurgitonic

The faction for giving Kimble Nogflop the Flask of Nitrates is as follows:
Gem Choppers got better.
Merchants of AkAnon got better.
King AkAnon got better.
Dark Reflection got worse.
Clan Grikbar got worse.

Ask Kimble: What about the Regurgitonic?

Kimble Nogflop says 'I formulate the Regurgitonic myself. My animals kept eating the occasional spectator here and there. Femurs and ribs kept getting stuck inside, not to mention a few platinum pieces. Sometimes my batch would come out wrong and the animals would go berserk!! I hope I got the formula right this time.

Head back out of Ak'Anon the opposite of the way you came in at loc 1182, -737, -25 there is a smithing merchant take the passageway to his right towards the south.

Once back in Steamfont Mountains, head NNW (north/north/west) out the entrance to the Plane of Knowledge Pedestal at loc 1329, 031, -109

Once back in the Plane of Knowledge head east to the Freeport then go north to the Qeynos Portal at loc 146, -319, -153.

Once back in North Qeynos at loc 193, 487, 2 head straight north to The Qeynos Hills.

Once back in the Qeynos Hills head north to Surefall Glade entrance at loc 5062, 196, -5.

Once back in Surefall Glade head back through the passageway and jump in the lake and swim towards the waterfall go through the waterfall at loc 228, -165, 0.

Side note: Sometimes there are Piranha's there in the lake. Just go by them.
Side note: You will probably see a guy named Poacher (not to be confused with 'a poacher') Don't know if he will KOS on low level players, but at 26 Ranger he didn't. He told me to die like a motherless gnoll, so I took offense and killed him.

Faction for killing Poacher is as follows:
Merchants of Qeynos got better.
Guards of Qeynos got better.
Circle of Unseen Hands got worse.
Corrupt Qeynos Guards got worse.
Kane Bayle got worse.

Now go to loc 226, -175,0 and wait for Mammoth to spawn (this might take awhile, have patience- a lot of patience) Try not to go wandering around cause when he does spawn sometimes he is only there for about 2 minutes before disappearing, I take the Regurgitonic out of my inventory and leave it in my hand.

Ok he will spawn at 3am game time every day at loc 226, -175,0 he will walk to loc 485, -283, 2 stay for about a minute and then walk to loc 226, -402, 16 where he will wait for a minute, then he will walk back to his spawn point loc 226, -175, 0 and disappear. Total time: about 3-4 minutes

Target Mammoth (conns blue to 26 ranger) and give him the Regurgitonic.

Faction for giving the Regurgitonic to Mammoth is as follows:
QRG Protected Animals got better.
Protectors of the Pine got better.
Jaggedpine Treefolk got better.
Karana Bandits got worse.

Mammoth coughs up something.

Receive Bayle List II: The note is rolled up. LORE ITEM NO TRADE. WT: 0.0 Size: Tiny
The Bayle List II reads as follows: FSUTDU EMEZMI GOPOP HIMMOP JIMTJOP I don't have an identify spell for this so I will have to get back on what this actually says, if thats possible.

Side note: Had to do this. Piranha have about 40HP and conn green to 26 Ranger they drop the following Items:

Piranha Tooth: WT: 0.1, Size: Tiny, Class/Race: ALL
Fresh Piranha: This is a meal, WT: 1.0, Size: Small, Class/Race: ALL

Took a screenshot of these two items also.

Ok now take the Bayle List II to TeAnara at loc -202, -423, 5 and give her the Bayle List II.

Faction for giving the Bayle List II to TeAnara is as follows:
Jaggedpine Treefolk got better.
Protectors of Pine got better.
QRG Protected Animals got better.
Guards of Qeynos got better.
Unkempt Druids got worse.

TeAnara says 'Oh my! This must belong to Antonius Bayle. I shall see that he receives it. You have done a great service to Qeynos and Surefall Glade. I rewards you with this. May it be of good use in your future deeds.'

Receive Spell: Invigor: Level needed: CLR(9) PAL(21) RNG(23) DRU(12) SHM(21) ENC(22) BST(45)
Skill: Alteration. Mana Cost: 20. Spell Effect: Renews the endurance of your target, replenishing their stamina for 0:00:18.
WT: 0.1. Size: SMALL. Race: ALL

And this concludes the walk through for the Regurgitonic/Bayle List II/Mammoth Quest.
Hope this helps a lot of people. I did this quest twice the same way just to make sure it would work. Mammoth spawned twice for me at 3am on Thursday and Saturday, I believe he spawns everyday at 3am. Enjoy.

