Another encounter with him today. Was blinded for 7 mins straight, then had a 20ish second gap of watching myself spin in circles. Then another 4.5 mins of non stop blindness. Prince was only aggroed by a runner. 75 rogue merc makes quick waste to anything downstairs in Chardok. Too bad he decided to make his way down the aggro list instead of picking out the prince first. Guess its time to start working those extended target window AAs lol.
Ok.. So I never saw an loc for this mob on this page so I ran around this zone for awhile looking... He is NOT after the library door you have to unlock to get to the king/queen.. When you get to the library, run past the door, take a right, and his locked door is the first one on the left. you can use illusions to get through... I got shadowstep to work too..
78 RNG, used Vinelash at the Princes door (in Feral form, just in middle of door pointing straight at the Prince in the room beyond), and got him and all his friends in the room to join him outside the door (just kept backing up between spinstuns until they were all outside the door. Had no DS to make sure he wouldn't summon me past the door, though - once all were out had druid cast thorns on me - ended up using HoA and druid nuke to kill him quickly.
Don't try soloing this guy unless you are a pet class. As an 80 bst, I almost died - took two HoT potions to save me.
His spin-stun is unresistable. I spent the whole fight stunned, and half of the fight blind. I have good resists, too.
The mistake I made was to try to slow him at the start of the fight. He can't be slowed, but I did manage to get aggro! Because of that, I couldn't get away from him and his damn spin-stun.
Fortunately my warder killed all the mobs while I was using focused paragon and HoT potions to stay alive. Anything longer to cast than focused para (2 secs or so), won't have a chance. Fortunately HoT potions are instant cast - phew!
Basically, keep pet on Prince, keep him healed, and you're golden. Just don't let him anywhere near you!
If you aren't a pet class, don't think about soloing this guy. Bring a healer, and DPS too.
As stated by ddr before, that one can get into the room without a rogue is on the date of today WRONG.
Sony might have realized that, and changed it. We just gated away from the door after trying it about 1/2 an hour with all possibilities there are. PB Area at all corners, targeted areas everywhere, Look through the door (aye .. thats possible ... but there is NO WAY to target anything!). The areas we tried had a max. width of 35 feet.
So it seems right now, that to enter the room you ONLY are ably with a rogue ..")(§)"(/
If anyone has other hints than the old one, I would be quite appreciate. The old one doesnt seem to work in any way anymore!! ((( ...
Edited 16.05.08: Had today another try ... we found a way to aggro as we commanded the pet /pet attack prince. Worked as the pet sqeezed hisself trough the door. I (Ench 66) got summoned and tried to make at least ONE areastun (had 3 memmed). Didnt work as at the mom I was in I was permastunned ((( ... Lived about 15 sec as they ate through all my shields. Servant wasnt in the mood to heal me, so that it had been it. Druidfriend could only do a gate in front the door. So I guess grats to all, which made it sucessful the other way than the one through the "§%& door with a rogue. Seems we will go and hire one ... sigh

A combination of shrink + illusion can get you through the door.
1. Stand next to door and face it. 2. Shrink to the max (min?) 3. Cast illusion, one that makes you big (bst werewolf aa works). 4. Notice you appear to be on the other side ;)
To get back:
5. Stand next to door. 6. Click off illusion. 7. Walk forwards.
Since any class can shrink now, and any class can use illusions, presumably anyone can do it.
Did this today (Oct 26th) with a 75 druid/chanter duo. Hilarious fight with endless adds.
We were clearing the whole area outside the princes room using ae spells (I had 3 pbae stuns up, being Color Collapse//Color Slant//Color Skew) when one of the AE's we were throwing out must have aggroed something in the Princes room, ending up in me being summoned into the room and aggroing everything in there as I kept up my AE stun chain, including the Prince. Charmed one mob and held on for dear life as the druid was summoned in as well. We managed to keep up the wall of AEs up, and my charmed pet chewed its way slowly through the mobs one by one. Both myself (11.5k mana 11.5khp buffed) and the druid (13.5k mana 13khp buffed) came out of it relatively unscathed, if a little low on mana! =D
Did this today with 2 groups.. was over kill and no one died except the shrouded rogue who was lvl 65. The prince room needs over 200 lock pick skill.
Was very easy to clear the halls and have the 61 sk pet pull the prince. We didnt get any adds from the room and the prince came out to fight us.. Was very easy fight.
failed first attempt because he ran away and brought adds.. someone killed him so i was able to keep his room clear for the 2 hours or so it took him to repop .. had him + 1 add on me while killing him .. Trick was to try and Chain stun him so he couldnt cast stun/spin .. having the add aggro'ed prevented him from running too.
SPEAK ENGLISH OR DON'T POST. All this crap about how "I PTA'ed his HVAC to nth. Then I PVC him to the SOL" is just useless sh-t. Give people some clear instructions in english. Maybe all these abbreviations are common knowledge on your server, but they mean NOTHING to me. Sorry. That is just my opinion. I could be wrong.
