Was working on Jaggedpine faction when I decided to give him a try. He is definitely tougher than he looks. Soloed with 69 cleric and by the time he went down, was at 5% mana and 53% hp. Healed myself about three times. Got a tad of experience from him!
He dropped Sabertooth, Words of Comprehension and his head.
a hard ob, soloed with my 65 ranja, snare pulled, got no adds, rooted and started to use bow, ran and attacked for a bit, when proc slow landed switched weapon and when got low backed off and healed, dropped the 15 save fire thing, and heal and a pearl necklace
i say he is the equivilant to a Teir one PoP mob, like in Plane of Innovation
heh cant believe noone has said this yet ..looks like the darkpaw clan is actually strong (fippy's older brother getting revenge for ..eh ..9,832,428,919 kills give or take :D) .. sorry no useful info ..i just noticed the name and HAD to say this
I used to charm kite with this guy as my pet. Had to have a dru/rang with me to snare him when charm broke. But I'll tell ya something. He does so much damage that all other mobs took about 20-30 seconds each. We used to go around the whole room, and I mean the big area, not just his little cove in the back. I could use this guy to clean out the entire area before respawn. If you're looking for faction before you kill him, get a good charm kiting chanter to go in with you and have him kill everything in site. You can't get faction faster than that, IMHO. Did my badge of nobility on Venril Sethir. Trying to do it now on Quellious with a necro, gonna miss the charm kiting. Oh ya, as a pet, he NEVER dropped below 85% health, and that was only when I had 4 or 5 adds. His average after 10 mobs was 96%+ health. I figure he's got about 20k HP from when we finally killed him out of boredom and necessity. Got the sword so many times, common drop.
With only my Ranger buffs I took this guy down today. Superior Cameo got me most the way in, only one mob saw through it, but a green con took no time at all to deal with. Root, Snare, DoT, Nuke when root breaks. He whittled me down when we were toe to toe, but root held, and I just healed myself.
Dropped the sword, head, and words.

Two 51 necros were able to take this guy down. After killing all of the mobs around him we snared and aggro kited him around the little room he spawns in. Landed about ten 500hp snares, about 10 350hp lifetaps, and 8 envenomed bolts, splurts, asystoles, and bonds of death. That is a TON of hitpoints. Took about 5 minutes of running around in circles for him to finally drop. Was a yellow con, he dropped his head, tears of prexus, and the Whilom Treant Fossil. Probably the toughest mob I've ever duoed at this level, was not expecting him to have so many hp. Also, he only landed a couple hit on me, usually for 200-220 hp. A full group of high 40's low 50's would have no problem taking this guy out for the Qyenos Badge quest, or just for the xp.
My friend 59 dru with 10 aa's took him out no prob with 3/4 mana solo was not to bad if you plan how to take him out u cant just run in to many add's . take out all see inviz mob and the oracle . did not need my help rofl make me feel useless as clr and war good luck see ya on VZ .
I soloed this guy with my lvl 65 Mage. He's a tough cookie, I can tell you.
I have my DPoC focused Air Pet equipped with mage pet-toys. The other Gnolls are green to me and are easily soloable by my pet. This guy does a lot of damage fast. I had to pop my Host of Elements, Servant of Ro and then alternate healing my pet and nuking the Gnoll. In the end, he went down with me at 30% mana and my pet near death.
I was hoping to get the sword for a SK alt I am working on, but alas he dropped only his head. I guess I'll be going back for another round.
The Gnolls that swarm the town after this guy goes down are not too difficult to kill, but too many to be soloed. I actually had my backstabbing waterpet chasing me as I aggroed a bunch of gnolls and ran wide circles around the town with about 20 of the Gnolls/Assassins chasing me. LOL. There were lots of dead Gnolls and I was barely scratched, but the Gnolls eventually killed the hamlet off.
omg, 65 hunter 55 aa's, invised in, entraped, inated cammod out, and he came right along. rooted and bowed him down. took a totla of 4 minutes from pull to loot. any fool can do this,
I was looking for the new ent to nerandias landing and ran by him he was blue to me at 63 and i just popped the nearest gnoll to give me a lil room and I rooted him dotted him and it took about 4 rounds of dots but he dropped without a prob.
He's a tuff lil sucker and he resisted my snare several times never resisted my root or dot's.
took him out of his misery today solo with my 58ranger (had KEI+FOS+STA+Aego so around 4900HP). I invised all the way to him (seems like noone but him see invis) and realised that there was enough space behind him to bow kite then finish off.
resisted roots a few times, i got him to 40% with Arrow+dots, then went for the easy kill, until i realised that he hits for about 220, slow him with swarmy when i was at around 60%, rooted again, healed a couple of times then finished him off. he has real big hp and hits hard (felt like killing a dragon=))) maybe around 20k hp. he walks real slow and when slowed, is a piece of cake.