Help! I can get my flask of nitrates easily enough from either Gerael Woodone or Te'Anara in Surefall Glade. And it is easy to find Kimble Nogflop on the lower level of the Ak'Anon zoo. But when I give him the flask of nitrates he simply hands it back saying that he has no need of it. Does anyone know what the problem here is?

Hi all,

Found Kimble in the lower level of the zoo... way in the back by the "boiler" looking machine... no problem.

But, my con to him was apprehensive... I gave him the nitrates anyhow... I got a threatening message, and he kept the nitrates, and left me emptyhanded.

So if you are determined to do this quest, don't hand him a single nitrate until you have increased your faction with him to better than apprehensive at least.

good luck
Kimble's Disappearance
# Apr 14 2004 at 3:06 AM Rating: Decent
I did this quest a few days ago on Venril, but when I came to give Kimble the Flask of Nitrates I initially couldn't find him. I eventually did find him hiding in the big metal boiler thing at the end of his corridor. The only way I could hand him the nitrates was to /target kimble with the targeting ring turned on in options, I could then just about see the targeting ring under the boiler and hand Kimble the flask.

Hope this helps anyone else who might be baffled at Kimble's disappearance.

That didn't work for me. At all. Handing him it by clicking the red ring. I just got the 'cant drop' message you get when trying to drop a No Drop item. But I did succeed by going up to the zoo level, against where the Tiger (if I remember correctly) and then drop down on top of that conduit contraption he loves to live in.

Did the /tar Kim, got the red ring and then proceeded handing him it from above. That worked for me.

You can actually just hand Kimble the flask while he is still in the boiler with a little trial and error. Just turn on the targeting ring in options to see where he is at and give him the flask. You may need to click around the ring a few times to find the right place.

Can't seem to do that anymore with the new Engine... tried many different angles and positions around the entire boiler...

Eventually I just made a SK Gnome and stood at the corner of the last turn in the tunnel and HT'd him...

Yes, it agroed everything else too, but he moved about 2 meters as a result, and when I came back on my other character, he was visible and functional :)

I bought "Planes Of Power" last night and installed it and I tell you - it was well worth it. For those of you who did this quest without it, you deserve a high-5!" I think this will make travel MUCH easier than what I have been doing.

But I went to Ak'Anon this morning and can't find Kimble Nogflop the Zookeeper anywhere (I don't even see a zoo LOL). I am so anxious to do this quest because it will be the first major quest I've done (I already have the Erud's tonic and the Nitrates), but I can't find Nogflop. Please guide me?
Bad Regurgitonic
# Feb 13 2003 at 11:50 AM Rating: Decent
This little gem of info really should be noted in the quest information, but it is possible for you to receive a Bad Regurgitonic from Kimble Nogflop. I spent weeks trying to feed Frostbite a regurgitonic that he just kept telling me was something he didn't want. I cast Identify on it, and it's lore info said: Bad Regurgitonic. I destroyed it and got another one, which worked perfectly fine.

So, before you start to think that something about Frostbite is broken, check to see if you've got a bad regurgitonic...chances are that is your problem.

Gerael Woodone

Gerael Woodone is at loc neg154 neg394 in Surefall. I was initially apprehensive in SF, but cast Human illusion to get me to indifferent. However, Gerael still wouldn't give me the flask. So I cast Alliance on him to bring the faction up to Amiable and he gave me the Nitrates. Key phrase is "I will deliver a flask."
What is it?

Hailing Gerael Woodone
# Apr 05 2002 at 4:57 AM Rating: Decent
I'm a dark elf, so illusions were necessary. Gerael Woodone wouldn't speak to me when I hailed him using the wood-elf illusion, so I moved away, and changed into a human illusion, approached him, cast alliance on him and hailed him again. He gave the proper quest speach, I said my bit and got the nitrates. The dog Frostbite is in West Karana in the barbarian village in the SW corner in a fenced in pen. Cast alliance on it as well to get him to cough up the fish. All is well now.

After you get the fish you can multiquest the stien. If its same account try to find someone else that needs it for thier quest. If not then get out that second comp and finish that quest up. Just make sure the chanter turns in at least 50 percent of the items and also they must trade em in last to get the book.

Dark Reflection Faction
# Oct 15 2001 at 11:09 PM Rating: Default
Hi,
Just wondering how bad the faction hit with Dark Reflection is on this quest? I'm an Enchanter and need to deal with Rilgor Plegnog in Ak'Anon for my epic. Would like to be able to do this quest twice but not sure if that really messes me up for my epic. Any help/info appreciated.

Thanks!