No it's not that you could be wrong, you definately are. If your at this level and still don't understand the game lingo then you should stick to hunting rats in a newbie area and stop flaming on people that are just trying to help others. This is just my opinion.
Being duo-able is old news I suppose, but duo'd this with 70 chanter and 65 cleric bot. Just loaded up on DS's using Breath of Ro and Kilva's Skin on Flame potions and charmed one of his guards while cleric HoT'd me occasionally. Took about 4-5 mins with my DS + cleric's mark spell and charmed pet doing all of the damage.
I charmed the Councilmen from a couple of rooms before to clear out all of the other rooms around the prince and to initially attack the prince's room. The councilman hits for 571, which makes short work of the guards. He died after I did a /pet attack in the princes room. I got summoned into it, hit PBAE mezz. Fortunately prince and one of his guards didn't aggro I guess since I stayed at the front of the room. Cleric got summoned in after he healed me once. Then proceded to clear the 7 other guards using charm and CC. Once all dead, charmed the final guard and tashed prince. Pretty much didn't do anything else except heal me(enchanter), while spinning, with HoTs. The hardest part of keeping mobs off my cleric when he healed, otherwise I was never really in much danger of getting melee'd to death.
what i did was take an add push it thru door to aggro the guards then got summoned back out and killed guards off all but 1. PTA'd him back thru the door killed and had prince single , pulled prince to door and inbetween stuns and blinds managed to push him back through with pta, to get summoned out of the room. had 38ds from clickies and used HoT potions his melee is low so he just ate himself up on DS as hot pots kept me alive. he fled at 18% and it was over. will be farming the **** outta the royals till i nab a few DI spells for guild clerics.
Dude this worked perfect. I was having trouble trying to find a key for the door. Can't find a guide for it anywhere and since illusions don't work anymore, this was the perfect solution. Just grabbed a mob and banished him through the door. I aggroed the whole room. Perfection.
just duoed shammy and war just fight down there and get urself summoned into his room i did it with pushbackroot (viru para) shammy aa killed adds in his room was reall easy think we got em all at the same time prince + 1 guard (green) won,t add we are both lvl 70 and pretty well geared 8k mana unbuffed and hes olmoast 11k unbuffed the prince seemed to have olmoast the same hp amount as the guards he was a laugh but still u can,t solo this guy he proc a stunspin olmoast every hit so war wans,t doing much pets were doing it with maw
OK, here is the deal with this guy. The Prince himself is a total wussy. The problem is pulling him without the 8 other mobs in his room adding. My group wiped several times by getting the whole Prince room on us. When we finally got the Prince with just one add, we squashed him flat in less than a minute.
Our group was 3 people, everybody 2-boxing a second toon: 65 Enchanter (me) & 54 Cleric 67 Necro & 53 Warrior 65 Shaman & 58 Rogue
Nobody has any special gear. All bazaar stuff.
What doesn't work First I tried pacifying the room and stunning the Prince with Largarn's Lament to get him out of his room. This does NOT WORK. Prince seems to have an insanely big assist range, because even after being pacified the entire room added with him.
How we successfully pulled him with one add Our rogue kept the door open for me. I pacified the entire room except for the Prince, then I pulled out the two mobs closest to the door and we killed them. Then I pacified the room again, except for Prince, and I pulled the mob second closest to the door. This apparently was close enough for the Prince to assist, so we got the Prince and one add.
Our necro had dotted the add because I had announced it as Incoming, so I sat there and let the add beat on me with arcane rune while my party finished off the Prince. He went down so fast it was comical.
Max hit from the Prince Things were a little hectic with the add beating on me, but I did notice the Prince hitting me for 71 damage (snicker). I did not notice getting hit by anyone for more than 200.
Respawn time After a little less than 2 hours, I wandered back in to see if the Prince was back yet. He was there, so his respawn is less than 2 hours. Tips If you are going to one-group this guy, have everyone work on Chardok faction. It will save you so much time and make your life much easier. With good faction you can just walk straight to the Prince's room.
You must have someone who can snare or root. All the sarnaks will be more than happy to flee and pull a huge train on you.
It is possible to target the Prince and his goons through the door if you either shrink or turn yourself into a small race. Going into first-person view will then allow you to look through the door for targets. It's a lot easier to just bring a rogue with you though.
Good luck if you try this guy without a raid like we did! It took a lot of hard work, but I finally got what was, for me, the bottleneck piece in my epic.
Managed to pull the prince, and company, without opening his door, Made an enchanter happy, well one of the two enchanters, one died then lost the roll on the head by 5 with his 91. I stuck my nose into the left hand corner of the door where it meets the wall and Feigned Death, when I stood up I had a brief moment where I could see inside the room, but not long enough to target anything. Seems that I got far enough in the room to agro one of the guards, either that or my deoderant had worn off because This guard was attacking me, then I get trapped in whirling winds and see my health drop rapidly to 20% then I go blind I hit mend then Feign death again, by the time my vision came back the prince was in the hall at 72% health with 2 guards and a sourcerer. 2 groups average lvl 57 took them all out with only one death, the chanter that lost the roll on the head.
